Melo is a scoring machine. Very talented in the offensive side of the ball. But slacks in defense and so far has proven to not be a winner. Hopefully he could become a great all around player & a winner.

From current players who played at least 2 seasons, only 2 other players can say that; LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Carmelo has a career average of 24.8 ppg. Only current players with higher career averages are LeBron, Kobe, and Wade. That's pretty exclusive company.
Carmelo is shooting pretty bad this season, but it is going to get better. He has a higher career FG% than Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, and Tracy McGrady. 3 of the best scorers of the last 10 years. He has had 3 seasons with higher FG% than Kobe's highest FG% ever in a single season.
You said Carmelo is not top 5 scorer. You never said anything about this season specifically. Don't change up now. Besides, you can't judge a player solely on just 22 games in an unorthodox season when he and his teammates are clearly still adjusting to each other. Also, I can pretty much guarantee you that by the end up the season both Carmelo's FG% and ppg will go up.

Knicks problem was when they traded for Carmelo. If Carmelo wanted NY so badly, he would have came over in the off season. Knicks were playing good as they were, Amar'e was in the MVP discussion. Carmelo is shooting pretty bad this season, but it is going to get better. He has a higher career FG% than Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, and Tracy McGrady. 3 of the best scorers of the last 10 years. He has had 3 seasons with higher FG% than Kobe's highest FG% ever in a single season.

You said Carmelo is not top 5 scorer. You never said anything about this season specifically. Don't change up now. Besides, you can't judge a player solely on just 22 games in an unorthodox season when he and his teammates are clearly still adjusting to each other. Also, I can pretty much guarantee you that by the end up the season both Carmelo's FG% and ppg will go up.

Knicks problems are so easy to solve, trade Melo for Deron Williams. The Knicks need PG play and so does Amare, he has always had a pretty good PG; Marbury, Nash, and Felton. Who does he have now? No one. Trade Melo for Williams, move Shumpert to SG, Fields to SF and the Knicks improve and Dantoni keeps his job a little longer

Knicks problem was when they traded for Carmelo. If Carmelo wanted NY so badly, he would have came over in the off season. Knicks were playing good as they were, Amar'e was in the MVP discussion. I love Carmelo, but you don't trade great chemistry and half the team for 1 player. Also, I've been saying this since the trade, Danilo Gallinari is a stud. He's going to be great and NY will miss him.

@monQsurlaKomod Melo hasn't been getting it done either, his shooting has been terrible. Amare is suffering because he needs a PG to thrive. If the Knicks were smart they'd trade Melo for Deron Williams and then the Knicks would have a true PG who can play the pick and roll and help Amare's game, Shumpert moves to SG, Fields plays SF and so on. They make the move for Deron Williams and they will instantly get better.

@monQsurlaKomod Actually Chandler has been the best player on the team in terms of meeting expectations. He's been a really nice addition and one of the reasons for the Knicks improved defense. I like Roy Hibbert but I don't think he would work in NY as long as they play in Dantoni's system.

Carmelo is not a winner and has no clue how to play basketball. His talents are a hair above average, but the NBA has fans believing Anthony is among NBA greats. He's not—not even close.
