I was in this bar a couple of weeks ago and I could not believe the misogynistic lyrics that lesbians dance to. Seriously, is that just me. The girl on the bar and in the cage were the best part, and the dance floor was very friendly. Not regular to bars, but I liked it because it was full of lesbians, weird that I feel I have to say that. The label thing is annoying. Lesbians only fit into one category, FEMALE, and other than that the variety is not something to harness.

I don't think sharing a gay bar with straight people is going to make it any less safe. Most likely you won't even no the person next to you is straight. The only gay bar in my area is for all and orientations always has been.
@valluv1 I don't think it will make it unsafe, but I do think it impacts on the possibilities of gay women meeting each other (in a romantic way) as they are not going to know if the girl they like in the bar is gay. Whilst straight girls only have to worry if the guy is interested, gay girls have to think: A: Are they gay? and B) Are they interested? There aren't many places to meet other lesbians so I think inviting straight girls into a lesbian bar decreases the possibilities.

This isn't what I was expecting when I heard Bar hooping I imagined them going to the bars when the crowds are there. which would make more since because a bar is just a room with out the people in it. I think the concept of the show is interesting. I'm not sure about the title, because it implies all three women are straight, but it's been stated that Crystal is bisexual? And I would've liked to see them tour more around the bar instead of just discussing it. Either way, the premise might interestingly bring the straight and gay community together, as you can see their openness to hanging just out. ;)

I didn't find it offensive; I'm not crazy about it because there is not enough visual information about the bar; I think it would have been more interesting to have a tour and Crystal and friends help with it and not just sit and talk about it. Do I hate it? No. Are Crystal, Liz and Hillary charming? Yes. The labels though are fine. Most of us are lesbians and we use them too (I try not to). I don't know how many times I've been called a "lipstick lesbian". So tweak it and it will be well done
I wasn't insulted in the least because these terms are refered to regularly by our own community . Changing these sterotypes has to change from within. As far as i am concerned its a good thing to try to bring gays/straights together, communication is good. And at least she's not afraid to open dialog.

Like I said in another comment here: I love CC and I think she's a great ally/member of the community/whatever. I just think she gets off the hook way to easily when the stuff she produces is crap. I'm not sure that encouraging straight women to go to a lesbian bar is a good idea because it kind of defeats one of the purposes of having a lesbian bar. A lesbian bar should be a place where lesbians can meet other lesbians more easily than in an ordinary bar. If a lesbian is attracted to another woman in an ordinary bar, it is hard for her to know not only if the other woman is attracted to her but also if she is gay. At least in a gay bar you know that the women in there are gay.
Well the pole dancing alone was certainly worth watching. I'd like to see them check out the bars at night when they're really open and see what the atmosphere is like then. Check out the crowd and the music, etc. That's the type of thing that would let me know whether I want to try the bar myself (as a straight girl). Although, it they did that, it might make it difficult to show it on YT.

I think its great that Crystal is doing this show and love that Crystal is so generous to her fans in so many ways. The only problem with this episode is that there may be some straight people who take everything one bartender says as gospel. I think Crystal came across as more unknowing of what lesbians are like than what she actually is. She has met a lot of lesbians at fan events and through fan letters and so is aware that there are more than three types of lesbian!

I'm not a fan of reality television! There are too many reality shows on television. So I have zero interest in a web-based reality show. I want Vteam to give the fans a new Venice promo before the new season begins. Give us a new Venice promo that will have the fans chomping at the bit to see a new season. Wonderful!!! These Ladies were Super Open and Fun. I couldn't keep the smile off my face. I felt I was there with them... very comfortable. BTW, I don't think there is anything wrong with speaking about the different "types" of lesbians, if you will. As a lesbian, I run into that kind of question ALL the time from lesbians,by the way. I don't think sharing a gay bar with straight people is going to make it any less safe. Most likely you won't even no the person next to you is straight. The only gay bar in my area is for all and orientations always has been.

@valluv1 I don't think it will make it unsafe, but I do think it impacts on the possibilities of gay women meeting each other (in a romantic way) as they are not going to know if the girl they like in the bar is gay. Whilst straight girls only have to worry if the guy is interested, gay girls have to think: A: Are they gay? and B) Are they interested? There aren't many places to meet other lesbians so I think inviting straight girls into a lesbian bar decreases the possibilities.

This isn't what I was expecting when I heard Bar hooping I imagined them going to the bars when the crowds are there. which would make more since because a bar is just a room with out the people in it. I think the concept of the show is interesting. I'm not sure about the title, because it implies all three women are straight, but it's been stated that Crystal is bisexual? And I would've liked to see them tour more around the bar instead of just discussing it. Either way, the premise might interestingly bring the straight and gay community together, as you can see their openness to hanging just out. ;)

I didn't find it offensive; I'm not crazy about it because there is not enough visual information about the bar; I think it would have been more interesting to have a tour and Crystal and friends help with it and not just sit and talk about it. Do I hate it? No. Are Crystal, Liz and Hillary charming? Yes. The labels though are fine. Most of us are lesbians and we use them too (I try not to). I don't know how many times I've been called a "lipstick lesbian". So tweak it and it will be well done

I'm not sure that encouraging straight women to go to a lesbian bar is a good idea because it kind of defeats one of the purposes of having a lesbian bar. A lesbian bar should be a place where lesbians can meet other lesbians more easily than in an ordinary bar. If a lesbian is attracted to another woman in an ordinary bar, it is hard for her to know not only if the other woman is attracted to her but also if she is gay. At least in a gay bar you know that the women in there are gay.

Well the pole dancing alone was certainly worth watching. I'd like to see them check out the bars at night when they're really open and see what the atmosphere is like then. Check out the crowd and the music, etc. That's the type of thing that would let me know whether I want to try the bar myself (as a straight girl). Although, it they did that, it might make it difficult to show it on YT.

I think its great that Crystal is doing this show and love that Crystal is so generous to her fans in so many ways. The only problem with this episode is that there may be some straight people who take everything one bartender says as gospel. I think Crystal came across as more unknowing of what lesbians are like than what she actually is. She has met a lot of lesbians at fan events and through fan letters and so is aware that there are more than three types of lesbian!

Would have been hard to film while open because not everyone is out or wants to be on film. And its a good way to see the cast of venice just out doing something random.
