Pure Cap is a very misleading name, its nowhere near pure capsaicin crystals heat, the crystals themselves rate 16,000,000 on the scoville scale. But are ONLY hot if diluted in alcohol. Which then lowers it down, so if you wanted to try pure capsaicin, the hottest you could go would be 50/50 of crystal to alcohol content, which would be 8 million SHU. -- Just a Chili-Heads info.

I like to put one or two drops of PureCap in Ramen in soup. Many people get this stuff to cook with if quick to just add a few drops versus throwing in a bunch of red peppers. bottles of this kind aways says it's not a hot "sauce" it's more of a cooking ingredient.
