@DDevospartan haven't played RE5 yet, but i hear its more action horror, heard very good things about silent hill, gonna have to buy some of the older games, i really missed out on survival horror, and horror in general.

This game was underrated. It has good acting, gorgeous graphics, and a soundtrack that will stay in your head for months on end. The only problem, just like Far Cry 2, you'll be confused on what to do next, and gameplay gets repetitive. Also, it is the same ammount of scare you'll get out of Silend Hill.
@TR0PHYHUNT3R65 Not sure if it is the same amount of scare than Silent Hill but the game is definitely good, I mean it has some of the things that critics love about Uncharted, and once you get the hang of it the only problem comes from the awful collision detector. but it was a great experience...I now got the two endings but...in the don't kill scenario...does it end just walking away there is nothing else?

yh mate buy it, ive finished it ages back on the ps3 and i personally think its by far the best horror title released regardless of what others say. Im playin silent hill 5 at the moment and its not as fun as this one, the soundtrack on this really adds to the gaming experience. buy it, its cheap anyway now!
I dont know why so many people flamed on this game. I thought it was an amazing fun game and I was really attached to it for a long time. The fire engine in the game was completely unique and I had a blast with it. I played it on 360. I liked it so much I got 1000 points on it haha

This game has alot of spaces for improvemnts that could of made this game a real hit! So 7/10 !! I enoyed it but the PS3 can handle more!!!!

i downloaded the demo yesterday its ok for the 1st 15minutes but when u reach the combat the game is a pain in the arse and so is the driving omg the driving,and this version is supposed to better than the 360 version i would have hated to have played that one ,in the end resident evil 5 is commin out in less than 4 months might as well wait for that
Well you have to burn enough roots to actually weaken the shield at a certain point, then you have to throw a molotov or a self made bomb at the tree.
you can rotate the camera 360°, you can react quicker, the inventory system is smarter, the driving is alittle smoother, Sarah actually helps you better when ur driving and there's like a new chapter in it.
The game is shit for yiu mate,but for me it is worth 40 pounds,and i have the collectors edition for PC.But when i play for 15 mins (with the newest drivers)the screen turns red and i have to restart the PC.HELP!!!

Yea, AitD had so much potential, but imagine having that kind of immersion, with the car that you can pierce the gas tank and light it up and combinate papertissues to make molotovs or bombs and stuff like that, in a zombiegame.
What did you expect? That the driving was like in GTA? With magic car handlings and super fast driving: Look to me,look to me!!!! i can drive 11545 mph! GTA is fun but the driving would have totally been ruined if AitD would have the same driving as GTA
The driving in Alone in the dark is realistic.Come on in 59th street you are trying to reach central park,everything is collapsing,etc did you really thought that if you were in that kind of situation that you just could've drived like a maniac?
Well if you compare GTA IV with AitD, then GTA IV's driving is more realistic. The driving in AitD is weird in my opinion, One time I tried driving over a small hill, then my car hits that small hill and just flips. Oh and also one other thing, when I jump over an edge with my car, it doesn't dive like a realistic car supposed instead it floats and it actually tries to adjust itself in mid-air.

I guess most negative commentators either haven't played the game or are just being neglectful towards its ambitious nature and innovation. At least it tried to be different than most things you see in games. And these statements of "what's crap is crap" or "you put lipstick on pig and its still a pig" don't even apply in this situation. These are great improvements they are making, let's wait and see how it plays out in the end.
The delay to PS3 is said to be a good thing, becouse they have ironed out alot of the fault from the XBOX360 and piss poor wii copys.And added an extra chapter to the PS3 version........so it will be the best version on the shelfs, but it could still suck. The game has one hell of a hill to climb to prove its good anothe for PS3 owners to buy.....
they only improved the small faults with the first release, you don't play as a new character, you don't play new missions, just things have been removed/fixed/enhanced.
If they improve this game could be one of the biggest games, because it was original and the character .. unique

You do have a point, Yes the car should be able to floor it, but it goes at a snails pace. The turning was weird aswell.
However I still stand by the point that it didn't need a driving mission.

u kno i have the wii and ps3... when i got this 4 the wii... it kidnda sucked 4 reall... if this was some co-op or multiplayer thing it would be a better rating game just sayin lol

The PS3 demo is actually very good. I don't know, what's so bad about it. I can't wait to buy it and see the whole game.

alot of 360 owners have to wonder if they we're mere beta subjects since PS3 version was already announced to release a few months after 360 & PC version and what they got was a game with crappy controls and gameplay while PS3 version is getting a different gameplay and controls and an exclusive level , you've got to wonder if there's a conspiracy going on

i wouldnt lol untill i know they fixed all the problems it was horrable on xbox i just downloaded the demo for ps3 huge improvement so if u got a ps3 get it for that its alot better

I guess most negative commentators either haven't played the game or are just being neglectful towards its ambitious nature and innovation. At least it tried to be different than most things you see in games. And these statements of "what's crap is crap" or "you put lipstick on pig and its still a pig" don't even apply in this situation. These are great improvements they are making, let's wait and see how it plays out in the end.

The delay to PS3 is said to be a good thing, becouse they have ironed out alot of the fault from the XBOX360 and piss poor wii copys.And added an extra chapter to the PS3 version........so it will be the best version on the shelfs, but it could still suck. The game has one hell of a hill to climb to prove its good anothe for PS3 owners to buy.....

they only improved the small faults with the first release, you don't play as a new character, you don't play new missions, just things have been removed/fixed/enhanced.
