Balthier and Ashe? Total and utter fan pairing! I think he developed a soft spot for her, I don't think she was interested. I'm trying to like FF12 more, I'm a little hard on it.
i really liked it, i was low level which made the battles more interesting and challenging, basically didnt level up and train so i could get on with the story and i really got into it. i dont think he liked her in anyway like that, and same way back i think they just got on well, i would advice you to basically almost rush it, but pay attention, its a really good game when you can get into it properly can see why people dislike it but i think its one of the best ones
Ah, that's where we differ, I'm a leveling up freak! I'm going to start it again and try not to compare it to others (namely 9 and 10) as that's just unfair. I don't want to turn into one of those people who diss one game. I don't hate FF12, I actually think the gameplay is good and I applaud Square for having the balls to change FF. I still don't think Vaan is lead character material and Penelo is just pointless, but I like Balthier and Fran. Balthier reminds me of Setzer!
well i can see why you didnt like 12 of you level loads in fact most level up people hate 12 cus it makes hours of it pointless at times, not for everyone though, i always saw it the same as 6 where there isnt a main character theres a main story including a set of characters, i liked setzer but you didnt get to find out much about him, doesnt really remind of baltheir, gogo was my favourite character in 6 lol
It's just the devil may care attitude, and the liking for the ladies that makes me think of Setzer, Balthier is not as flashy! I was so happy they put Setzer in KH2, I nearly had a seizure! FF12's characters don't compare to FF6's for me, but even FF6 suffered from poor character development at times, like with Setzer. I liked Locke and Terra, and didn't think much of Gau or Celes. I'm having trouble remembering Gogo....
i like celes, i hated gau (death to gau !!!). Gogo was a secret character you can only get in the world of ruin, he/she (thats right gender unknown) has really poor stats in everything and cant equip espers but has the mimic command and choose any commands it likes so you could have mimic, tools throw and steal if you wanted lol,
also if you choose magic gogo automatically knows all the spells of the whole party so if someone learns a spell gogo learns it too, you can give it good equipment to make it have decent stats though and become uber awesome
I found Celes to be a little unconvincing in her role, this cookie cutter pretty young girl was supposed to be this super powerful warrior....or maybe it's just that I only have room for Terra! Gau is so stupid! Ah, that's why I don't remember...ummm...it, I never met Gogo, I didn't even know there was a Gogo...I'm so depressed now!
gogo was just awesome, if gogo used a mimic ability it did it with more damage as well, like if you throw a shuriken gogo's did more damage than shadows lol gogo is awesome, celes is suppost to be used for magic which is why you probably struggled, i used terra as a black mage and celes for white then gogo and shadow dealt damage, i would just throw with shadow and then gogo would mimic so you dont waste a throwing star or weapon, seriously replay 6 and get gogo lol
That's annoying me now, FF6 was the first FF I ever played, the one with the biggest nostalgia factor and the one I thought I knew tons about...obviously not! I just finished replaying it like 2 weeks ago, and now I found out I've missed a character who sounds uber! Do you realize what you've done to me lol!
lol theres another hidden character called Umaro as well lol in case you didnt get him, i dont rate him though, hes easier to get so you might of got him, gogo is only uber when used correctly most people would look at him/her and think he/shes shite but used properly is amazing, requires really good equipment though, cant equip as well as some other characters, i got him/her by accident as well lol, you have the advance version? its better if not get an emulator and play it there
I do have it and the advance version is better actually. Yeah, I got Umaro, but only cause someone told me about him first, I suck at uncovering secrets. I didn't get the optional characters in FF7 either, and I missed some of the more powerful aeons in FF10, I think I need to pay attention more. There aren't as many secrets in the newer FF's, the old ones are just littered with them.
lol trust me there are just not as many people are finding them what i do is run through the game, then ill do it again and try and get everything, literally everything, my ff10 file is over a hundred hours long my 12 isnt far off, the only one ive fully 100% done everything is 9. in 7 i found yuffie by mistake and vincent i already knew about. 10 the aeons i got all of i always try and get every summon, 10 in particular, anima and shiva were awesome lol my best 2 summons
I have 270 hours on FF10 O_O It's mainly due to manually leveling up all my aeons. Anima and Shiva are my two best summons as well, Anima's limit is awesome, and Shiva just kicks ass! I don't have as many hours on FF12 as I do some of the other ones. The only game I have completed in it's entirety is 10, God bless guides! I've probably missed a crapload of stuff in FF9, which is is shame as I love it! I don't own it or FF4, 5 and 8 anymore.
lol i dont own 4 or 5 either but there the only ones, 9 i did everything quite low level, i beat ozma level 65, 10 im just not the right level (well not modified the grid well enough) to do everything yet, i can beat the lower level dark aeons but not the higher ones

