imo, the hardest part of the fight is getting your ranged to focus the beasts. We kept wiping on it until finally we kicked almost all the ranged and replaced with people who would listen, after that it went smooth sailing and we got the 25man achievement for having less than 5 marks.

Your speed is reduced if you're close to them, they deal 300% damage, and they snare targets. Basically melee can't touch them. He also gains blood power like a beast. I think Kripparrian said that they took 7 marks at the end of the fight or something like that.

@Kus3tjuv What makes this fight hard is the DPS/healing recquirements, also from my point of view it is very RNG dependant. The fight is really tough on healing because the marks tick for 15-18k on clothies i beleive and if a mark gets blood boil/nova on them at the same time as they have a mark on them they basically get instagibbed which results in a wipe since saurfang gains round about 20% of his HP from a mark dying.

So I did a little experiment. Two weeks ago on saurfang hc, I totally ignored the adds, just placed a frost trap down and nuked the boss for the entire fight. I ended up doing 15.8k.

A week later same fight, I dpsed the adds also and ended up doing 13.7k. Then they start bitching..

In my opinion in the WoTLK these tops guilds have the best of the best who know every last detail of their class. The difficulty hasn't really gotten easier, the players have just gotten so much better and can adapt and come up with strategies so much faster than before.

@marius0228 typically when i do icc i judge on how low the bosses health is, since im typically doing 25 and im fully buffed with all pally buffs i never really go oom, but if the boss is at like 10% and i have 1k mana ill switch to viper get up to 30% mana and well finish him off
