"Forth" is interpreted by most as the poorest Verve album so far,... but i think it'll be looked upon in the future in a much more forgiving light. "Urban Hymns" is untouchable.
I was dissapointed at first, but after further listening it grew on me. All the songs on that album seem to start up slow, so patience is key. Rather be, I see houses, numbness and Vallium skies are my favorite tracks
They always gave excellent value with b-sides! BSS cd-1 had So Sister and Echo Bass, BSS cd-2 had Lord I Guess I'll Never Know and Country Song and Sonnet had Stamped, So Sister and Echo Bass! And they're all bloody great too!
Its a great tune !!! av also done a cover of it check it out !!! just hope ive done it justice after reading the comment below - very touching. sorry to hear about your loss.
I have the massive honour of being able to say that this song is written for my sister who died in 1996. Richards step-father (Doug) was my brothers college tutor and mentor and when he wrote to him and told him of what happened, Richard gave us this and I will always love him for that.
Awesome song it was a b side song on a brit single cd I bought back in 2000 and became my favorite song of the 90's got me alot of chicks when i wrote the lyrics to them =)
Was this at the Showbox?

Richard sings a bit of a different melody in the chorus comparing to the studio recording of this song. Sounds fantastic both ways though.
I'm so excited for the new album! :)