Well I found Ozma to be quite hard. I was working hard at school then, so I couldn't spend quite as much time playing it. I always had Zidane and Eiko in my party. I'm not a huge 8 fan, it was good, but after 7 I found 8 concentrated mainly on graphics and looking pretty. Plus the characters were teenagers, I hate teens in video games! I love most FF's, especially 4, 7, 9 and 10.
Well sometimes people look younger than they are, I'm 22, but I look 15 and I don't get let into bars! I liked the ages in FF6, FF7 and FF10, nice mix of teens, young adults and older adults. Too many hormones flying around in 8!

its got an amazing story, gameplay is alright, i avoid doing all the missions, it stretches a 15 hour game to 30 it would also make all the fights really easy cus youll be high leveled, im gonna play through again and do them though
It's the story I'm not sure about, especially the Nibelheim part, I already know what happened there. Zack getting the spotlight in a game was inevitable, but I see they've added in some new characters too....I hate new characters. After Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, I'm wary of spin offs.
advent children i hated loz and kadaj, yazoo was alright but should have been jenova and sephiroth. dirge of cerberus i liked weiss and nero but thought it was stupid, story made sense and was alright but the whole hojo thing was crap. as a whole not a great game. crisis core the nibelheim thing is right at the end, and goes into more detail and it is a really interesting original story which is good, i like all the new characters as well, cissnei angeal, genesis lol
They just shouldn't have made Advent Children at all. You notice that they couldn't make anything involving Cloud and the FFVII lot without finding a way to bring Sephiroth into it? I'm beginning to think that people only buy these games because he's in them. He's awesome, but after going through all that in the game, the bad guy shouldn't be able to come back....I mean Aeris and Zack can't!
well i agree aeris and zack cant, and shouldnt !!! there are loose ends in 7 best left as loose ends like who did he like aeris or tifa thing, but i think it should have been an enemy from the original game i hate kadaj and the other 2 as bad guys, it should have been rufus or jenova from the lifestream or sephiroth because jenova is still in the lifestream and active in the lifestream. i personally think that it was alright but could have been great, they ruined it with irrelevant characters
Hey! Aeris fangirl over here *grumble* Oh, I call those three the shiny triplets, and I didn't like them. One of them had a really cool gun though. I thought one of them was a girl for ages lol! They castrated Rufus in the film, he was never a good guy, neither were the Turks I might add. Jenova was absent from the movie, well, her goo was there, but it would have been cool if she could have appeared in one of her weird forms. Cloud got shot in the film, I enjoyed that part :)
yeah right in the face lol that was the best part, appart from the tifa and loz fight, i like aeris but i think if they brought her back to life they would kill it, it would ruin the ff7 series, the whole point of her dying was to be a shock and it be sudden and gives the other characters and you a reason to hate sephiroth, bringing her back takes that away and makes the whole thing pointless
Nah, you're quite right, Aeris coming back would be a disaster! Like Tidus coming back in FFX-2, that just cheapened the whole tragic ending of FFX. nah thats a rumour thankgod, theyve said they have no plans of a remake, its the ps3 tech demo that caused all the speculation but it was actually just supposed to show off the white engine, and was an early promotion for crisis core, its a secret ending after the credits, i hated it when they brought tidus back, i was happy i was like yes hes dead, as soon as i found out he would die it urged me to finish lol, i hated him with a passion, he was ok towards the end but left a bad first impression
Oh, you've just made me feel so much better. I actually e-mailed Square Enix once to register my protest against a remake, most FFVII fans hate me but I can't be the only one who thinks they'd ruin it. I don't want any FF games to be remade. Period. Especially not that one cos I love it too much. Tidus tried to be like Zidane and he failed so badly! He whined all the time, what did he have to be so sad about? Compared to someone like Cloud he had it easy!
a remake would completely fail, people think they want it, but if they re made it it would be split over aeris, for a start it wouldnt be a shock. second people would be arguing over whether she comes back or not if she does people will complain if they dont people will complain, if they add or change anything worth while appart from graphics it will piss off a significant amount of people and i think they know that lol
I think a remake would fail because FFVII had a certain charm that came from the graphics and the text based dialog. Some of the scenes in it would look ridiculous with FFXII style graphics and corny voice acting. No doubt Square Enix would change things too, and add in pointless characters and subplots. It's younger fans I blame for this, fans who jumped on the bandwagon. I don't want any of the older FF games to be remade either, as it just wouldn't work, they'd no longer be good games.
well im happy with the game boy advance remakes, they corrected translation errors and added things that didnt effect the story or plot like extra espers and stuff, and rebalanced it abit, im gonna test ff4 on ds but ive not got my hopes up
Yeah the Advance remakes are good, I'll agree with you there, but could you imagine full blown remakes on the Wii or PS3? I think I would hate them! Does FF4 on DS have voice acting? Please tell me it doesn't. You wanna know the reason why I'm wary of the 7 spin offs? The voice acting is a big turn off...

