Unforgiven 2002 is a classic example; RVD was mad over and the time was perfect for a title switch, even if it was only for a few months. But no, the HHH show continued and RVD was sent back to the midcard and a feud with Ric Flair (i wouldn't exactly class Flair as a main eventer in late '02).
