You're right about having Grant Hill and an improved Hurley and Laettner. UNLV was better too, though. 4 starters had returned & Duke had lost 2 of their leading scorers. @cacable7 in basketball you do.duke got blown out by unc in 91 in the acc final.then blew out unc by 20 the very next year.this happens all the time in basketball.
this UNLV team is the most hated championship team by the NCAA... they did a marvelous job of destroying what suppose to be a dynasty team of the 90's.
I would have liked to seen Hank Gathers play for LMU when they met UNLV in the NCAA Tourney, that might have been a even higher scoring game, and Koodos to whoever made this video throwing the fading image of Hank in there. RIP Hank Gathers
Best College Basketball team I've ever seen!!! Say what you want about their actions & going to class when LJ Greg Anthony Anderson Hunt & company got out on the floor there wasn't a better team that I've seen in my life!!!!
91 team was better even though they didn't win it all. Evric Gray was an improvement off the bench over Barry Young and as much as I loved Moses we had 7 foot, future NBAer Elmore Spencer backing up Ackles at center. Ackles/Spencer was even better than Butler/Scurry. Either way: best college b-ball team ever!
Even though it was basically the same team, I think the '91 team was even better. They came into the Final Four undefeated and faced Duke, who also had most of the same players and got beat by 30 just a year before, UNLV thought they could just show up and win, but Duke played the game of their life and defeated the unbeatable team. It's a shame too, because that team beats Duke 99 out of 100 times, but Duke caught them flat. Hats off to them, but that UNLV team was the best of all time.
@pappppie Totally agree man. The Rebs were unstoppable. Tark was robbed. A championship. An undefeated season. Two final fours. And then out of a job in less than two years. Where in the history of college basketball has that happened. Total witch hunt by the NCAA and then president of UNLV Bob Maxson and AD dennis frinfrock. If Tark would have stayed, UNLV would have had a good 10 year run at the top..atleast.
HBO is making a documentary about UNLV on March 12...must see TV for any sports fan. ESPN did a great job with the 30 for 30 series but this was one of the most glaring oversights in their documentary series...they should have done one on UNLV because it would have been just as good as "The U"
@dpinzow the UNLV doc should have been 2hours, just like the fab 5. I'm glad that HBO did a doc on the Rebs....but to cover 19 years in 1 hour ? Doesn't do Tark and his legacy justice. Espn did 2 years on the fab 5 for 2 hours. I hope espn does one on the rebs as well.
@myez the 1996 Kentucky team is loaded with talent but the 1990 UNLV team is a better defensive team plus their run-and-gun game is one of the best in the nation.
They would of definitely been without any doubt the best ever.if shawn kemp would of went to unlv as their center instead of the pro's..They easily are the best in college basketball i have ever seen. There aren't any final four champions even close since 90 like them no matter what people try to say.If they would of represented the usa at the goodwill games that summer as national champions. There would have never had to send the dream team.Just a "CORONER" :)
Tough to say if they were the "GOAT" college team but they were by far my fave and the way they played game is what turned me on to basketball as a youngster.
The next year. They went undefeated for the entire year UNTIL the championship game. Everyone said they couldn't be defeated. I remember watching the faces of Larry, Stacy and all of them when Duke beat them. It was priceless. They couldn't believe they lost. One of the most memorial events in NCAA men's basketball history.
@coulari they can beat duke everytime... the team was really distracted from the start of the season and duke capitalized on their lack of focus to beat them in that final four game.
@bonzie1645 i dont remember greg anthony fouling out.and if he did it must have been super late in the game.i will look at the game and see.i thought greg anthony took the last shot?the turning point to me was bobby hurley hitting the 3 pointer when unlv went up by 5 late in the game.thats when i knew there was no denying duke.
@drlubba i agree... the 1991 team were 34-0 (if i'm not mistaken) prior to the final 4 and they win all their games with an average winning margin of 28 points per game.
@idster7 They definately overachieved and got revenge from the year prior, no doubt Duke was up there, but I'm not convinced Florida could hang with either Duke or the Rebels. Laetner and LJ would kill Noah down low
This UNLV squad was untouchable. They were a juggernaut. They had the perfect starting five. They were really Rebels and boy did they make watching basketball fun.
This is one of those really weird stories in sports where you have a program that was an ABSOLUTE POWERHOUSE for two or three years and then, after that, just NOTHING. Another example might be those Arkansas teams from the mid-'90s led by Corliss Williamson. A national title, another appearance in the championship game, and then, again, they just sort of disappeared and haven't really been back since. I guess that's why we have the metaphor "flash in the pan."
@bzurvalec actually UNLV was and NCAA regular from 1977 to 1991...not just two or three years. Final fours in 1977, 1988, 1990 and 1991....and first #1 ranking in the country in 1983....in fact, UNLV is still the 3rd or 4th winingest program of all time and was just in the sweet 16 in 2006-7 season.
This year, UNLV will have a top 25 ranking, and feel they will be easily a top15 team....oh, and UNLV is currently building 20 million practice facility for hoops. Still a decent program...
UNLV 90 squad would have beat any NCAA Chapionship team period to many horses would have went back to back if certain players were payed to lose the semi to Duke and thats real talk.
well that story of urs might be true except for one important fact.duke won the 92 national championship and repeated after beating unlv so they proved it wass nof fluke u damn moron.
@donswaheli Never the 90 rebels with butler abd scurry were untamable. When these guys were on the road to the championship they were hungry and ready to destroy all challengers even your 1996 uk wildcats would get destroyed!
@bertmustin rhetoric...that's all you're spewing. Tark took 4 teams to the final four at UNLV and on all four of them, he had local Las Vegas recruits heavily involved (Greg Anthony, Robert Smith, Freddie Banks....etc...)...heck, UNLV's first #1 ranking was in 1983 when Tarkanian's son Danny was the starting PG....Danny was one recruit that there's no doubt was given extra benefits, since the day he was born, by the head coach.
