Okay the little girl confuses me, I've seen this episode before but its so confusing.

1. Is the little girl's name Minnie or Ayami.

2. Who is the little girl's mother? The girl bringing her the snack, or the other one?

3. Is the little girl possesed? Because when she introduces the doll, and then the vision of her face goes black and blue, she says "Ayami doesn't want it." ---Which is what lead me to question number 1.

2. The girl's mother is dead. the short-haired woman is her step mother.

3. The little girl isn't posessed; the doll/house is. Japanese children often speak in 3rd person "rather than "I don't want it" "Gwenne doesn't want it". Because there are gender differences in the "I"--you use different forms depending on what gender you are.

I have to admit, that scene at the end with the doll on the bed was exceedingly creepy. I'm an adult and I subscribe to the horror channel, so I'm not easily spooked, but that was one of the creepiest things that I've seen in a long long time.

It just goes to show how good Japanese film makers are. They can do better with a simple scene like that than a Hollywood company can do with a million bucks worth of special effects.
