  • @chrstman No, it only says it in the credits.

    Lol, yes it is.

  • Good song w ith it

  • Is this part of the score to the movie Sunshine?

  • The video is awesome. The way the planets and stars come with the music is just right.. The music makes me sad though :(

  • this is a fantastic video, the song is fantastic too :)

    you made me cry

  • Nice version, One of the best!!

  • I wonder how many times VY Canis Majoris is bigger than the solar system? (From Sun to Pluto)

  • @AAVAN The actual size of VY Canis Majoris is debated actually, but at the present accepted size, if placed in the center of the solar system, it would stretch out to Saturn's Orbit

  • @Macbrother Thanks for the info... I thought the star could be bigger than the orbit of Neptune..

  • @AAVAN Well Saturn is 1.5 billion km from the Sun, that's way, WAY out there you know. :)

  • Wow! That last star was almost as big ad my right ball! Terrific !

  • Mother eff....those stars are very huge and interesting..i bet they have much more greater gravity than the sun that it could suck you in and burn you to death waaaahh

  • we are only stardust.

  • Song?

  • the brightest star known to man is the pistol star......its way to far away for humans to see it but with a superpowerful telascope and some a+ grade technoligy you r able to see that it is very large blindingly bright

  • i'm sorry but where is TAMEN THE PLANET ? It is just like the earth but it is much more bigger than the sun. same size as MU Chepei

  • great my frend!! : D

  • excelent video!

  • I loved the end... one of the best I've seen with the scale from VY to earth...

Next I want it to go from VY to Milkyway to Messier 87 and back to earth and than maybe a human :P

  • I have to announce that I have been working on an upgraded version taking some of the comments into account and hopefully have it rendered soon :-)

  • @uhlord when will u upload the upgraded version coz i really love this video, favourited it and everything :)

  • @uhlord excellent music choice by the way.

I have seen that movie ten times: Sunshine.

Please, keep building the constellations so it's easy for everyone to find them in the sky with their telescopes. That was a brilliant idea you had! :)

  • This kind of videos make me feel a piece of shit =(....

  • cool

  • our sun is so small this is how i describe it to canis majoris.

a atom to a blue whale.

i heard the sun gives off this radiation and stuff and mercury is burnt and stuff but if the sun

was next to canis majoris it would shrivel up

  • @deathcharge811 an atom to a blue whale, dude way off. I think you underestimate just how small the atom is. I would compare it to an atom compared to a human fingernail.

  • Great vid, well done:)

  • سبحان الله

  • @MXMGamer

    IKR AND TRUE

  • 1:56 YOU GOT TO BE SHITING ME!

  • Dam! thats big.

  • I should have never replied to Mocha2007andcoco because of that youtube function that put comments the author reacts to in front of all others and now everybody replies to him and it starts unnecessary flamewars...

  • Comment removed

  • And try to sleep now, knowing how small you are....

  • at 2:05, that pistol star, it says that it is not visible in the light spectrum. so does that mean that it is invisible to the human eye? thats kinda creepy, so then how do scientist know that it is there?

  • @SuperLaw911 correct me please if I'm wrong but I read something like the Pistol Star is from our point of view behind a interstellar dust that is gradually absorbing the visible light emmited by the star and thus making it invisible to human eye but remember human eye's can see only very narrow area in spectrum of light, The pistol star has been detected in infrared spectrum of light by Hubble Space Telescope in in the early 1990s (at least Wikipedia says so)

  • @uhlord You're right. Interstellar dust blocks it from view, otherwise it would be a star of 4th magnitude.

  • Isn't the bigger the star the colder it is.

  • This made my penis feel so small :/

  • Hey, first: This is great work you have done! Really! Second: Yes, we are so minusculous in this Universe, almost non-existent. It wouldn't even matter if we vanished, no one would ever notice it in this vast space!

  • What I always like to say on these videos about big starts is, that, Vy Canis Majoris is the biggest star KNOW to man. Known. There are bigger ones out there and THAT right there is amazing in itself.

  • Nicely done. The scaling is the main focus here not whether Pluto is a planet (it is classified as a "dwarf planet" by the IAU, the spin on Venus is retrograde but its not the point here, scale is.

The work done to make this excellent video is worth the time to watch.

  • we are big as an dust particle in only the small part of the universe

  • wow

  • Who cares if there are inaccuracies, this blew my mind... your video is a beautiful thing, thank you

  • Be afraid. Be very, very afraid. We're nothing.

  • I'm so sick of Chuck Norris jokes!

  • I really enjoyed the comparison, it really gives us a good visual by showing all the planets and moon, not to mention so many stars :) Thanks I was looking for something like this,,,well done :)

  • only Chuck Norris can 'beat' this star....

  • Easily the best star comparison video ive seen yet, the music fits it perfectly :)

Just curious, but what song is it? Im sure its out of a film or something

  • This stars are in 2D :/

  • @SrLipeSantana Incorrect, Stars in Universe are REAL!

