  • Kallumkadavul.I recall when loading in KGV dock in Kidderpore back in the 1950s when a worker was crushed by falling bales of jute, the Bengali boss looked down at this poor sod and turned to me saying,It doesn't matter it's only a coolie! So,no change there then!

  • IN INDIA WE DO ALL THESE THINGS WITHOUT ROPES OR ANY SUPPORT ............BECAUSE WE HAVE LOT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND WE DON'T CARE LOOSING COUPLE OF THEM

  • man knows his work

  • He is good but a good trimmer would have side cut it and made it hinge to the other side of the tree.... KS- WTS boys!

  • @theonlyCWB I don't think so. This guy knows what he is doing and understands gravity. He was able to drop the branch inside to miss the powerline. That's why somebody said 'beautiful'.

  • @arktiro come on mate...its basic stuff really???

  • @bodders1029 I'm not so easily pleased ... cobber matey???

  • Why do you cut through the last branch using many 'under and over' V cuts? (Sorry, I don't know the technical terms). Why don't you just cut straight through in one cut? There's obviously a reason, I'm interested to know why. Thanks.

  • @stillbashingmetal Making the v-cut underneath weakens the branch on the bottom side. Then by making the top cut, the branch will fall away from the arborist. The v-cut helps determine the direction the branch falls. It helps the arborist control the branch as you see here. If you just start cutting on the top, you can't control the direction it falls. When you cut through to a certain point, the little wood remaining will break and tear in an unpredictable way.

  • @stillbashingmetal The cuts are made to form a hinge that folds up in the direction he wants the cut section to fall along. Go to the Stihl website and you can read all about it any one of the chainsaw manuals.

  • why aren't you speed lining this down to the chipper? good climbers always make the ground guys job easier and vice versa

  • I agree with you guys i couldn't ever be doing that stuff that far up lol

  • No way I could run a saw in that tree. I would be hugging the tree and screaming and peeing.

  • I cannot even watch so afraid great guys.

  • indeed, a beautiful prof work...

  • very nice display of a slowwwwww back cut

  • You guys are good at what you do stay safe

  • would love to do this as a job im a rock climber and climb some trees at my local park in my spare time any tips on how to get in to the business

  • ottimo lavoro!!!!!

  • Arborists love trees more than tree huggers so all tree huggers can suck a d

  • It's very dangerous to cut the tree ABOVE you as it may hit you in the head. That's why you climb the tree and cut everything BELOW you for safety reasons.

  • @UberLifeTroll Alright you go do that and tell me how it works out for you..

  • @UberLifeTroll the part he cut ABOVE him was dead, which means very little weight involved. I have been hit in the head by branches like this countless times, no harm no foul. Big live branches are a whole other story

  • nice job missing the power lines

  • I'll see your rain forest, Hippy and raise you the Taiga.

  • this is cool

  • That guy is brave, that's high up there...

  • ive seen better

  • nice to see such a fast and precise worker :)

  • certification is easy and relatively cheap. just know your shit and have money. and your golden

  • When your climbing do you trust a blakes hitch on the free end of your climbing rope to stop you if you fall? Is there anything else you can use thats more fool proof im a new climber and dont want to trust my life a knot ive only tied 2 or 3 times please any input is valuable

  • @12tward What do you mean?

  • When your climbing do you trust a blakes hitch on the free end of your climbing rope to stop you if you fall? Is there anything else you can use thats more fool proof im a new climber and dont want to trust my life a knot ive only tied 2 or 3 times please any input is valuable input

  • @12tward I've used a tautline hitch for twenty years. A few years ago, a young climber talked me into trying a blakes hitch (badgered me into it) and I've never looked back. I find it's security & functionality superior to that of a tautline. It slides easily when you grab it & it doesn't bind up. Just let go of it & you should stop. Start with it at low heights (10-15 ft) to get used to it.

Make sure you tie it properly & put a figure 8 in the tail. You'll be fine. Have fun & work safe

  • I have been tree trimming and doing take downs for six years. I have recently become interested in get my ahrborist certification, any one know how to go about that?

  • @RustySurfer23 study at an arboricultural college/university

  • @HxXFromFirstToLastXx IS there no a way to order the curriculum and just study for the test?

