Actually, he isn't really shy in Japan. He just doesn't be used to explain something in English way. And in Japanese culture, people don't usually explain much why they like or why they want unless they are asked or they want to insist strongly. TV personalities in Japan are talkative though.

Generalizing that all people in Japan are polite or humble is what caused me trouble. There are assholes in Japan and there are kind people in Japan; the same as anywhere else. There are also plenty of people who like me how I am, people I like and respect. I didn't change myself to fit any molds in America and I wouldn't start in Japan.

I'm an English teacher. The forest doesn't have an exact name but it's by a lake called Saiko (that's right like Psycho). Japan is a great place. You'll have fun

Whatever you're drinking, as soon as you put it down you're picking it up again lol what is it?

The forest was once destroyed by an eruption of Mt. Fuji. It's now very dense and pretty easy to get lost in. Also traces of magnetic elements trapped in the ground from the previous eruption render most compasses useless. For those reasons, it seems to be a very popular place to off yourself. I'll try to go into more detail in my next video
