  • Yeah, 1995. It was my daily driver/beater car. We've had a couple of them...had excellent service from them. I think that by 200k miles they're pretty much done and not even the dealer wanted to keep it going. Said it wasn't worthwhile.

  • Nice is that a Buick La Sabre ? My friend had one and it had a problem, he replaced almost every single component in the car and it still doesn't work lol. So he ended up buying another car and leaving that Buick parked on the street about 4 years already.

  • So there is no need for an air compressor for these 2 items you showed?

  • @1llest8

No, no compressor needed. Good water pressure creates more foam. Our water pressure is kinda on the low side.

  • @skypupx thats i appreciate it. do you recommend a place for me to buy this? i live in Los angeles.

  • @1llest8

You would typically purchase the Gilmour Foamaster II on-line. Amazon had a good price on it. I know Autogeek sells it as do other on-line car bizs.

I purchase mine at a horse tack shop. They use this device to shampoo horses...it works very well at that.

  • Yeah, there's really no comparison between these two items and the Gilmour is worth the $40.

I've got (Nelson) quik disconnects on all hoses and accessories.

  • I guess I'd suggest using a shampoo that's known to foam up a lot. I've tried a bunch - - some are certainly better than others.

I think the best I've tried so far was Optimum's car wash shampoo. That one is REALLY nice.

  • @skypupx have you used reg stuff that you can buy from most stores? such as mothers and meguiars? i personally used meguiars gold class. foams up ok, but not sure with the foam gun.

  • @1llest8

Sure, I've tried many different soaps. Everyone's experience will be a little different due to water chemistry and water pressure. Just find something that you like and use it often. :)

My personal favorite at this time is the soap that Optimum produces, I buy it in the gallon size. It's a wonderful product!

  • This might be a stupid question, but im thinking about ordering this sprayer, but does it matter what soap i use? if i have it on a high foam setting, will soap commonly found at target or lowes work? (meguiars soap and turtle wax)

  • Nice foaming from the glimour really big difference between the two guns. What do u use to connect the hose to the glimour? thx.

  • With the Gilmour, I typically add 1.5 - 2 ozs of soap per quart of water. They shoud wash 2 cars when they aren't too dirty.

Some soaps foam far more than others. Water pressure also makes a difference, our water pressure isn't that great during the summer.

    Thanks for the comments.

  • Sorry, i didn´t watch the whole video the first time, when i watched the whole i saw that it started to lather up.

  • Doesn´t look like there is to much foam, or did you dilute the shampoo with water before applying to the car?

  • Where can I get this Gilmour Gun from?

  • Thanks for the videos!