I'm guessing HBO's documentary will tell the truth...
I don't think Tarkanian was responsible for any 'benefits' his players received. My opinion he looked the other way like most coaches when a school is committing illegal activities.
And I didn't even have to mention UNLV's best player Larry Johnson. It is possible that Noah and Horford could check LJ, but there is no way they could defend Hunt, Augmon, Johnson, AND Anthony. It just couldn't be done. A motivated 90 UNLV team would demolish any college team in history, but 07 Florida had the horses to make it interesting I confess.
In my opinion, basketball usually comes down to guard play. That's why you will see a small team like Butler do well. 1990 UNLV would beat 07 Florida because Greg Anthony and Anderson Hunt are in my opinion better than Green and Humphrey. Augmon would shut Brewer down. The one advantage Fla. would have is down low with Noah and Horford, but UNLV's guards are much better, therefore they would win.
I have watched college bball for many, many years and in my opinion, the 1990 UNLV team was the greatest ever. The defense is what set this team apart. Four of the five starters averaged 2 steals per game and that's what set off the greatest fast break in basketball history. It's unfortunate that they couldn't finish off the undefeated season the next year because they took Duke lightly.
@ragzy02 Do you think Butler could have taken the 1990 & 1991 UNLV teams the way they took Duke to the wire this year? I would not bet my savings on it. Those UNLV teams would have put this Butler team away long before the final miss thus sparing Butler any heartache.
@team407izme What about the Kareem and Walton UCLA teams? Those are generally regarded as the best college teams ever. I loved UNLV 90-91, as well as Kentucky in 96 and Duke in '01 (well, I hate Duke but that was a fantastic team).
I've never seen a team play together and play the right way the 07 gators played. To me and I know a lot about basketball, coached it and watched it for years, that Gators team is the best college basketball team I've ever seen in 30 years. I had no doubt after Noah's SEC tournament speech in 07 that they were ready and they steamrolled the country just like in 06, what a team
you guys are right, UNLV was the best team. But not the 90's rebels it was the 1977 rebels. The 77 rebels averaged 103 points per game. Oh yeah, thats when there was no 3 pointers or shot clock. Teams would try to hold the ball as long as they could but that still didnt help. The rebels played full court press the whole game. That squad had 7 players go to the NBA. No other team, ever could touch them offensively. If you ever get a chance to watch their games you will see what I mean
@goldissue Not familiar w/ this team. This was after Tarkanian came from Long Beach or before? He had the Pondexters at CSULB, but I'm not very familiar with the 77 UNLV Rebs. Who was on that squad?
Someone just said ellington, hansbrough, and Lawson - nough said. Ok, how about Larry johnson , stacey augmon and greg anthony? These were men playing against boys. shit the 91 squad is the last squad that ever went undefeated into the mens ncaa tournament - nough said. the 90 squad even won by 30 pts in the championship, get outta her UNC fans.
The only college teams that would have a prayer against the early 90s UNLV teams are 99 Duke or 83 Houston
UNLV would absolutely smoke any UNC team of the last decade, easily. Its laughable to even bring that up. Hell UNLV would smoke the 82 and 93 Tarheels as well
Does anyone know where you can find the UNLV games from 90 thru 92, I had ever game on VHS and my brother felt it necessary to copy over them w/YO MTV RAPS and BET the Basement (which I enjoy) but I had the UNLV/Michigan St game when Steve Smith was still playing and UNLV ran them out the gym
objective must be a duke fan. 30 pt loss in a championship game.. and they're overrated after going 69-6 during the 89-90 and 91-92 years. they had a near perfect season in 91 and only lost by 2pts in the final four; almost going back to back championships. That team could have beat NBA teams. Without a doubt the best NCAA basketball team ever and one of the best NCAA teams in sports history.
@Zdizzlz As much as I hate Roy Williams, I have to admit the 2009 Tar Heels would have beaten this 1990 rebels team by double digits just like when they won all 6 tourney games by at least 15 points. Ty Lawson and Duke Ellington could handle the ameba defense. UNLV did not have anyone to handle Hansborugh up front. He would have scored at least 40 points. Tark has a lot more class than crybaby Roy. I would cheer for Rebels if the 2 teams played but sadly UNC had better players.
@eaglesyz since the game will never be played we'll never know, but I do think you underestimate that UNLV team's ability to D & just how would UNC match up defensively? People remember the lopsided high scoring games, but UNLV were capable of being VERY physical on the block & in the post as well as quick and long on the perimeter. LJ played bigger than his height a la Charles Barkley/Corliss Williamson and Stacey Augmon showed a lot of similarity to Scotty Pippen's NBA defensive prowess.
I will agree LJ is a cut above the forwards that North Carolina had. He was not only big and physical but agile and great moves inside a la Kevin McHale. If the game were played I think you and I could agree that Roy Williams would be crying to the refs the whole game. We both could agree that the refs would be against the rebels. Tark knew everyone outside Vegas was against the Rebels and he handles it in such a way that it did not affect the play of his team. That shows a great coach.
This team would of taken it any other champions in ncaa. The had butler and scurry that could run and gun. They were hungary and talented that would be the edge vs good champion teams.
UNLV can't even recruit locally in Basketball. There have been few people who were locally besides Greg Anthony from Rancho HS, Freddie Banks, and Marcus Banks From Cimarron Memorial. while good teams come from the recruiting, and everything else.
u know what team reminds me of this UNLV team? and the 91 team? the 2008 memphis tigers. super athletic but DAMN they lost the championship. well not THIS rebels team but the 91 team did
Oddjob2331, fans come with success, success comes from good players, good players come from good recruiting, good recruiting comes from good coaches...its a tough chain of command but hopefully we can get back to where we once were...oh and its not like we dont have fans, the Mack is still pulling wel over 10k a game for big games
as richard pryor always sayiid...have a coke+assmile

