@escafallen I had the same surgery 3 months ago and believe me,it's not painful, not an inch of pain and it took me less than 30 mins in the operating room, before the surgery,i can't even twist the doorknob,it's painful as hell but 2 weeks after the surgery,it all came back no normal..
I may have to have this surgery done in a couple of weeks. I just had a cortisone shot today and I hope that works. If not, what type of recovery should I expect and is it a painful surgery? What were your symptoms before/after?
@taxman806 Recovery is very fast, once the wounds on the stitches is done, you can freely move your hand whatever you want, symptoms are,you can't twist your hand left and right,up and down coz it's so painful, after the operation, everythings back to normal and it won't occur EVER again, that's what the doctor said..
@K3vindust I never needed the surgery after all. After 2 cortisone injections and some physical therapy, all symptoms disappeared! Thanks for the info tough!
@K3vindust My job covered all costs since it was a work-related injury. Did it hurt? WOW!!! The pain was INTENSE!!! But it was short and they also inject a type of medication to numb the tendon at the same time. It's intimidating but not unbearable. Good luck to you if you ever need this type of treatment.
@taxman806 Wow sounds scary,i have a problem with my ulnar nerve on my elbows, they are swelling,my doctor don't recommend cortizone but i might try it since i don't want to get another surgery no more, thanks for the info brother..
