I made my nose surgery and i can tell u that not everybody is going to feel the same pain, i couldn't sleep for 2 nights and i feel like time goes by so slowly, and i cried because of he pain, I had to take more and stronger painkillers and inyection vials so far. In 2 days the'll take the stuffing out of my nose. I'm waiting for that because i just can't stand this things in my nose.I just hope that all this pain worhwhile.
He did a great job! I've seen so many bad rhinoplasties, especially on ethnic noses but your nose looks fabulous. IF I ever get anything done, I'm gone get yo docta gurl ;)

@KatiKosta yes, I was pretty nervous about sleeping for a while because I didn't want to roll on my nose. The painkillers really did help. The pain wasn't as bad as I thought; it was more than it was uncomfortable.
Taking the stuffing out isn't painful, but it's a weird sensation. The doctor does it for you.
Washing my face I was careful about--you can't do it like you usually would. Brushing my teeth wasn't a big deal.

Update: This Aprll will be three years since my nose job. Over time, my nose changed a bit from what you all saw in the video, but nothing drastic. It's very natural and fits in very well with my face.
Is my nose perfect? No. I can see how it's not perfectly symmetrical. But I'm really happy with the changes and don't at all feel the need to have more surgery! My confidence was really boosted by my nose job. I'm more confident and love taking pictures of myself now!

If this video has taken 1 mth after surgery, I think your nose is still gonna get smaller :) cos I heard that usually the swelling takes about a year to go down completely
The nose looks thinner and the bump is gone, u look better. But I hope in the future u experiment with non-invasive procedures to look good instead, cos some pple get hooked on plastic surgery and then they look really fake

The doctor did a great job. I am inspired to get mine down. My nose is so wide at the top and fleshing and wide at the bottom, no shape at all. You look great. The side view is great as well as the front view which is more like a shapely ladies nose. The scale is great and accents your face so the nose is not the focus. I am constantly shading my super wide nose with darker foundation. What a Pain. Great job on a women of color's nose.

my nose it pretty normal at the bridge but what bothers me is the bottom. its too big for the top part. when i was younge my brothers would make fun of me sayin i got a mario nose from the games. i dont think its that big and i sorta grew into it but i think i would be way more confident if it was a lil smaller. what do you think?

Rhinoplasty is something I would consider doing sometime in the future, but I've always had issues with my nose in terms of allergies and such. It's really sensitive? Oh yeah! Lots of bruising and lots of swelling. That will last for weeks. After the surgery you'll get pain killers and honestly, it won't exactly be painful, however, it is an extremely uncomfortable feeling. Don't worry too much about the recovery though. It's just a few weeks of your life and is really worth it!
It's all a matter of finding a good doc you're comfortable with. I hear that 1 in 5 people end up getting a 2nd surgery. Yeah, those stats are a little scary, but I think it's worth it to give it a try if you're really unhappy with your nose.

No, it's really not that painful, but I do recommend taking the painkillers for about a week. It is very uncomfortable though. I didn't sleep all that great the first week.

I was still wearing my cast a week out! Don't worry. There's so much swelling that goes along with these surgeries. Wait until a month or so for the true results.

No, the surgery didn't take that long. I think it was around 3 or 4. I didn't see any before and after photos either. To tell you the truth, I didn't think to request them. But I would recommend pushing for it.

That looks awesome. I just had a revision rhinoplasty last Friday, Dec 19. I still have the splint on, but I think the doctor's taking it off on the 4th since he's out on vacation.
Question: Were you able to fit an ice pack on your eye to reduce swelling without bumping the splint? I can't seem to get it on there too well.

girls with big noses are UGLY. that's the first thing i notice on a girl's face. second thing? jawline. it cannot look like tori spelling!
now your before and after photos show awesome work. your final result is BEAUTIFUL. it looks more feminine as the nose from the front shows more definition rather than a thick splat-like nose. the tip was fixed very well also. THIS is what a good rhinoplasty looks like. something normal and nice!

to put in simple words, the surgeon cuts open the nose, removes the excess tissues in the nose tip and sew it back

You look better with the procedure done. Nice change and more feminine. Good for you. I had mine done last year and I encountered the same "problems". But the results are worth the pain and nuisance.

Yeah you got a really good nose job babe. I just had a revisionary surgery and am pretty happy with my nose now.

No, it's really not that painful, but I do recommend taking the painkillers for about a week. It is very uncomfortable though. I didn't sleep all that great the first week.
My surgery was done by Dr Pribaz at Brigham & Women hospital.

Hey thats so cool! You look fantastic! I had a very similar procedure done to yours, I had my bump removed and the tip pushed up! And I love mine..the best thing Iv done in my life lol!

thanks for sharing your experience--I just had my nose done, plus a chin implant, and I have been freaking out because I am so swollen, and my mouth won't move right yet. Also, the only diaries I have seen are of people who look 100 percent after....I am one week out, and look about how you did at one week, so I am hopeful about how the second week will go now...thanks again...

I was still wearing my cast a week out! Don't worry. There's so much swelling that goes along with these surgeries. Wait until a month or so for the true results.

It looks so good. :D Your before nose reminds me of how mine looks from the front, and I hate it. I always feel like I've got a big triangle block sitting in between my eyes... especially in pictures. I can't wait until I've got enough money to have this done. :) You're very pretty!

I have a couple of questions for you, Did you say the surgery took six hours to do? Also, when I called your doctor's office, I was told they have NO before and after photos of patients - How did you know he would do such a fantastic job without seeing any of his previous work?

No, the surgery didn't take that long. I think it was around 3 or 4. I didn't see any before and after photos either. To tell you the truth, I didn't think to request them. But I would recommend pushing for it.

That looks awesome. I just had a revision rhinoplasty last Friday, Dec 19. I still have the splint on, but I think the doctor's taking it off on the 4th since he's out on vacation.
Question: Were you able to fit an ice pack on your eye to reduce swelling without bumping the splint? I can't seem to get it on there too well.

Both before and after are beautiful, hon! I love your nose pre-surgery so much, but your post-surgery nose is cute as well. What matters is if you're happier with it, and apparently you are, so therefore I can't be anything else but thrilled for you!

girls with big noses are UGLY. that's the first thing i notice on a girl's face. second thing? jawline. it cannot look like tori spelling!
now your before and after photos show awesome work. your final result is BEAUTIFUL. it looks more feminine as the nose from the front shows more definition rather than a thick splat-like nose. the tip was fixed very well also. THIS is what a good rhinoplasty looks like. something normal and nice!
