i don't understand why they measure dynos from handhold to handhold...you could have a 7'6" reach and get that by putting your feet 6 inches under you hands and having a 6" vertical jump...they should measure from where your hands are when you leave the wall entirely to where they grab.
Perhaps, but that might be too difficult to measure... Maybe from the closest foothold to the end hold. We just wanted to be consistent with the World Record Dyno video.
the route was basically the crappiest slopers/crimers that could be found put on the 30 degree angle wall. a couple of the moves were dynamic. its a V6.
You can't tell in the video, but the wall is at a ~30 degree angle. Also, he climbs the route all the time, so he makes it look easy. In any case, it is above V4+ (I can climb V4+, and can't even get close to doing that route).

I climb V4s and V4+ at a push, it looks harder but not that much harder.

This says a lot less about the gym and a lot more about the attitude at the gym.

Those crimps at 2:02 would be more impressive if they weren't on a less-than-vertical wall.

i love the bit where he focuses close on a massive foot chip with an edge on slab, as though it's supposed to be impressive pulling off it.

looks like im not the first to say that there is now way that's a V6. Those are huge holds...

I'm thinking that route was overrated