Our 1991 squad was the best team to ever play college basketball...but one fluke in the final four against duke will keep the Rebs from being recognized as the best ever.
why do you go around to all of these amazing unlv vids and talk trash? Your life is a disgrace, besides what youre watching is the most dominant (and controversial) team ever in college basketball
pg greg anthony sg anderson hunt sf stacy augman pf larry johnson c george ackles thats da year they lost to duke the year they won the title moses scurry was the sf i have never seen a team that thoro at every position like that ever in my life only like 2 guys came off the bench
If there ever was a squad that could galvanize a countries hatred for Duke it would be these guys. They reminded me of the b-ball version of the 85 Bears....a tidal wave of dominance, but never saw the "Dynasty" tag.
remember after Duke won the championship, Larry Johnson, Anthony, Augmon,Hunt, all were driving around in Benzes and having big money.Gave Duke a point shaving title. They were blowing people out all year.
unlv comes from a very weak conference duke speaks for itself thats why they backed it up by repeating the next year after they beat unlv to prove it wasnt a point shaving game you fool, there is a reason why coack k has more wins in the ncaa tournament than any coach in history.
If UNLV had the recruits Duke did it would be a whole different story. Put Coach K on a team that doesn't get 3 5star recruits every year. He couldn'g take UNLV anywhere if he coached them.
Duke winning it in 1992 has no relevance whatsoever on whether or not UNLV shaved points in 1991.
Hell, if Christian Laettner get s thrown out of the East Regional Finals like he probably should have, we're talking about Kentucky winning the national title in 1992. And that was easily the best Duke team ever.
BTW, Duke was so terrible before Krzyzewski got there. I mean, all they had done was make the National Title Game in 1978 and were the defending ACC Champs when he got there.
it does have relevance you idiot because it was the same exact players who beat unlv in 91,it was the same team and they repeated and they almost went undefeated losing only 2 games by less than 2 points because hurley was out,and the guy who undercut laettner should have been thrown out you dont undercut someone when they go up because they can flip over and really get hurt.
Nobody undercut Laettner. Brian Davis shoved Deron Feldhaus into Laettner, and Aminu Timberlake was the first one Laettner saw after the play happened. That's why Laettner stepped on him later in the game. I agree with you on undercutting, but Laettner was a punk. Great college player, but a punk.
And no, Duke winning it with a damn good team in 1992 has no relevance on what UNLV did in 1991. Had UNLV smoked Duke in 1991, it would not take away from the great team Duke had in 1992. At all.
he did undercut him i have the game on video he undercut him as he was going to the basket thats why they called a foul on kentucky you idiot, and duke had the same players they had in 91 and 92 you fool thats why it has relevance.
Deron Feldhaus may have undercut him. Aminu Timberlake, who Laettner stepped on, did not. And Feldhaus may have undercut him because because Brian Davis bumped him into it.
And here's why UNLV '91 has no relevance: Duke would have had everybody coming back from a Final Four team in 1992, no matter what happened in 1991. So, even had UNLV beaten the hell out of them, they would have been the heavy favorite to win the 1992 NC. Whether or not UNLV shaved points. How'd you like Villanova, BTW?
nope the guy he stepped on undercut him i have the game on dvd,and the fact unlv lost to duke and then duke repeating as national champions with the same team and players proves it wasnt a fluke you cant say if unlv had blown out duke in 91 because it didngt happen thats why what you say has no relevance and my point does because duke had the same players.
OK, so what you're saying is UNLV beatind Duke 103-73 in 1990 was a fluke (and, for the record, it wasn't). And no, actually, Timberlake had nothing to do with it. Laettner always claimed it, but Timberlake never did anything. Deron Feldhaus was.
But again, UNLV lost to Duke. We know that, whether points were shaved or not. But Duke would have won it the next year, whatever happened. The '92 Duke team is probably one of the best 5 of all-time.
shows how well you dont pay attention i said duke beating unlv in 91 wasnt a fluke you idiot because they backed it up by repeating the next year with the same players, the fact that duke beat unlv in 91 with the same players that repeated in 92 proves the game in 91 wasnt point shaven.
OK, Duke winning in 1992 doesn't prove anything that UNLV did or didn't do in 1991. I have no idea what did or didn't happen, nobody but those players for UNLV know. But what happened the next year proved nothing. Much like Arizona getting absolutely destroyed by Utah in the West Regional Finals in 1998 did not in any way make their national title in 1997 a fluke.
This team was a force to be reckoned with. Easily counted amongst the greatest college teams EVER. Even the teams that could compete with them were afraid of them!