  • @RustySurfer23 To be a certified Arborist... no, I'm afraid not. Not in this country anyway (UK) and I doubt it's the same anywhere else as it's all regulated by the ISA. Just get your essential NPTC qualifications if you don't already and work from there. CS30, 31, 38 & 39 is all you really need to be competent in an Arboricultural workplace (to a certain extent), but without having the knowledge from a Diploma or Degree you wouldn't really be an 'Arborist' because you wouldn't know anything.

  • @HxXFromFirstToLastXx I live in the US so i guess it's a little different. Here if you can pass the test you are certified. It takes alot of studying though i have heard

  • @RustySurfer23 Sounds like you've sort of answered your own question with that one..? So, are you asking for a way to become an Arborist, without doing the study? Haha

  • @HxXFromFirstToLastXx LOL no over the weekend i did a little bit of research. So i assume you have become certified?

  • @RustySurfer23 Oh, I see. I'm a qualified Arborist... so I'm 'certified' to undertake all aspects of tree work, but I haven't undertaken the ISA's test to become an ISA Certified Arborist. Thats something one would do if they were running a business along with becoming an 'Approved Contracted with the AA.

  • @HxXFromFirstToLastXx I see, I am looking to get a business going. We have the clientele but are un able to take on contract jobs or work for a business of any kind limited to residential work for people who don't mind uninsured tree work. I was previously employed by a tree service but was making better money on my own so...Here you have to have one at least certified arborist to become bonded and insured so that is crucial for a legitimate business

  • @RustySurfer23 Go for it mate, I wish you the best of luck in the industry. You can't make money working for a man... you got to be the man people are working for!

  • allaways enjoy your videos ACE good job mates. :)

  • Bit of an easy job when your not concerned about whats below. Now go do it above sheds, fences, A/C units, and pools. Some of us have the art down as a science. Just my opionon.

  • Very good. Does look as if he is rushing a little for the sake of the camera but at least he is competent. How thick is that main line? Looks more than 13mm (unless it's just the camera angle?).

  • Great work

  • he works very fast, & with much confidence... I still prbly woulda rigged that down, so close to a line, but thats still impressive

  • I know evrybody works different....... but you should rope it down dents in the ground or broken limbs in trees around doesn't look professional.

people should learn about ISA and ask them self how many trees is your house made of to understand the rain forests and tree work

  • I know evrybody works different....... but you should rope it down dents in the ground or broken limbs in trees around doesn't look professional.

  • our work isn't done until we get rid of all of the rain forests. it's god's will.

  • Great Job Ace. keep the great video's comming

  • What a cowboy. Taking off branches like that so close to powerlines. Sooner or later that guy is going to die at work out of laziness or stupidity. Darwinism will strike again.

  • @PeterSecys ...c-mon mate. this blokes obviously at the peak of his field. I work in forestry and have first hand seen laziness and stupidity and Ace displays neither. Only knit i'd pick is no chaps. Notice the hinge he cuts at 1:30, lowers saw on teather then gently snaps limb by hand. Droping it skillfully between the cables and bow. [kudos Ace] You call this being a cowboy?

  • @PeterSecys mate thats his job, assuming he has done his limits of approach training he can cut within a meter or 700mm or whatever it is from the high voltage

  • @PeterSecys If you think this guy is a cowboy then you've obviously got no experience of aboriculture. I hope one day that I can be as efficient as this guy.

  • it would suck if he accidentally cut the rope holding him up there

  • @cartererick13 the rope has a cable core so he cant cut that rope

  • @cartererick13 thats why is flip line (the one going around the tree he's on) has a steel core. Plus he's got a main line to the boom, or to another tree. He's taking all the precautions he can and is being very safe, as far as this work goes :)

  • I am starting my aborist apprenticeship next week :)

  • how come every video there is a fight about something stupid. like really everyone needs to grow up. unless you life in a mud house then you used wood, and if you drive a car then your killing the earth. so stop preaching about not cutting trees down. they are put on earth for our use so we might as well use them. i seam to cut down 50 trees on my land a year but the nest year theres another 50 that wernt there before. its not like they wont grow back.

