  • y didnt they keep the black back soo cool

  • @memememe405

    Get windows 7

  • Hey guys,

I've read on a forum that this website: ten11 (dot) info

gives away a free Apple Imac

    Is this website legit?

  • hey, i have a windows vista home premium. I have been offered to transfer over to this iMac for only $150.00. Should I switch over?

  • Does anyone know that even BILL GATES is a ac tryin to act like a pc!

  • people dude im getting mine in 4 Hours

  • Right, I'm settled. This Christmas, I'm switching from PC to iMac.

  • The iMac before this allready had firewire 800, idiot!

  • im so jealous when i dee someone with an imac, but not for long im geting this in a couple of weaks ohh yea.

  • only reason its editors choice is b/c its apple. these reviews are very biased.

  • It can play windows games with bootcamp, which installs windows onto your mac, so u can switch from mac to pc whenever

  • if only this computer can play games from windows =(....

  • Macs suck & Cnet sucks

  • @win95sux why do mac's suck?

  • @wadeschnoor they freakin dont suck man, these are the best computers in the world

  • >Not alot you can do to make it better once you buy it

    >Not alot you can do to make it better

    >Not alot you can do

    >Not alot

  • I'm really interested with this one but I wonder if iMac is upgradeable like any other desktops? cuz my friend told me mac's hardware anatomy is different with other pc and thus is not (or not easy) to upgrade..

  • @idzny

U can upgrade RAM on the iMac through an opening in the bottom but everything else requires you to take the whole thing apart. The difficult bit would be to find parts that fit since there is very little space inside an iMac. It's just like any other all-in-one PC on the market. They are not meant to be upgraded.

U won't need to throw away a 27" iMac however once it's obsolete. U can use it as an external monitor for some other machine.

  • thank you so much @Molo9000!! I better buy one with a good config then.. thanks :)

  • Had the 09/10 21.5 in basic model for a few months now.... it is excellent. So glad can get migrate from the noisy clunky windows desktop unit... this thing is lovely!

  • I'm thinking about buying a MAC. Do you get good performance for your price? Someone send me a message or comment and lemme know please

  • depends what you go for , i would recommend the iMac with a i5 processor, as the i7 is very costly, and you cant do much to upgrade a mac, so a core2 is a bit weak.

  • buy an imac. way cheaper

  • is a mac mini a good computer?

  • not really, it is not very powerful, and does not have as many capabilities as other mac computers. Also, the mac mini does not come with a keyboard, mouse, and monitor included. Also, it's hard drive is not as big as the other mac computers. And in the end, after you buy a monitor, mouse, and keyboard, the mac mini will end up costing over $2000. Much more than an iMac. So, I recommend getting an iMac. :)

  • I disagree with you slightly, Toshiro, because whenever someone asks if a computer is "good" I always ask "it depends, what do you want to use it for?" The Mac mini is a good enough computer & it's the cheapest Mac out there. I'm a PC guy who wants to learn iPhone programming; I bought a mini on sale for around $550, added third-party RAM ($40), got a mouse & keyboard ($30), and a 23" LCD monitor off Craigslist ($150), for a total of just under $800. As a start, the Mac mini is a good choice.

  • i mean its not a powerhouse like other mac's. but its a good computer. Its cheap, but because you bring your own keyboard, mouse, and monitor. it is a good computer i like it. i would not buy it but that is because i like the notebook and i like lots of power for the work i do. (macbook pro)

  • @quest8899

the Mac Mini is only really worth it if you need the small form factor or already have a good screen and mouse. (u have to buy an apple keyboard though)

the iMac is $500 more but has better hardware inside, comes with keyboard&mouse and an excellent screen.

If you need the form factor (e.g. as a home theatre PC or home server), then it's an excellent machine.

It's very powerful for it's size and extremely quiet

  • @quest8899 Its a good starter mac, powerful enough for the average computer, but don't expect to run a ton of 3d games.

  • don't they mean the 21.5-inch iMac

  • no dont u c the black back.the new 1 has a silver 1

  • What's better an iMac or an hp pavilion elite with an i7 processor, 9gb of ram, and built in blu Ray for 1299 at best buy?

