Once again, always needs a helper because it's not even powered. I prefer the Thomas that runs in Strasburg Railroad. That one's for real. It doesn't need a helper. That's the Thomas, I know.
@Dinosorable the only problem is the Strasburg Thomas is standard gauge, the Tweetsie Railroad is narrow gauge, you can't run a standard gauge locomotive on narrow gauge rails
My son is 2 and we went to our first Day Out w/Thomas this year at Tweetsie. He LOVED it, and it was a great experience for us all. We have been to Tweetsie in the past when Thomas wasn't there, and it is such a great park. We are looking forward to attending again next year. In the meantime, I can no longer turn on my laptop w/o my son coming up to me saying "Thomas, Thomas!' He loves this video. I think we've watched it 15 times. :) Thanks for posting it!
nice video! Thomas rocks! if the kids ask why is their another engine, just tell them just to give Thomas a push if he gets stuck or needs help! Where do those Thomases come from? or where are they built?
Same with my fiancee's 2 yr. old grandson. As soon as he comes to visit it's, "Thomas! Thomas!" :o) Kid's got good taste. I was hooked on Tweetsie as a wee one too. Even got to sit in the fireman's seat for a trip around the mountain.
beautiful video. Well done and I love your steamer. We must VISIT. and OH Yes, the POINT of Thomas is for little kids so would it really matter what is propelling him? Just a thought.

Is this RR on a oval?
nkproad777 10 months ago
@nkproad777 Not exactly an oval, but it is a roughly 3 mile continuous loop.
tweetsiefan 10 months ago
@tweetsiefan Neat, almost like a giant model train layout.
nkproad777 10 months ago
Whoi ever owns this RR should be proud! Look at that mike go, pushing a thomas model, and hauling a good train on steep grades.

Well what do ya know? Thomas has a new friend!

THOMAS IS A DUMMY! My childhood is dead!
1225Forrest 1 year ago
@1225Forrest , it makes the little kids happy, to them, "look its Thomas!" to us, a dummy Thomas being pushed by a real locomotive. Its still Thomas!

Oh, my... Thomas, have you been squashed? Your wheels are out of gauge! Awesome vid, very nice!

When I look at these american Thomas Day videos I always think that hey are double heading because Thomas dosen't have any steam, is this true?
Good video!
choochooguy63601 2 years ago 3
This is a static Thomas; it has no power. There are some that are fully operational (i.e. Day Out with Thomas at Strasburg).
tweetsiefan 2 years ago
Thanks! I thought that was it! Kinda ruins the fun though, don't you think?
choochooguy63601 2 years ago 2
nah, it would kinda be hard to have a narrow gauge 0-6-0 pulling 5 cars up a 5% grade haha, but the kids don't know any different.

Thomas has steam but Thomas's steam is cleaner with white smoke