Not even close. 90-91 was much better. They had a year more experience and you had George Ackles UNLEASHED.
What he brought to the table was far more than David Butler.
Maybe the best college team ever.

71tuffgong 10 months ago
Even though it was basically the same team, I think the '91 team was even better. They came into the Final Four undefeated and faced Duke, who also had most of the same players and got beat by 30 just a year before, UNLV thought they could just show up and win, but Duke played the game of their life and defeated the unbeatable team. It's a shame too, because that team beats Duke 99 out of 100 times, but Duke caught them flat. Hats off to them, but that UNLV team was the best of all time.
pappppie 10 months ago
@pappppie Totally agree man. The Rebs were unstoppable. Tark was robbed. A championship. An undefeated season. Two final fours. And then out of a job in less than two years. Where in the history of college basketball has that happened. Total witch hunt by the NCAA and then president of UNLV Bob Maxson and AD dennis frinfrock. If Tark would have stayed, UNLV would have had a good 10 year run at the top..atleast.
wilbert916 6 months ago
HBO is making a documentary about UNLV on March 12...must see TV for any sports fan. ESPN did a great job with the 30 for 30 series but this was one of the most glaring oversights in their documentary series...they should have done one on UNLV because it would have been just as good as "The U"
dpinzow 11 months ago
@dpinzow the UNLV doc should have been 2hours, just like the fab 5. I'm glad that HBO did a doc on the Rebs....but to cover 19 years in 1 hour ? Doesn't do Tark and his legacy justice. Espn did 2 years on the fab 5 for 2 hours. I hope espn does one on the rebs as well.