  • Overall good job. I honestly don't mind that you put Pluto in. Nor do I care that you didn't realize Venus is the only planet that spins the opposite way from the others. However what does bug me is your typo on the pistol star. You spelled spectrum wrong!

  • @TheDonHasCome Your incorrect too!, ulhord is correct at the spelling "Pistol star"

  • Shit! almost has big as my balls/dick!

  • we are a single molecule compared to whats our there

  • What program did u use to make that short film?

  • Beautiful

  • c'est énorme

  • @Mocha2007andcoco

    1. I don't claim Pluto is a planet in the video, notice there's also Earth's moon.

    2. The video is meant to display the relative sizes of different objects. I am sure it doesn't display the plantes and stars with their all precise properties. I would be glad if you stopped pointing out what other things doesn't correspond as it was not the goal of the video. You can say Venus is spinning in the wrong way as well as all of the other objects as they all spin the same and so on..

  • @uhlord uhlord, everybody is a critic.and btw ,maybe you could include a black hole of quasar OJ287 in another video. It has the mass of 18 billion suns and the size of a galaxy....

  • @Mocha2007andcoco Pluto is a planet, only that he is a DWARF planet!

  • @Powerbubblesful "he"? Meh...whatever...

  • @Powerbubblesful

    We Have 5 Dwarf Planets, 1.Pluto 2.Makemake 3.Ceres 4.Haumea 5.Eris,

    Pluto Is The Famous One.

  • @Powerbubblesful Correct!

  • @Mocha2007andcoco 1. Pluto is a Dwarf Planet - DP.

  • @Mocha2007andcoco Then, Eris is the 1st Big Dwarf Planet - 1BDP, But, the Pluto is the 2nd Big Dwarf Planet - 2BDF.

  • @Mocha2007andcoco dude so is the moon but its still there. its just a comparison of astronomical bodies

  • @Mocha2007andcoco

    3. your a penis

  • @Mocha2007andcoco pluto is a dwarf planet, you pedantic twat.... and learn some english: 'Venus is spinning WRONGLY'!!! You'd think that, before correcting someone, you'd at least get your English right first! Now you've made yourself look like a complete and utter DICK!!!!!

  • @kizz333 Your response makes no sense.

    1. I never said Pluto WASN'T a dwarf planet.

    2. Wrong is correct. Wrongly is the british version of wrong.

Before correcting someone else, get YOUR facts straight.

  • @Mocha2007andcoco I don't care which version of English you're using.... the proper, british or american, saying "venus is spinning wrong" is wrong! and, for you to have said, "pluto isn't a planet" is just ridiculous! I mean, how pedantic must you be to write something like that?! your american arrogance is showing and it's ugly! just like your fat, arrogant country!

  • @kizz333 Sorry I can't talk like every 18th century englishman you know. And, it's true, pluto isn't a planet, so I'm still not understanding your argument there. Unless that's just filler text, which is comman in british grammar.

  • Hey! Venus is spinning the wrong way!

  • sirius A, is not the brightest star, Pistol Star is the brightest star known

  • @TheNogeman I'm sorry I wasn't accurate enough in the video but I meant Sirius A is the brightest star visible in the night sky.

  • @uhlord cool vid, love the music and that movie!

  • @uhlord Don't let the little brown dwarfs' comments bother you. Good job on the vid! There are millions of trolls with an EGO the size of betelguese and the BRAINS the size of a little "ass"teroid. and the personality of a rope.

  • @TheNogeman Sirius is the Brightest Star but, Pistol Star is the Brightest Star too but, other Stars are not Bright.

  • Comment removed

  • at this rate being considered an atom in the vast expanse of the universe will be a HUGE improvement

  • nice job but you could have put approximately how big they were.

  • my hairy ballz are bigger than this

  • good job on this one

  • all star is super big! when you are on space you will EXPLODE because its too hot!

  • @bubbleclaire67 what are you even talking about!

  • Cool! I love how you also showed us more or less where these stars could be found in the sky!!

  • out of all those planets earth just looks the best :P

  • i feel very small now :(

  • Wooooowwwwwww, Song name ? please

  • @RazielHD It's the soundtrack from the movie "Sunshine". They couldn't have picked a better music than this.

  • stunning

  • nice vid??? keep it up.. :))

  • our sun is a speck of sand on the beach and VY Canis Majoris is all the trillions of gallons of water on earth

  • :) Well done, and good choice of music. Keep on the good work...

  • Yeah such huge stars didnt know about that after the sun.Cannot imagine how big the universe is.

  • Man pluto dosent exist

  • We are nothing but dust in the vast cosmic universe.

  • @maximbee The Milky Way itself is the dust in comparison to the visible universe. So we are absolutly nothing compared to the dust.

  • @uneartheros

Talk about being optimistic ) I agree though )

  • @maximbeet tell that toworld

  • @maximbeet nah dust would be too big

  • incredible! this video makes us think about the grain of life that are lost in this inexplicable universe.

    thanks
