  • Thank you so much for this video. I love our red cousins and I am on everybodys site that is fighting for them , for the origin people of Sumatra, and Borneo and for the nature its selve!

  • Can the Australian/Indonesian/Malaysian governments nut out a deal that effectively puts a stop policy on rainforest clearing & unsustainable farming practices, by making suitable Australian land available for joint venture palm oil plantations? eg transforming some cane farms accross the top end, maybe a 'land credit for rainforest/ habitat scheme'?Come on ministers for the environment...after all, it IS International Year of Bio-diversity or are we all going to watch orangutans perish?

  • mexicans? for one - I'm not aware of any orangutans living wild in mexico... and secondly I haven't met any mexicans logging in Indonesia... what a strange comment...

  • @nicklyon lol

  • Its them mexicans doing illegal logging which is destroying there homes! I dont understand why would you take away a animal's habitat just to make a few dollors?.......

  • savannahgymnast@

yeh how would you like to be an orangutan and ose your home i do not understand.they are just like us and are our family what is wrong with these stupid people. the orangutans are so cute what did they do to you that you have done to them. i love orangutans whats wrong with them are they a problem?

  • this realy moved me. its sad to think that there could be an end to urangutans in the wild so soon. Ive have never met or seen a urangutan other than on the tv but one of my ambitions in life is to one day look after abandoned or abused urangutans and help make sure they have a brighter future.

  • Hi everyone. Thanks for your comments. I have noticed several people encouraging viewers to help support these campaigns. Come and find out more about what we do by Googling Films4Conservation - or enter films4(dot)org - we really need help in continuing our mission to save South East Asia's precious rainforests. Learn more about our work in the What Do We Do section. Thanks :)

  • there was a documentry on them the other day. they are such human animals and why people arnt helping them more than they should is crazy.

i hope people learn from this.

    :)

  • people killing my favourite animal is just unexplainable.. i hate themm.. we must try and help save these beautiful creatures as much as possible..its so devastating to know that more and more die every year.. what a powerful video i hope this helps people realise what bad people are out there!!!

  • I am trying to do everything i can, i am 12 years old, loving animals foreva, big or small theyre all very important!! I know on my youtube account it says im 22 but im really not. I get $10 allowance per month and im trying to donate as much money as i can to help animals in need!!!!!

  • A powerful film that sends an important message through the images of reality, keep up the good work, we can only hope change will be implemented before it is too late.

  • They are great creatures.

But their time has come, perhaps, to make an exit.

We too will make an exit someday.

    All other creatures will too.

Most people cannot face this fact of existence.

  • Take action!!!! Tears, hand ringing, hoping, wishing, etc., won't cut it. The orangutans need your help RIGHT NOW!!!

Try in some way to raise money and donate. Go to Google and type in Orangutan and you will find several good organizations to donate to. Thanks.

  • This is what we want to see. People can no longer turn a blind eye to what is happening. The destruction of one of the most important carbon sinks on the planet for the sake of palm oil is a horrendous crime. When the West curbs its appetite for biofuels (which many mistakenly believe to be the answer to climate change), then this is a step towards preserving what is left of this magnificent species of Great Ape.

  • Nick, I just found this amazing video and I wil make people aware of it t my website.

I recognize some orang utans from Nyaru Menteng. Seeing this must make everyone sad and making people to act ! Keep up the wonderful work you and Eve are doing !