  • its the OS that counts and not the hardware power! WINDOWS still uses the stupid DLL files and all the bugs that comes with it!

MAC OS doesnt! and THATS COOL! its a UNIX based system that its proven that it is stable and FAST as sh...t!!! :P

  • @quest8899

when it comes to the iMac the hp wins but there is something called the mac pro.......... it is a monster of a computer ........in my opinion the Mac Pro is the best computer is the best computer on the market to date

  • pavilion is more practic...i am buying one next month

  • id rather go with an hp touchsmart over an imac.

  • @quest8899

    Nah , they suck.

The only thing what makes people buy something like that, is because it has touchscreen, but even that sucks, I would wait 6-8 months before buying a windows-based touchscreen machine, because they have to improve alot there.

  • I have a HP pavilion dv6000 its a laptop.

I've been using it for a little over a year and its starting to fail it was great with games fast and no lag will the imac be a better upgrade

  • Yes.

  • @Bamybamboo

My advise, if you want to focus on games: buy a custom built gaming PC with XP!

In case u're going to focus on other stuff (video editing, producing, audio etc.) get an iMac!

  • what the fuck is that a spaceship ?

  • This is nice. I'm a PC user, and this is actually pretty cool. I might be thinking of buying one of these for business and school work one day(:

  • yea i think they are PERFECT for that. But truthfully everyone knows its a scam i kinda rather get a really nice pc... All Customized

  • So... the description says this is the G5 iMac while the video says it's a G4. Ummmmmm... that's kinda the G6. Just saying.

  • Well, that story that you can't upgrade them is not completely true. Yes, it's a fastidious process but the hard-drive can be changed to 1TB,1.5TB, etc. Even more than what the new iMacs from 4thQ/09 come with.

  • i have a macbook white and i can trade it for one of these. should i?

  • yup trade it

  • I have this computer

  • Look Lockerz video!!! /watch?v=bbr31-axX7U

  • thankyou. much appreciated. =]

  • if anyone wants to no how to get a free one i can send you a video

  • well peeps on the virus front you get the same benifit with linux as well but on graphics i would say that depeneds my brothers macbook pro with a nvidia geforce 8600 is solid on games it doesnt give me much lag and gives me good visuals even tho its about 3 years old lol and it still runs like a new one i been playing wow with it and second life both run alot better then my hp dv3 which has 4 gigs of ram and a ati radeon hd 3200 card with 1328 mb for performace windows sucks but has a lock

  • on games tho i wish they would make games come standard with a mac and linux version tho all is not lost on that front there is wine that is more desinged for linux but it has a mac version also mac has darwin sides the gameing front where windows has a major foothold i neither miss nor want windows lol

  • their way way better than a pc. their very very fast and no virus' or anything that would slow it down no matter how many windows or applications you have open. plus its got alot of usb imports and the computer is built into the monitor. u have a built in webcam, and tons of applications. such as snow report, upcoming movie trailers, track your flight, dictionary, garage band and much more. oh and forget about copy and paste, just slide the image over to where you want it

  • why is there no virus on the apple computers?

  • Simple.......Apple is the underdog compared to Windows driven PC's. Hackers and such like picking on the big evil corporate goliath.

Macs HAVE been hacked and if they can be hacked well.......

  • ok...im a MAC AND a Pc fan...hear me out everyone...they should at least have an intel core i5 or i7 in the imac

(they probably will soon) and a core 2 quad in the Macbook Pro for now until the mobile i5 and i7 are released...note then im getting a macbook pro :)

  • they do now man

  • ya...but to be honest with u they should at least have an i7 920 and a ATI Radeon 5850...then im happy

  • yes but i hate it

  • dows it have speakers?

  • i hate imac i got one and i hate it

  • i know right gay porn all the way!!!!

  • hahahahahahaha

  • why are they bad im thinking of getting one

  • i got one

    its fine

i find it betterr than a pc

  • ups and downs?

  • i'm so glad i own this

  • i got mine yesterday.

  • Check my profile(cant post vid links in comments anymore?).

You can get this for free and I'll tell you how.

Watch my video in my profile for details.

    FTW!

