I have a few of the old Jackson Southernaires cds but putting the video to the music completes it..I also caught the announcer at the end of this selection, Mr. Herman Amis..I remember him from my days in NJ..does any know if Mr. Amis is still around? He was one of the great DJs back in the day.
Lord lead me! I can't do anything without you. I grew up listening to this song, and it still brings tears to my eyes! Sometimes when you're going through, thats all you can do is ask God to lead you. This song truly speaks to my soul. Thank you Lord.
My Fathers' too, he used to drive a truck and was in Mississippi, and he saw their bus, and was able to speak to them, wow that made his day, he said how gracious they were to him...Praise be to God
This song tears me up everytime I hear it...Franklin Delano Williams{R.I.P}was truly annointed!!! Oh and by the way "The Jackson Southernaires" have a new cd entitled "Destiny"...if you get the chance check it out it's pretty good. Mr.Huey Williams aint no joke!!!
I love and grew up listening to this song this song. I have a cousin who is a grandson of Frank Williams, and nephew of the rest of the Williams Brothers. Huey has proven to be a true Warrior of the Lord when he sings.
Gospel that touches the soul... no jumping around, no rap hooks, no gimmicks...just sincere words to the Lord that we can all relate to! Bless those who are witnesses.
I love this song my grandpa and uncle would sing this man. Whew! Anybody know who sings "My Arms will be knew and My legs will be too, I'll just walk around heaven with the lord" ???
frank williams is by far the greatest vocalist ever in gospel music. if you disagree just listen to "near the cross". nobody else has really even attempted it!
you are exactly right. Frank is the greatest past present and maybe future...i was so sad when i found out he died right here in my home town(savannah,ga) at the arport.
the williams brothers are the best and i am a 36 years old female and they really hit home i can really relate to each and every word in every song they sing especially the duets by huey they really got me through the storm when my grandmother passed
sorry about your grandmother! my grandmother brought home one of the albums from one of the programs in the early 80's. I have been a fan from then on. everytime they come to the tampabay area. I am in attendance HUEY!is a true warrior in the army of the LORD!
That piano run @ 2:42 is somethin special...I love it. Are Frank and Huey Williams related to the Williams Brothers that sing "Living Testimony" and "I'm Just a Nobody", etc.?
Huey is actually the 2nd oldest brother. He has a brother Leon Jr who is 3 years older. I read the "Still Standing" biography down by younger brother Doug and Melvin of the "Williams Brothers". The oldest daughter was married to Willie Banks, another great gospel quartet singer out of MS.
huey is on lead! love his voice!