There you go again, dissing Aeris lol! I've heard a few voices and I didn't like any of them except for Cloud's. Japanese voiceovers are usually good. I didn't like some of the AC voices either, but Vincent's is pretty good. I don't think I'll bother with FFIV on the DS then, I just can't imagine those characters speaking. What next, FFVI with voices? I'm dreading that one....
At this point some "fan" or other is slamming them if they so much as blink, so when you think about it they haven't got very much to lose. I personally would like a remake just so I have a chance to actually get my hands on a freaking copy that I can trust to still be in good condition.
if you search youtube you can probably find a guide showing you gogo or how to get he/she, i found it by accident, go to triangle island and this thing ate all my characters and put me in a cave and at the end of the cave was gogo, i used mimes in ff5 so i gave her a trial in my party lol as i had a slot open and i liked mimes but i looked at the stats and thought he/shes crap and then couldnt equip espers i was like no, but i gave a trial cus of mimic then i found out about the magic lol

Jenova was absent from the movie, well, her goo was there, but it would have been cool if she could have appeared in one of her weird forms. Cloud got shot in the film, I enjoyed that part :)

yeah right in the face lol that was the best part, appart from the tifa and loz fight, i like aeris but i think if they brought her back to life they would kill it, it would ruin the ff7 series, the whole point of her dying was to be a shock and it be sudden and gives the other characters and you a reason to hate sephiroth, bringing her back takes that away and makes the whole thing pointless

Nah, you're quite right, Aeris coming back would be a disaster! Like Tidus coming back in FFX-2, that just cheapened the whole tragic ending of FFX. He got shot twice lol, he got shot at the end too, and by the same guy :) Yeah, I loved that fight scene too, only because Tifa got stabbed again (is that her hobby lol) I've heard there's going to be a remake of FF7, Gawd I hope not lol!

nah thats a rumour thankgod, theyve said they have no plans of a remake, its the ps3 tech demo that caused all the speculation but it was actually just supposed to show off the white engine, and was an early promotion for crisis core, its a secret ending after the credits, i hated it when they brought tidus back, i was happy i was like yes hes dead, as soon as i found out he would die it urged me to finish lol, i hated him with a passion, he was ok towards the end but left a bad first impression

Oh, you've just made me feel so much better. I actually e-mailed Square Enix once to register my protest against a remake, most FFVII fans hate me but I can't be the only one who thinks they'd ruin it. I don't want any FF games to be remade. Period. Especially not that one cos I love it too much. Tidus tried to be like Zidane and he failed so badly! He whined all the time, what did he have to be so sad about? Compared to someone like Cloud he had it easy!

a remake would completely fail, people think they want it, but if they re made it it would be split over aeris, for a start it wouldnt be a shock. second people would be arguing over whether she comes back or not if she does people will complain if they dont people will complain, if they add or change anything worth while appart from graphics it will piss off a significant amount of people and i think they know that lol

I think a remake would fail because FFVII had a certain charm that came from the graphics and the text based dialog. Some of the scenes in it would look ridiculous with FFXII style graphics and corny voice acting. No doubt Square Enix would change things too, and add in pointless characters and subplots. It's younger fans I blame for this, fans who jumped on the bandwagon. I don't want any of the older FF games to be remade either, as it just wouldn't work, they'd no longer be good games.

well im happy with the game boy advance remakes, they corrected translation errors and added things that didnt effect the story or plot like extra espers and stuff, and rebalanced it abit, im gonna test ff4 on ds but ive not got my hopes up

Yeah the Advance remakes are good, I'll agree with you there, but could you imagine full blown remakes on the Wii or PS3? I think I would hate them! Does FF4 on DS have voice acting? Please tell me it doesn't. You wanna know the reason why I'm wary of the 7 spin offs? The voice acting is a big turn off...

it does have voice acting, the only voice ive heard in the spin-offs i dont like is aeris in crisis core, cus they changed it and it sounded good before,

There you go again, dissing Aeris lol! I've heard a few voices and I didn't like any of them except for Cloud's. Japanese voiceovers are usually good. I didn't like some of the AC voices either, but Vincent's is pretty good. I don't think I'll bother with FFIV on the DS then, I just can't imagine those characters speaking. What next, FFVI with voices? I'm dreading that one....

At this point some "fan" or other is slamming them if they so much as blink, so when you think about it they haven't got very much to lose. I personally would like a remake just so I have a chance to actually get my hands on a freaking copy that I can trust to still be in good condition.

if you search youtube you can probably find a guide showing you gogo or how to get he/she, i found it by accident, go to triangle island and this thing ate all my characters and put me in a cave and at the end of the cave was gogo, i used mimes in ff5 so i gave her a trial in my party lol as i had a slot open and i liked mimes but i looked at the stats and thought he/shes crap and then couldnt equip espers i was like no, but i gave a trial cus of mimic then i found out about the magic lol
