Now, I wish I could've seen the entire clip of this. Do you mean Ernie got all the way to "F" before it was finished? 5 seconds more than even the other version? I only recall Ernie getting to "D" in the unedited english version. Did the director just go ahead and let Ernie say the whole entire alphabet after Bert left.? That's adlibing, and I think the muppets did alot of that. I'd love to have heard how spontanious the rest of Ernie's ABC's would've been..