  • This is one bad ass climber!!!!

  • you have to have alot of trust in them ropes and have alot of balls to do that for a job

  • must be nice when you can just bomb shit down

  • his saw is rippin!!!

  • i now the owner

  • you dont ever cut above your head good techniques

  • I just got indentured into the NW Tree Trimming Apprenticeship I start work tomorrow I am gonna be like this guy in 4 years :-) THIS DUDE IS THE MAN!

  • @jesustdizzle If you want to do it for a long time, get really good at detailed healthful pruning. And don't wreck yourself with twenty years of big removals. You can make more money, and be viewed as an artist. Good luck. Be very careful.

  • I so need to work on my scarfing. When ever I go up a tree, and a limb is going straight up, I just fail hard. I ussually just cut it away from me so it wont fall back on me, but then it can spear down and catch my ropes. And I can't just push it away because theres alot of weight in a branch with leaf matter. I'm still a novice, only 16, but yeah, it's so bloody annoying. But yet he did it so easy. I think it's about time to invest in a set of spurs.

  • Bad Ass.

  • omg...that guy dont fear of hights

  • did the tree died?

  • um the trees dead, it's more of a hazard then saving the forest,

  • Nice job down under,, from Canada.

  • I am against for this crap. I hate tree-chopping!!!!! fuck to all tree-choppers

  • @94kricco You are against cutting dead trees down, that are standing next to power lines? Or do you just expect to have power, and stand against things that you don't understand. Do you use power? If a dead tree is standing next to your house, are you against cutting it down, so it doesn't fall on it? you should think a little, so you know exactly what to stand for and against.

  • @owemylife but I am against to cutting down trees in the rainforests, because the trees in the rainforests is one of the most important things on Earth, If you cutting down trees in the rainforests, It will be more harder for you to breath, the trees in the rainforests giving more oxygen than other trees. When I am an adult I am going to a rainforest to ensure that nobody cutting down a single tree. I will travel to the rainforest in China. In Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie.

  • @94kricco Saving the rain forests is a great cause. You are right. Without the rain forests, we loose air, water, and life. But to say "fuck all tree choppers" is not right. Cutting down rain forests for profit is evil. If you want to work to preserve them, you should become an arborist. Check out the International Society of Arboriculture. You will learn the biology and physiology of trees, soil relations, environmental impacts on trees and soil, species identification. This might help you.

  • @owemylife btw, I will move to Zhangjiajie to see the rainforest, discover it. btw "fuck all tree choppers who cutting down trees in the rainforests", that is a right thing to say

  • @94kricco whats your house made out of

  • @JOET704 If which tree type, I have no idea.

  • @94kricco fuckk youu

  • @owemylife This guys got it sorted.

  • @94kricco dude stfu tree hugger theyres a billion trees

  • @JeffHardy5638 well I think that this tree is not so important, but think about how much trees is been cutting in the rainforest each year. Rainforest is the most important thing for life on Earth and of couse on other planets to be life on, If the rainforest havent existed, you havent existed, none of us on Earth have existed, not an animal have it. We need to take care of the rainforest before it is too late to change it, If we cant make it, we need maybe to leave Earth and find a new planet.

  • @JeffHardy5638 wrong attitude, do some research.

  • @owemylife and I am to going to be there a loooong time in Zhangjiajie and Wulingyuan

  • @94kricco your a tree hugging fag, fuck you

  • @keithtrivers excuse me? what you saying? I think you are a f****** tre cutter. I am going one time to Zhangjiajie rainforest in China to take care of it. If someone cutting down a single tree in the rainforest, I will be really mad.

  • @94kricco How old are you? If you are serious about preserving the rain forests, you need to get educated about trees, earth systems, logging practices, environmental influences, water pollution, water shed issues, species that are at risk... You need to be able to go over the heads of the loggers, to the law makers. Compelling them to take action will require that you are educated. If you just go and "be really mad", I'm afraid you wont accomplish much. Loggers wont be afraid of you getting mad

  • @owemylife I am 16, will be 17 this year

  • @94kricco Good luck, rain forests are amazing, and need to be protected.