  • I just bought the 24" model. Nice computer. For those that are looking for a computer with very few wires everywhere, it fits the bill. I will however keep using my PC for videos because of all the files I have on it.

  • i have a imac os x, a emachine, and a toshibi laptop. real shit my mac is like 1000x faster than both of them..

  • just my opinion but i prefer pc and iam not a big fan of macs

  • i dont get these are these just the computers or are they just the monitor and you have to buy an extra hard drive?

  • Nope, everything is in the monitor part. Much more convenient than a big PC!

  • Not great for gamers though, which is why I can't convert.

  • yeah true, most games either don't work with Mac OS or just glitch up with the differences in software in the Mac.

If you want a computer that's better at internet surfing and media like music players, video/photo editing, then a Mac is the was to go.

If you're a gamer or need more office type apps, then get a PC!

  • And that's why macs have boot camp for Windows Applications such as games....

  • so i can actually change the settings to run on windows.

  • its a all in one computer

  • This is the whole computer.

  • I hope there's a new iMac in September...I'll be getting it the second its available

  • why would you want to buy a new monitor when there the best monitors around? lol

  • Hey, any1 who has it, tell me cause I'm thinking about getting one! thanks!

  • it takes 8 gigs of ram... not 4. it comes with 4 g when you buy it and is upgradable to 8.

  • this was the old one, before it was upgraded in March...

  • Ahh.. I should have paid more attention. The firewire 400 port should have given it away.

  • and your mum sucks too. Ow , yeah , and she sucks cock too

  • omg dude, goin ape shit

  • because u dont have one lmao

  • i thought it was touch :(// :@

  • yeah because of the huge and glossy screen :X

  • Wow the 20inch is quite big, probably i wouldn't even buy the 24inch.. I mean, the distance between my eyes and the screen is probably a meter. A 24 seems like a little TV hehe..

They look amazing. Got a MacBook 13.3 already and I'm very happy about that. It's really worth it. The iMac is probably the same, just more comfortable.. MAC Rules!

  • lol i got the 24 inch its not that bad

  • ah okee.. hehe... i've got a MacBook right now (13,3'')

but anyways.. have fun with your Mac

  • im thinking seriously in buying an imac for next week, bcuz i will need a computer for college, can somebody tell me does it worth it? bcuz its pretty expensive, and for example what happens if i have to do a work and i use the apple, but apple doesnt have microsoft word, (which is the main progra to do those works) and then i have to finish it bcuz of the time in another computer, in conclusion, to transfer my work to a normal pc, if u understand it plx reply

  • It's worth it, I have one, works great. :D

  • Comment removed

  • i just got mine today and it is just amazing, its so worth it!

  • Yes!

i got mine last month and let me tell you its fun easy to use and looks amazing.

For work you can download iwork 09 you could find a serial to get it free or buy it for $170

it does have something called "text edit" it is the equivalent to notepad.and you can save all your work in whatever extension so you just email it to your self and download it on a regular pc.

    very simple.

  • MS Office is available for imac

  • Anyone think that the 24 is way to big? It's like I'm 12 inches from a wide screen tv.

  • i got that computer..its not only for the rich! im not rich! i just got it dec. 9 it doesnt suck it is freakin awesome!

  • the mac is only 4 rich ppl so idk how it is if it sux or its great

  • you're fucking stupid

  • Comment removed

  • pc is a personal computer...are you saying a mac cant be personal?

  • No, sorry, ignore my comment.

  • I hate those people who says that mac sucks when it is just that they could not afford it

  • A $1,200 computer with no internal space for more than one hard drive? Yep, the only descent Mac is a Mac Pro.

  • I never said there weren't other things to do with a computer...the runescape thing was just funny to me.. that being said Apple computer are overpriced in my opinion no matter what you use them for..just an opinion.

  • he said 4th gen imac but the description says 5th gen

  • there about the same just some internal changes

  • you know whats good about macs?

its that its a pc and a mac. you can install windows and mac on the same mac system which is ofcourse really good so really your getting double for what you paid!