myez 1 year ago
@myez the 1996 Kentucky team is loaded with talent but the 1990 UNLV team is a better defensive team plus their run-and-gun game is one of the best in the nation.
bonzie1645 9 months ago
They would of definitely been without any doubt the best ever.if shawn kemp would of went to unlv as their center instead of the pro's..They easily are the best in college basketball i have ever seen. There aren't any final four champions even close since 90 like them no matter what people try to say.If they would of represented the usa at the goodwill games that summer as national champions. There would have never had to send the dream team.Just a "CORONER" :)

Tough to say if they were the "GOAT" college team but they were by far my fave and the way they played game is what turned me on to basketball as a youngster.
MRLJL76 1 year ago
The next year. They went undefeated for the entire year UNTIL the championship game. Everyone said they couldn't be defeated. I remember watching the faces of Larry, Stacy and all of them when Duke beat them. It was priceless. They couldn't believe they lost. One of the most memorial events in NCAA men's basketball history.
coulari 1 year ago
@coulari they can beat duke everytime... the team was really distracted from the start of the season and duke capitalized on their lack of focus to beat them in that final four game.
bonzie1645 9 months ago
@bonzie1645 if you don't have focus in a final four game you are not a good team.so your excuse is bullshit.they got beat by a better team.

@jayfey77 the turning point of the game was when greg anthony fouled oput and larry johnson shying away to hit the last shot.
bonzie1645 7 months ago
@bonzie1645 i dont remember greg anthony fouling out.and if he did it must have been super late in the game.i will look at the game and see.i thought greg anthony took the last shot?the turning point to me was bobby hurley hitting the 3 pointer when unlv went up by 5 late in the game.thats when i knew there was no denying duke.

@idster7 They definately overachieved and got revenge from the year prior, no doubt Duke was up there, but I'm not convinced Florida could hang with either Duke or the Rebels. Laetner and LJ would kill Noah down low

I guess that's why we have the metaphor "flash in the pan."
bzurvalec 1 year ago
@bzurvalec actually UNLV was and NCAA regular from 1977 to 1991...not just two or three years. Final fours in 1977, 1988, 1990 and 1991....and first #1 ranking in the country in 1983....in fact, UNLV is still the 3rd or 4th winingest program of all time and was just in the sweet 16 in 2006-7 season.
This year, UNLV will have a top 25 ranking, and feel they will be easily a top15 team....oh, and UNLV is currently building 20 million practice facility for hoops. Still a decent program...

I'm guessing HBO's documentary will tell the truth...
yenrabjb 1 year ago
@yenrabjb
I don't think Tarkanian was responsible for any 'benefits' his players received. My opinion he looked the other way like most coaches when a school is committing illegal activities.
bertmustin 1 year ago
This squad would've beaten Butler or Duke by 30.
tray04will 1 year ago
And I didn't even have to mention UNLV's best player Larry Johnson. It is possible that Noah and Horford could check LJ, but there is no way they could defend Hunt, Augmon, Johnson, AND Anthony. It just couldn't be done. A motivated 90 UNLV team would demolish any college team in history, but 07 Florida had the horses to make it interesting I confess.
ragzy02 1 year ago
In my opinion, basketball usually comes down to guard play. That's why you will see a small team like Butler do well. 1990 UNLV would beat 07 Florida because Greg Anthony and Anderson Hunt are in my opinion better than Green and Humphrey. Augmon would shut Brewer down. The one advantage Fla. would have is down low with Noah and Horford, but UNLV's guards are much better, therefore they would win.

socalsocal88 1 year ago
I have watched college bball for many, many years and in my opinion, the 1990 UNLV team was the greatest ever. The defense is what set this team apart. Four of the five starters averaged 2 steals per game and that's what set off the greatest fast break in basketball history. It's unfortunate that they couldn't finish off the undefeated season the next year because they took Duke lightly.
ragzy02 1 year ago
@ragzy02 Do you think Butler could have taken the 1990 & 1991 UNLV teams the way they took Duke to the wire this year? I would not bet my savings on it. Those UNLV teams would have put this Butler team away long before the final miss thus sparing Butler any heartache.

