for khezu battle, the best to use for me is the lance or gunlance... very effective :)

@umigainsborough1 I agree about the Gunlance part. Extremely effective on Khezu, it is probably the best weapon to use on it. I finished Khezu Training in 3:15 using a Gunlance. I sometimes use the HH against Khezu as well.

ti do un consiglio proprio oggi l'ho distrutto tranquillamente...pre prima cosa fatti le katane...fatti quella di squalo gira un po' per trovare i materiali ne vale la pena dopo avero preso la katan squalo manda il felyne in esplorazione a trovare delle cose nel deserto e fatti la katana autunno che ha 220 danno fuoco e il khezu ha debolezza 4 al fuoco...abbi pazienza e lo ammazzi tranquillamente!!! o senno con la katana fai triangolo e poi triangolo cerchio alle gambe e ce la fai

Just to add, I switched from the Bongo drum hunting horn with 800+ power to a great sword with 500+ power but it had FIRE attribute (my most natural weapon is HH) But with the fire attribute I was able to kill it easilly without much of a struggle.

He is weak to fire, use that to your advantage ^^

@R4ul5k8 i killed it with dual swords but it was very hard. i think the best weapon against khezu is great sword or long sword because they are very sharp and stronger than the other weapons

@MelindaColden Best weapon for kezhu is a bowgun with a shield. he's slow as hell, you can avoid his electric armor crap, and you can block his roar. but that's only if you don't mind using any weapon to take out any monster so long as it's effective.

@MelindaColden well yeah, but you're talking 'best weapon'. while that's a completely subjective thing (i cant use a GS for shit, yet), when you look at the pros and cons of all of the weapons, being able to stay away from that greasy pile of electrified shit and still blow a hole in him is invaluable. not to mention, if you can watch out for those damn bugs, you can snipe him from the shelves of areas 1 and 3 and not even get in his way. know what i mean?

@kingrare5 Ummmm....Wolf has low sharpness.Shark is alright.In the game,the Bone path is lower in sharpness but higher in damage than the Iron path.Try getting Iron Katana 'Gospel'.Grace has low sharpness too,but Gospel has high green sharpness.Khezu is easy with longsword because you just need to press Triangle once or twice then do the Backhop slash.In rage be more careful.After killing him try getting Eager Cleaver.Gospel is frustrating to get but well worth the effort.

This shit is pissing me off, I've came close to beating this bastard 3 times already, but somehow the camera always screws me over, since he always heads to area 3, which is the worst area to fight him at, I've got the best armor available at the moment, with null paralyze and lighting resistance, no earplug unfortunately. I was going to try and poke him to death the gunlance, but his shield got in the way, so I switched over to the longsword, which is the safest bet, aside from ranged weapons.

Okay, thanks for showing NEW players how to beat the Khezu with a sword you cant get untill AFTER you kill it. such a wonderful NEWBIE guide. I use one of the best greatswords I can get at this point in the game (thats 2 stars, mind you since I cant get to 3 stars and farm in the new areas) which is the ravenger blade . I swing and swing and swing, use 4 traps So next time you do something with 'Newbies" in mind, consider the fact that we HAVENT beat it yet and dont have the EQUIPMENT you have.

@HAYDS510 You should try using a lance due its so easy then especially if you can use a fire lance like "Red Tail" from stuff on online. Or use "Kutku stave" bow for easy kill

@HAYDS510 Good lance armour for low rank would be hermitaur armour because it has defense and Guard+1 skill. I would use a longsword to kill the hermitaur because LS is very easy against them much easier. Or Kitku armour is also good and easy to obtain it has Attack up small but you can put jewels in it for up medium.
