  • thanks :D

  • whaouh! i have this pedal but i don't know how use it :/ is it an improvisation or there are tabs for your riff?

    thanks!

  • @lemanchotdu72 Merci!! It depends on what you are looking for but you can get different tones cranking both knobs up and playing with your guitar volume. Playing it through a slightly overdriven amp also helps but as you can hear from the video my amp was clean (didn't want to upset the neighbours) and sounds nice as well. It's just a matter of taking the time to experiment with it. No tabs, i was just noodling around while a friend of mine was screwing around with the knobs :D Rob

  • yeah!

  • addictive riff :D

  • @hjalmarBuoi Thanks!!

  • Awesome playing and awesome pedal! What the name of the song that you played in the video ?

  • @SD011 Thanks!! I wasn't trying to play any song in particular, but it does sound like the rhythm part of Black Betty or Walk Away. Rob

  • One of the best for sure, very musical...have 2 rams head, univox superfuzz, old acetone...that one is my favorite great sustain and you can clean with the volume knobs on your guitare.

    Amazing!!!

  • wow that is without a doubt the best sounding fuzz pedal i've ever heard, are there any modern fuzz pedals that come even near that sound? Or is there anywhere that this can be found, i expect not.

  • Thanks!! This one is pretty much a Tone Bender MKII as it was made by Sola Sound. I know that D*A*M* make nice sounding ones.

    Rob

  • The Throbak "Stone Bender" sound killer

    .

  • I have one What kind of battery does this use Ive always wondered? Looks like mine was made in the UK

  • Great question. Originally this (as my Marshall wah) were made to run on PP4 batteries, but both of my pedal had a typical 9V battery clips when i got them. I don't think that it needs any other modification than soldering the clip wires to the terminal, but just to be sure ask any DIY effect forum.

    Rob

  • Hi! Nice sound! Can you put on line a sample with marshall supa fuzz and a wah???

    Thanks...

  • Thanks. Good idea. i probably will once i get the time.

    Rob

  • Hi! Many people says tone benders don't work with wah pedals.

Can you say the same for Marshall Supa Fuzz?

I've got an italian Vox Tone Bender (with sft germanium transistors), and it doesn't work with wah pedals (I've got an italian Vox from late sixties and a '76 Thomas Organ Cry Baby).

The only wah I used with satisfaction is the Colorsound.

So... do you use a wah with your Marshall Supa Fuzz? And wich is the best wah to use with it for you?

    Thanks a lot!

  • To be honest with you a rarely play these. This is stuff that i have collected over the years and sometime i'll use one for a recording session, don't want to bring that stuff on the road, i'd rather use boutique stuff that does the job as well. I remember hooking them both together once and don't recall any problem like oscilliation, which is one problem i had with my Sunface. I use an old Vox reissue. You can hear it on our version of Voodoo Child and Too Rolling Stone on this channel. Rob

  • Mine was stolen out of a dressing room in London in 2004...

  • Really musical for a fuzz pedal!

  • OMG this pedal sounds FANTASTIC!!!!

    Rob

  • where can u buy these guys i cant find them anywhere please help me

  • The Marshall Supa Fuzz and the Sola Sound Tone Bender MK II almost exactly the same, but different. The only differences between the two are the two capacitors (the input and the bypass) and two resistors (Q2's collector resistor and resistor from the base of Q1 to ground).

Get the E.S.V. Two-Knob Bender from BYOC & instead of building the pedal to the Tone Bender MKII specifications, turn it into a Marshall Supa Fuzz clone by changing the two resistors & two capacitors and that's it.

  • By the way, the "Q" in Q1 & Q2 means 'Transistor.' Both the Sola Sound Tonebender MK II and the Marshall Supa Fuzz used OC75 Transistors.

    Hope this helps.

  • thanks for the info bro!! it's greatly appreciated!!

    Rob

  • You are welcome! Enjoy.

    David

  • Yes, this is great sound and hand

    Bobby the zip,

  • Stupidly good playing, excellent tone.

  • Hey thanks bro!!

    Rob

  • I have one exactly like this, scored it for $500.00 at a guitar shop in Maryland along with a Heathkit fuzz , it freakin rocks. Very old school sounding and beautiful tone and harmonics, to think I almost passed this pedal up because of the price. This one is staying with me, period. Others come close but no cigar. Cool video.

  • hi, I missed your comment stating its a paul and a 50 watt marshall ..

is the marshall a master vol type or non master volume, cheers

  • it's a JCM800 with the master volume, but it's tweeked to get a cleaner sound one the low input.

    Rob

  • what amp and guitar are you using in this clip ? absolutely killer tone.

  • sweet sound

  • bad ass mo-fo. I want one!

  • i saw some Supa clones demo on YT, but they don't sound too good. don't know if it's the pedals, amps, settings... or the player though!!!

    Rob

  • Great demo, Robert!

    Nice pedal, dude!

  • Neat sounding tone. I was searching my word bank for one of those "tone words" (warm, full, dark, meaty, etc.), and nothing came to mind. Something new!
