i was thinking of switching my 07 stock stereo for this stereo too... only thing is that i called the dealer and they said that you can't switch them and looking at your video and others obviously you can... how much did they charge you to unlock the stereo because i don't want to buy a new fancy stereo too much attention to my subs :) thanks in advance....
@eselilchoco13 A lot of dealers know jack about the products they sell and what you can do with them. What they charge to unlock the stereo is dependent on how smart they are with the Tech-II computers they use. My dealer initially wasn't sure they'd be able to do it, but I told them to go ahead and try anyway. Obviously, it worked, much to their own surprise, but whatever. Can't remember the price exactly, but if you run into dealers that say it will not work, so elsewhere.
@ilirb You need to have a headunit with the USB port o be able to do this, they only came on 09s and 10s. I swapped out my 07 unit with an 09, had to get the dealer to unlock it.
@someguy74656 how much did the dealer charge to unlock it. i was thinking about getting a stock corvette head unit for another car but didnt know how much the unlock was

@sicktight31106 A Corvette deck very likely won't work in another vehicle, as they're programmed specifically for the vette.