(to install windows you need bootcamp)

  • I have this exact same one. I got it for free =P as a birthday gift

  • this is the older one with tiger. I bought one last week in the apple store with leopard it rocks supports up to 8 gb ram

  • is the imac keyboard is not easy to break?

  • Not quite the greatest computer to play serious games though. I can hardly run Halo 2 on mine.

  • i think macs are useless

  • You'll never regret buying a Mac. I used to play RuneSCape all the time and I have a mac, and it worked perfect. Gaming is great, people just say it sucks to try to make PC users happy, but it's great, and the Mac in this video is actually an older version, so it's bigger and better now!

  • LOL...you played Runescape and it was able to handle it?? WOW ..and I bet Pac-Man and Frogger ran perfect too!!..nothin against Apple but for bang for the buck it's overpriced for gaming period!

  • its a computer and a moniter fused together /

  • OMG, you shouldnt Ask that question! xD, Jk, yes it can run CS, Runescape and COD

  • He says, that it's not a good gaming. But can it read Call of Duty games or stuff like that. What does he mean with "not beeing a good gaming". please help

  • Well, you can always install a second partition with windows. Then you can easly play games with it

  • he means its performence and speed isn't to good with games

  • hey everyone, I am thinking of getting an imac, (i never had one before) so i am thinking about the 20" one because it fits more in my budget, but is 2 giga hertz enough for doing small video and picture editing, and is it good enough for doing other everyday things such as watching movies or playing internet games?

please help and tell me if i mac 20" is good enough for all these things.

    thanks in advance

    Danny

  • i would just go for the 24" model, i think at like 2.5 gh/z

that will give you more hard drive space and a better screen real-estate. Internet games and picture editing would be alright on the 20", but the 24 inches is so much kooler

  • 2.66 Ghz dual core is fine for picture and video editing. In fact, the iMac was made for that kind of work.

  • i got the 2.66ghZ 24" and it was $1499

  • Wish he would quit calling it a "PC"

  • LOL, right?

  • even if i hate macs i still think this is the best mac ever!

  • can u play games on it(cd rom and stuff)

  • Yes.

  • like pc games?

  • Install boot camp

runs windows just like a regular pc.

As long as you have a decent graphics card

    Most games will run.

  • would a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M do OK?

  • Yeah

    That's pretty good

    Install boot camp &

    Have fun Gaming =]

  • YEs

  • just got today..im so proud to be a mac. it's awesome!

  • can u put a new graphics card in this

  • yes you can but it will cost about 800 dollars......

  • thats why pcs are far better.

  • the imac is an all in one computer it would be just about the same to upgrade an all in one pc. also is your next os going to cost $29? i didnt think so.

  • Mine comes in the mail tomorrow, horray iMac!!!!

  • but is Imac better than G5?

  • My iMacs and MacBook Pro have been my favorite Mac (and even PC's) ever.

  • the guy is reading off cards

u can see the reflection in the screen lol

  • Someday, apple is going to join the console war, and if it starts with the letter i, im gonna kill something

  • so let me get this straight iMac is the name of apple Desktop's and Macbook is the name of apple Laptop's right?

  • for games I'd go for mac pro

  • Agreed. I love my Imac, and it was well-worth the money.

  • YUP! Even now that it is $1500 for the 24"

  • haha yea me too. i looove my iMac but the new update where they reduced the price of the 24 inch dramaticall PISSED ME OFF!!!! haha

  • I like the 24 '' better :)

  • im typing on one of these imacs just now :D

  • ive been using windows since i was small but when i got a mac book i was amazzed

  • Yes, you can upgrade, but Apple doesn't want you to know so you pay them a fortune to do it.

  • Adding RAM is not much of an upgrade.

  • i've been a pc user since i was 11, i switched to Mac for the first time 4 months ago n never look back. Now m using a Macbook, its the best, now m saving up for an iMac, hopefully i'll hav enuf when Snow Leopard comes out

  • What's Snow Leopard?

  • Snow Leopard is the new Apple's operating system n will be the successor of OSX Leopard, schedule to come out later this year may be Q3,

  • Actually, it's just a background update :)

  • yes i no, though changes are subtle, it's still gonna be pretty good when have it pre-installed on any Macs, cheers
