My Dad is going today on Veteran's Day. Left at 9:00am this morning. This will be one of the big days of his life. It means SO MUCH for him to have this opportunity. I know that they will take care of him and treat him like royalty!
My father was able to take the flight October 15, 2011. He said it was one of the best days of his life. And, at 90 (this coming January), that's is saying a lot!
I am a graduate student putting together a compilation of stories from Veterans from WWII. I am looking to interview anyone who has a story from WWII. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with our highly regarded Veterans. Interviewing them would be such an honor. I believe that personal stories are such an important part of history. It mentions no cost to veteran at about 50 seconds into the video. But, yes, it should re-emphasize that point.