I've never seen a team play together and play the right way the 07 gators played. I had no doubt after Noah's SEC tournament speech in 07 that they were ready and they steamrolled the country just like in 06, what a team
kobeeatsjordansmeaty 1 year ago
you guys are right, UNLV was the best team.

Lysander96 1 year ago
objective must be a duke fan.
Zdizzlz 2 years ago
@Zdizzlz As much as I hate Roy Williams, I have to admit the 2009 Tar Heels would have beaten this 1990 rebels team by double digits just like when they won all 6 tourney games by at least 15 points. Ty Lawson and Duke Ellington could handle the ameba defense. UNLV did not have anyone to handle Hansborugh up front. He would have scored at least 40 points. Tark has a lot more class than crybaby Roy. I would cheer for Rebels if the 2 teams played but sadly UNC had better players.
eaglesyz 1 year ago
@eaglesyz since the game will never be played we'll never know, but I do think you underestimate that UNLV team's ability to D & just how would UNC match up defensively? People remember the lopsided high scoring games, but UNLV were capable of being VERY physical on the block & in the post as well as quick and long on the perimeter. LJ played bigger than his height a la Charles Barkley/Corliss Williamson and Stacey Augmon showed a lot of similarity to Scotty Pippen's NBA defensive prowess.
maxedwell 1 year ago
I will agree LJ is a cut above the forwards that North Carolina had. He was not only big and physical but agile and great moves inside a la Kevin McHale. If the game were played I think you and I could agree that Roy Williams would be crying to the refs the whole game. We both could agree that the refs would be against the rebels. Tark knew everyone outside Vegas was against the Rebels and he handles it in such a way that it did not affect the play of his team. That shows a great coach.

jayfey77 2 years ago
If UNLV had the recruits Duke did it would be a whole different story. Put Coach K on a team that doesn't get 3 5star recruits every year. He couldn'g take UNLV anywhere if he coached them.
SaMiAm702 2 years ago
duke didnt always get great recruits duke was so bad when coach k was hired he built them up into a powerhouse.
jayfey77 2 years ago
Duke winning it in 1992 has no relevance whatsoever on whether or not UNLV shaved points in 1991.
Hell, if Christian Laettner get s thrown out of the East Regional Finals like he probably should have, we're talking about Kentucky winning the national title in 1992. And that was easily the best Duke team ever.
BTW, Duke was so terrible before Krzyzewski got there. I mean, all they had done was make the National Title Game in 1978 and were the defending ACC Champs when he got there.
tsgilmer 2 years ago
it does have relevance you idiot because it was the same exact players who beat unlv in 91,it was the same team and they repeated and they almost went undefeated losing only 2 games by less than 2 points because hurley was out,and the guy who undercut laettner should have been thrown out you dont undercut someone when they go up because they can flip over and really get hurt.
jayfey77 2 years ago
Nobody undercut Laettner. Brian Davis shoved Deron Feldhaus into Laettner, and Aminu Timberlake was the first one Laettner saw after the play happened. That's why Laettner stepped on him later in the game. I agree with you on undercutting, but Laettner was a punk. Great college player, but a punk.
And no, Duke winning it with a damn good team in 1992 has no relevance on what UNLV did in 1991. Had UNLV smoked Duke in 1991, it would not take away from the great team Duke had in 1992. At all.
tsgilmer 2 years ago
he did undercut him i have the game on video he undercut him as he was going to the basket thats why they called a foul on kentucky you idiot, and duke had the same players they had in 91 and 92 you fool thats why it has relevance.
jayfey77 2 years ago
Deron Feldhaus may have undercut him. Aminu Timberlake, who Laettner stepped on, did not. And Feldhaus may have undercut him because because Brian Davis bumped him into it.
And here's why UNLV '91 has no relevance: Duke would have had everybody coming back from a Final Four team in 1992, no matter what happened in 1991. So, even had UNLV beaten the hell out of them, they would have been the heavy favorite to win the 1992 NC. Whether or not UNLV shaved points. How'd you like Villanova, BTW?
tsgilmer 2 years ago
nope the guy he stepped on undercut him i have the game on dvd,and the fact unlv lost to duke and then duke repeating as national champions with the same team and players proves it wasnt a fluke you cant say if unlv had blown out duke in 91 because it didngt happen thats why what you say has no relevance and my point does because duke had the same players.
jayfey77 2 years ago
