Just a quick question: how do I know my package identifier (ie the package line in the control file)? It would be org.altervista.conmor.SpoofMai­l.deb, except my debs are stored in a different folder called debs, and I don't think that it would be possible to make my package org.altervista.conmor/debs/Spo­ofMail.deb (debs is the folder in which I store my deb files.) my deb package is not stored on the root directory so I would need to point it to the folder with the deb files, but how do I do th

@hulkboy75 Fixed my own issue. Just reupped to myrepo and reinstalled.

@hulkboy75 what i did was went on wincp and went to /private/var/lib/apt/lists and clicked on partial and deleted all of the files and then deleted my own source on the page before the one you just deleted all the files on and then reinstalled my source on my idevice again.

@Kal94329 you need to login to your iPhone using WinSCP and SSH. (Jailbreak your iPhone, download OpenSSH from Cydia and use WinSCP to access the iPhone's directories)

@frazzell16 Don't login to your local machine, windows doesn't have the "dpkg" command. You need to WinSCP into your iPhone - connect your iPhone/Computer to the same desktop, find the IP for your iPhone and connect it using WinSCP.

I tried this and it didn't work. My theme didn't appear in Winterboard, and when I looked through the folders in iFile, the theme wasn't anywhere to be found, because there is no Themes folder in Library. Themes is in var/stash, and it has a crazy extension.

@Lukabazzoka The deb file is for cydia, without it, the screen thats there when you tap on a package woukdn't be there how it is and people would have to manually type the package ID and Package version/Author EVERY time they upload a package.

That would be way too much work for sources like BigBoss with Thousands of packages.

It also installs well and creates that cool terminal like install screen

I did my repo and it works well! The only problem is that i tried to download it..and i had the "size mismatch" error. I googled it and i know it's about the size of the unpackaged and the packaged one.They have different size.. ex: unpackage: 507 and the packaged one: 411. How do i changed that ? I tried to remove all and redo it...same result. Please reply me back.

2. then press control panel of the right of the menu

3. then press Alt

4. Then go to tools on the new menu that pops up at the top

5. Then go to the "Tools" tab and click "Folder Options..."

6. In the new window click the "view" tab

7. Then scroll down a bit until you see "Hide extensions for known file types"

8. Uncheck that box and click "Apply" and the "OK"

9. exit out of everything then done!

I am just wondering, what is the point of making a .deb file for a theme when a theme is only text, pictures and folders. Can't you just zip it? And since you didn't make any commands for the deb file to do what was the point? I wanna learn .deb programming so I'm interested??

@Mrwong113 just remove the extension (the .txt or .doc) at the end of the filename. You may need to enable the ability to do this by going into Control Panel > Folder Options > (Tab) View > Uncheck "Hide extensions for know files".

@myrepospace its okay, a few days later after that comment, i found out where they should go and tested it, and it seemed to work, they apparently go in /Library/MobileSubstrate/Dynam­icLibraries then you package it just like in this video.

So for anyone else reading the comments, now you know ;)

Try opening the control file using WinSCP's text editor (double click to open). Make sure there are no extra formatting. It must only have text with a new line at the end of the document.