  • Respond to this video... Good luck. Rain forests are amazing, and need to be protected.

  • @94kricco Well after reading what you commented before I'll naturally assume you have vigorously educated yourself about foresting, getting to the point... If you haven't already moved to Zhangjiajie I must warn you to WATCH WHERE YOU PLACE YOUR FEET AND YOUR HANDS.

That's all I have to tell you, I'm pretty sure you know how important water is when it comes to humid climates so I won't get into that. Good Luck child. ;)

    (Spelling?)

  • @J88Wolf It is not only me who is going to take care of rainforests, many other people is going too, we are figuring out where we are going, but haven't decided yet

  • @94kricco Oh righty then. :)

  • @94kricco this isnt even a rainforest

  • @keithtrivers so because he wants to preserve nature he is a fag ?

& you dont think nature can be beautiful ? Wouldnt you want your kids to see how beautiful nature is ?

oh wait, your too ignorant for any one to consider a relationship with you.

  • @94kricco youre a fucking cock head get fucked

  • @MegaCat312 you should read more carefully, because in this video, these trees are safe to cut down, but the trees in the rainforest, is not safe, it is not a good idea to cut down the trees in the rainforest, or you bring an extinction on Earth, even our own race, and that was i meant about "fuck all tree choppers" then I meant that fuck all tree choppers in the rainforests. I love the rainforest so much, that I will live in it, take care of it,

  • @94kricco When you get to the rainforest, make sure you hire a good guide. It can be dangerous.

I'm a tree trimmer, and I agree that the rainforest should be presereved. I think that some people might be clearing sections of it to make a modest living. If that is so, I would hate to tell them that they don't have a right to survive. I just hope they don't go nuts & cut it all down. If the rainforest goes, we're all screwed.

All the best. Hope you get to see it some day.

  • @shkunk1 It is not only me who is going, we are many people, we are going to form a tribe, to live out in the wild nature :D

and I looking forward to that

  • @94kricco You should pursue that goal with everything you've got. Too many of us go through life and never really do what we truly wanted to do.

Best of luck to you and your tribesmen.

  • @shkunk1 well, this is what I want to do

  • real pro's . :) and i still find it hard to face a 3 meter tall tree in my garden -.-

  • @keyofdoornnarutorscat -The tree died and it was hanging over power lines, that's what it did.

  • after watching this just appreciate out of that biz. Now I just find and bid the jobs and make three times more. Work hard not smart should the tree trimmers motto. The guy is great though,I cant take that away from him, but keep your options open this job will use u up, with not much to show for it.

  • SO WOT EXACTLY DO U GUYS GAIN FROM ALL THE HARD WORK RECORDING ALL THIS FOOTAGE(BESIDES VIEWS)??i see the ads on your clips,do they pay u guys??

im not trying to sound like a fukwit smart cunt, jus curious mate??

  • omg! hate this shit! SAVE THE RAINFOREST!!!!!!

  • @hassansdna agree. SAVE THE RAINFORESTS, like Amazonas.

  • I will never understand why the don't simply hook up some ropes to the tree cut it down at the base and then lower it slowly to the ground where it can be cut up. This would even work in cases where the tree is hanging over houses etc. If you ask me doing it this way just gives the pro's an excuse to spend more time cutting down the tree.

  • @cag66 uhhh, no, you don't do this the right way someone gets killed and then the homeowner and service provider are both sued. all parties are liable. you pay more to have something done the right way.

  • sóh eu sei o quanto isso é perigoso trabalhei 6 anos nesse trampo com meu pai por varias vezes eu vi a morte de perto

hj quem esta no meu lugar é meu irmao mais novo esse cara esta de parabéns.

  • I agree in that it was an easy drop and the final cut should have been tied off. While he got away with it there that method of cutting till weak does no always work. What if the branch decided to go while he was hanging the saw. that branch is all over those wires. Not safe at all. Like the fact that he was still somewhat fast while messing with tie in ropes.

  • Like a boss.

  • a man truly great at his profession

  • Este amigo si sabe lo que esta haciendo, exelente trabajo, yo ago paisajeria, pero este trabajo se me hace muy riesgoso. Good Job,

  • EXELENTE TRABAJO AMIGO...

