  • The echo on this version is terrible. Album version is much better.

  • This is art.

  • @GurdaurD

The song, yes; the video, no.

  • Why does it look like Taylor Swift has an Adam's apple at the side of my screen?

  • This song is about abortion.

  • I sang this song in english class for a presentation. People thought it was beautiful.

  • even if there was no lyrics this song could break my heart.

  • And then make me dance.

  • the piano blows my speakers up everytime..

  • @CANADA5UCKS those piano drops are so sick bro. It's like WAH WAH BZZZZ WAH WAH

  • @WlNDMlLL i love you. lololol

  • its a baby...

  • all of the songs these guys write are messed up...

  • @GameBattlesProof69 knowing some of peter's history explains most of it; his girlfriend from childhood had cancer and he literally did everything he could to nurse her back to health and hep her beat it and in the process they got engaged, she recovered and then cheated on him and left him. look at the lyrics from "two," it makes a lot of sense under this light.

  • I guess I should say, for those of you asking, the men standing back while she carries the cart up the hill just represents the fact that the burden is always hers to bare (perhaps a play on words?), no matter what any one else does or says. Hence, the sad, lost expressions on the men in the last shot, because they know this, and the only possible act of decency was to help her once along the way, so she could continue. So sad!

  • at least help her get it up the hill, guys.

  • Thumbs up if Just Mad's Halo Reach montage brought you here.

  • this was used in a halo reach montage its really good

  • @TheFalloutShot96 yaa it was sik eh? great song... and just mad ftw

  • So am I not the only one confused as to what the big black blob is?

  • @bigbenjiman its a symbol for the baby she is tempted to abort

  • this is my favorite track by them. i dont understand why it only has only 27k views. amazing song, video, and band

  • this is definitely a winter song.

  • They Inspire Me Soooo Much To Sing.....

  • So knowing she couldn't carry it by herself,

The guys put the black ball back on the wagon,

and force the woman to do it all over again,

as they just watch her, not helping.

    AWESOME!!

  • Sorry, I like this song, but the video was terrible. It's mostly a boring slow-motion romp through the woods with a crappy metaphor at the end.

  • @lufia22

It'd be nice if they had made videos that actually corresponded to the story.

  • This song is so sad. I've outright sobbed playing this before, mostly because of what's gone on in my life, though, and not just the song.

  • I do not understand the message that this video is trying to send... Can someone please explain it to me?

  • @Cao21745 it's about abortion from what i read. There's a bear inside your stomach

The cub's been kicking from within

He's loud, though without vocal chords

We'll put an end to him

  • @stickems94 That does make sense, but I don't get the video. I don't see how the video relates to the lyrics...

  • Lyk dis if u crie errytime.

  • i was drunk off my ass laying on the floor in my room my girlfriend was holding me and we were listening to this song ..... il always remember

  • i'm half expecting slenderman to jump out

  • @leaxues lmao, I was thinking the same damn thing

  • i saw them in concert they weere good @ the getty museum

  • Fucking righteous song and righteous babe

  • @catsaretheshit your emotional response to this video confounds my interpretive capacities utterly.

  • @catsaretheshit I mean: do you have anything else to offer? to help me understand that is.

  • I've been listening to this song for the last 2 or 3 days now... and I have become obsessed with it, and a new found fan of The Antlers. The song is totally memorable and beautifully composed. I love it to death.

...Also, does anyone know that woman's name? She's so pretty.

  • the video in my opinion is saying, sometimes shit happens, but take what help you can, gather what you have & move on and try to succed

  • i am infatuated with that woman... shes seriously so beautiful

  • 4 month old response, woo! :D

  • The album is based on the story of a relationship between a hospice worker and terminally-ill patient.

She cant have the kid, so she gets an abortion.

    Ta da.

  • hospice makes me cry

  • to me it's a metaphor for what couples go through with unplanned pregnancies and the decisions they have to make, but in the end it's all put on the woman. men can only support and try to pick up the pieces.

  • The ink ball is also a heavy burden the girl has to carry around, like a baby for a young mother

  • hospice is a masterpiece

  • They deserve more than 18k views...

  • WAY too few views on this video

  • Comment removed

  • i will never quit raping the replay button for this song

  • how does an ink ball related to a bastard child?

  • @theycallmedukey The ink ball is fragile and has to be well-cared for. So is the unborn fetus growing inside the young girl.

  • @theycallmedukey I think I represents the music they wright.

  • I literally had a dream about this song before I ever even knew about the Antlers, this song was so good to listen to for the first time.

  • I understand the story behind this song but I dont understand the connection of the song to this video. Can someone explain?

  • It's rare to see a group this poetic these days, I'm only 17, but a lot of groups lately have been very shallow in their lyrics. This song is worthy of more than 1 listen. I feel like i understand it more each time I listen

  • @DrDungus damn straight

  • why is this song so amazing, though it's very sad but true<3(,:

    i love the antlers!

  • yes it is....

  • hard to think this is the happiest song on this ablum

  • whats the fucking point of this video? The lady needs help then the guys come after she falls, then let her go back up the hill to fall again? Also, what is that black sphere supposed to represent? The world?

  • @igethardtothis she has to carry her burden i guess...

  • @igethardtothis Ignorant.. I feel bad for you. And im pretty sure nobody gets hard to this song. Juuust sayin.

  • @igethardtothis listen to the lyrics, the video is a metaphor for the story of the song. it's heartbreaking and really quite beautiful

  • @igethardtothis the song, I think is about his wife wanting to get an abortion and the sphere represents the burden they think the baby would have on them, and when she drops the sphere *breaks down from everything put on her shoulders from having the baby* the guys represent him and his friends, and how that they will be there to show her shes not alone and pick her back up when she falls down, and basically showing how they will be there for her through it all.

  • I'd like to note that there are no dislikes.

  • FUCK VEVO HOLY FUCKING SHIT

  • @HarvestHollow lulz as you can tell this is not vevo idiot lol

  • @HarvestHollow

Too bad this isn't Vevo smart one...

  • i feel like i can crawl inside the music.... i like that

  • Such a beautiful video.

    Such a wonderful song

    <3

  • Great song, unfortunately it's the only one I really like by them.

  • that jew girl has disguised herself as a tree, give her the money.

  • Love

    This

    Band

  • Two days in and I'm already an Antlers junkie.

  • Comment removed

  • this song almost makes me cry everytime i hear it. so sad

  • @cdesjarlais4832 Let's hope you don't listen to Epilogue then.

  • @cdesjarlais4832 If there's an Antlers song that doesn't meet this description I haven't heard it.
