@Deathrattle100 this song obviously evokes meaning and emotion for many people . the band has stated many times that the ' meaning " behind their music is up for interpretation .
I am 17 years old, and from the guitar playing of Jimmy Paige to the mellow melodic tune from Pink Floyd I love classical rock and old Rock and Roll, I do wish I was born in my fathers generation where everything was simpler, but I'm just glad I can enjoy music like this wherever and whenever I want, the only time I listen to the crap of today is when I'm working at a place that puts the songs on, even then I just put in my ipod for some classics, and get fired, but hey, less today music!
This beautiful song brought a new great friend to me. He is awsome and I hope to meet him soon to thank him in person and perhaps spend time with him. This is for you Brian; You Rock! Thanks, Melanie...
Never heard a bad song by these geniuses. Great guys too. I met them and they are real gentlemen and they can perform. I see them every time they come to Cleveland. Keep the music coming and keep on rocking. Rap must die. Rock and roll and metal live for ever.
of ALL th versions (diffrent preformances) of this song on tube..This version is NAILED!.The band, his singing and expression is fucking awesome..So seems to me much more relaxed, with the dynamics perfect.NAILED IT!!!.good post Zamboid..
I have no idea if the pinhead, numnut idiots of today could appreciate the beauty and majesty of this song. We all know they sure as hell couldn't create such a masterpiece even if they killed on Rockband or enrolled in a "School of Rock" HAHAHA!
So happy to have grown up and old in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
The eminem/ludacris generation can go suck my cock and eat my shit afterwards. Sorry to be a hater, but I'm livid at the state of music today.
@DestroyerofSouls666 Hey I feel your pain. I just read your posting 5 months after the fact and this Queensryche song knocks me off (even 20 years later). Being a weekend musician, I know the value of performance and what is lost with today's generation is musicianship and pride in learning to actually play an instrument, create a beautiful song (such as this), and working collaboratively with other great musicians to bring this new song to life. Stay strong...this lunacy shall pass
@DestroyerofSouls666 I agree how in the Hell can 10 people not like this song. Still think this is the best album they did and this is one of their best songs of all time. That's just my opinion though
@DestroyerofSouls666 I totally agree with you on that the music this day and age sucks even thou there are a few good songs and bands out there but nothing like when we grew up.
@DestroyerofSouls666 Probably what your grandfather said about the music you love. Although I suspect he said it with less bad language. Your just getting old and irrelevant. Don't be scared, it happens to us all. :)
@mkelly534 --True, I'm sure my grandpa felt the same way. But, I can also say for sure we both didn't grow up in a world of amber alerts, terrort threat levels, sex offender lists, home invasions, gang shootings at the mall, press 1 for English, sensitivity training, Octomoms, Lilos, Farcebook, incessant texting, frivolous lawsuits, and a host of other maladies. Life had its hardships then, but the culture wasn't as rotted like today. Enjoy your sampled gibberish and your welfare check, homie!
@DestroyerofSouls666 Not on welfare but if your are offering checks I will take one. Your anger may keep you warm, but I do not see how it helps you. Study history. Really study it and you find yourself repeated a million times over the last thousand years. We are all specks. We live and die and nobody even notices. Do you really want to spend you few years alive being angry?
@mkelly534 --but there is no nobility in being silent or apathetic either. And I urge all my fellow rockers and metalheads to continue to stand tall and speak out against bullshit whether in music or life in general. Life is indeed short so I choose to grab it by the throat and raise hell \m/!!!!!

saw Queensryche in a small venue in Atlanta doing Operation Mindcrime 1 and 2.Awesome show and stood right in front of Tate the whole time.Wish DeGarmo could have been there.
This song was written by Chris DeGarmo the lead guitarist for Queensryche. It is based supposedly on a process of Lucid Dreaming. Amazing song for an amazing band.

Awful tinny acoustics, should see Gilmour or Lifeson to learn about a good acoustic sound, ruined a good song, oh yeah Flaggius - best band, best song don't be so daft you definitely need to hear more music bonny lad.
lennex88 grow the fuck up u soft twat lose someone you love and you think you are big my father was 100% more of a person than you will ever be you cunt go and learn respect
@leef0324uk ..My heart goes out to you..I'm barely 40 years of age and have already lost my little sister when she was 13 years old and my brother when he was 20 years old. These are just a few people who I knew and loved who have passed away. Just hang in there. At least your still alive. Make the most of your life. Godspeed.
@leef0324uk it sounds like as close as you were to him he never really left. death is a hard thing to try and understand. i guess he was needed more some where eles.
Amazing. I love Tate's little hand motion when he asks "Or has it just begun?" It's like he's posing a question that he actually wants you to think about.
Great song! The kind of song that you NEVER EVER hear on swedish radio (hip hop and post punk are rulers there...)! I think it was poduced by Bob Ezrin, and you can definitely hear the resemblance to for instance Comfortably numb...right??
What a beatifull voice this guy has.....even when he speaks

Awful tinny acoustics, should see Gilmour or Lifeson to learn about a good acoustic sound, ruined a good song, oh yeah Flaggius - best band, best song don't be so daft you definitely need to hear more music bonny lad.

Godspeed.