  • great climbing and cutting..

  • Nice climbing mate love the last drop really great

  • That dumb fuck is cutting without gloves. Good grief. And this fucktard thinks this is a training video? Yes, if you're showing how *not* to do it.

  • No offense to the climber, but this is some pretty basic cuttung and climbing, as i'm sure he'd agree..... I'm still flacid.

  • On the last branch, how come you didn't finish it with the saw but rather only go to snapping point?

  • the guy is not that good. he should be sending the brush to the chipper via a zip line, or, failing that, lower the brush so as to not create a million pieces on the ground to rake up. a little more planning goes a long way.

  • Great to see such confidence at height, a good well trained & experienced worker. Good job.

  • What did the tree do to you :(

  • was that a husky 372??

  • Good Job !!

  • "whoa man thats some mad shit, wait what the... NO! DONT FUCKING WOBBLE IT"

  • Nice cut.. good control

  • This man has nuts.

  • Pretty cool leaving a hinge like that to keep the limb against the tree. You guys sure know what you're doing!

  • i wish i was born with 2 sets of balls

  • Comment removed

  • THIS ACE GUY IS BAD ASS!!!! WHAT I'D GIVE TO WORK BESIDE THIS GUY.......

  • Wow thats some real "technique" alright.

  • wasnt it kinda dumb to stick ur face right by the cut

  • Nice work! I notice that the chainsaw's engine is running even when not in use. Is that typical for a gas-powered chainsaw? I've only used electric ones before. I'm assuming that just because the engine is running doesn't mean that the blade is spinning. Otherwise, there'd be too much danger of the blade catching on the trunk, or worse, an important rope.

  • @stonescorpio Always set your chain brake when the saw is not in use,

Some companys dont like for you to leave your saw runnin,

But when im haning from the tree i hate startin and shuttin off / startin ect,

If a chain is properlly adjusted it wont spin while the engine is at idle, let alone with the chainbrake engauged

  • @badmunkie513 Good to know. Thanks!

  • @stonescorpio Its better to leave it running Just saves starting it all the time On the chain saw there is a chain break witch stops the chain moving around stright away

  • wow you are brave! and really good at what you do! great job!

  • nice job man! I'm a climber to....working for a company in md that trims for the power lines so I know how nerve racking it is when you're worried about dropping a line, blowing a fuse or taking out a service drop. Very nice indeed!!!

  • The last cut was awesome!! Nice, controlled and seamless. Did I notice a power line on the left??

  • I think I have found my future job....

  • @XDLOL211 Think again

  • how is that treeclimbing? u use the tree too climb ur gear!

  • why are you hurting that poor powerless tree?!

  • @ManlyMountain it had power. didnt you see the service line?

  • Legend !!!

  • Sure is nice to be able to pretty much just drop everything, huh :) I don't get the easy ones real often but It's nice when I do , take care.

  • Great work ACE!

  • you guys do great work

    climb safe

  • hey ace got ne jobs going?

  • I want that job, what an office...

  • thought for sure the last one was gonna hit the power lines...

  • i have a question to the "Pro´s"

what are u using to "stand" at the trees? is it a normal rope like for climbing?.......i wonder, if these have enough grip on the bark.....

    but anyway, great job!

  • Nice work. Great video. Climb safe, Peace!

  • You.......Are......PRO

  • im more impressed with the camera man ^^ He's levitating!!! =P

  • Just felled some coppiced leilandi cypresses about 30 feet. Each coppiced trunk had about 5 or six trunks about 10" diameter and all of them were unbalanced with the branches all on the outside, it had grown above phone lines so I had to climb up the skinny bits and lop little bits off --damn!

  • I used a winch to pull it the right way. Been a working man all my life.,but before today, the first and only tree I felled was 40 years ago, when I was in the army--with an axe! it was a pine about 60 feet tall. I hadn't a clue, but I didn't get hurt--more luck than good judgement. Then I had to lop it, -with the axe. I was a very fit young guy, but lopping it really sucked! however, you made it look so easy here, good job!

  • I'd take lessons from you anyday.

  • Good job Dude.
