  • that's Jack Kittel, not Kittle!

  • Beautiful song!!!!!!!!

  • It's spelled P S Y C H O.

  • That is cool, the pictures are that all these people are psyco, but I love the song

  • @Howlinblind what a story!

  • that is my brother singing that song. I dont quite get the pictures you put with this.

  • Been looking for this song for years. I recorded it off a Dr. Demento Halloween special back in the mid 80s.

  • I bought the 45rpm in '76 but my wife at that time threw it away after hearing it. I've been looking for it ever since. Aha, I found it at last. Thank you

  • "Momma, why don't you get up ?"

Listen to the Elvis Costello version - awesome !

The Beasts of Bourbon version - scarey !!

A classic song - thanks for sharing with the WORLD !

  • I will look for Eddie Noack's version

  • "you think im psycho dont ya momma" Gotta Love it,lol..nicely done :)

  • my dad plays drums on the jack kittle version...muskegon michigan represent

  • That is cool as hell... dose he know anything more about Jack Kittle?

  • Sadly, Jack Kittel was killed in an auto crash not too long after recording this IIRCC. I bought this 45 when it came out on GRC , but have always preferred Eddie Noack's version on K-Ark.

The steel guitaron Noack's versiion gives a very eerie lease to the song.

  • Jack died in 1996 in New Era Michigan

  • Thanks for setting me straight on the date of your cousin's untimely passing and am sorry for your loss. I was friends with Jeff & Marva Wilson who were from Muskegon and lived here for a while before moving back to Shelby, MI. They said they knew Jack when they lived there previously. I first heard this song on WBCN out of Boston and ordered it from a local record store in Lowell, Mass.

  • @ToadOnDrums THIS VERSION always seemed the more twisted version to me very haunting

music score ,finally found a mint 45 of this at a goodwill a few years back radio promo copy

I have Many different versions of this song and Teddy Thompson does a pretty good version also, The owner of GRC Records was a pretty infamous Guy Mr. Micheal Thevis Cicely Tyson & leslie Uggams also recorded for this Lable as did Sammy Johns who had a hit with Chevy Van

  • Foxhead says: Brilliant!

  • This song is magnificent in its awfulness...

  • I love this song
