Yeah i've found that too. There's been times when i've over done it going into corners and you're sure it's going to slide out and it just pops back up again. Which Trance do you have? I could only afford the X5 but it's great.
What do You think of that bike, it's better than for ex. Spec Enduro, or Santa Cruz Heckler?( destination AM/Enduro) Does anyone has the Maestro system in own bike? Works good? What about sensitivity ? Thanks for answers.
Hi. I can't speak for the other bikes but I have a Trance X5 and It's great. It seems to excel at almost everything from road riding to all day mountain epics. The Meastro system feels super efficient. I'd say it's almost an all mountain bike and although it's very capable it's not a downhill bike.
i was checking out a giant dealership here in korea, where test-riding is out of the question. so, i ask questions in forums. i was thinking: is the anthem better? is the trance just for trail/downhill or is it good for smoother riding, paths, roads, etc? my guess is that the trek fuel EX and the giant trance are of the same category, and the trek top fuel line, and the giant anthem line are the same. am i correct? i'd like a general-purpose FS bike. thanks!
its probably just for trails and downhill but it handles jumps pretty good....hehe i probably shouldnt go so hard on it though but hell u only live once i was gonna get the reign but i was a little short plus i was little impatient on waiting for the 09 model to come out.
Thinking of upgrading my Trek 6500 XC hardtail for either a 2009 Trek Fuel EX8 or a Giant Trance X1. Any opinions welcomed. 6 foot 200 pounds 48 years, want FS for the usual reasons. Which bike do you recommend? Thanks. Good vid, btw.
haha...got the money, or willing to part with money otherwise earmarked for food, rent, etc? well, i wonder if the 2009 models are a significant upgrade over 2008. waiting a month if it's worth it would be fine. allow me to save a bit more. thanks for your reply, lunchbox6969. actually, i stuck with the trek. couldn't justify upgrading both for financial reasons, and the fact that i am just not a downhill all-star! i'll stick with the hardtail for a while longer. i was salivating over an ibis mojo at a recent bike show here, however. if i sold my kidneys on ebay, perhaps it might be in the cards.
Maestro is even BETTER than the DW-Link it was designed to emulate. My 22-pound Anthem X2 is a rocket!

Yeah. Different bikes for different uses. The Trance has a slacker head angle too so it's more suited to going fast down hills.

maestro rules, I run a trance. sweet bike, just when I think I know it's limits I'll make a mistake and the bike bails me out. it is a nice design.

ive just bought a trance x2 08 its a really smooth ride, very light and a lot of fun. so i would reconmend the trance x1 if u got the money.
