Al Davis sucks even more. The Raiders were losing long before Kiffin was hired. I dont think you can blame Kiffin for their failures. The last time the Raiders won the Super Bowl, Kiffin was 9 years old! It doesn't matter who Davis hires. They could bring back Knute Rockne from the dead. It still wont matter. The Raiders suck because their owner sucks!
@bskingkong Kiffin was hated by a lot fans, there is no denying it. And I feel he was overrated as a play caller plus Kiffin was always a little too cocky for me. BUT he has shown he can be a good coach, UT blows and while 7-6 isn't great they were a competitive team under Kiffin. I'm personally not a huge fan of Kiffin, but its a good hire because of the staff he is bringing in and are recruiting will be top notch. Not to mention Matt Barkely couldn't be happier right now.
lane will be a big time coach at UT.he has nfl experience.which will lead to tons of 4 and 5 star recruits.give him 2-3 yrs to get his guys in there along with his father coach with him.UT will be a force again.coming from notre dame fan
TN and Notre Dame have had some great games together. Hopefully the Vols can rebuild and play competitive again in the near future, especially against the Fighting Irish.
As a Tennessee fan, I must say that I've been very impressed with Coach Kiffin thus far. He's very energetic and has hit the recruiting trail with a vengeance. I also love the fact that Monte is going to be our next DC. That's a great start to his staff. We'll see what happens on the field in spring practice and next fall, but for now, he's off to a fantastic start.

salisbury is a joke!!!! the High points of the organization that he points out were ryan, mcfadden, and russel. those were all davis' choices not kiffens. if kiffen had his way the raiders would have calvin johnson and ryan would be fired. the main reason that kiffen got fired was because of his lack of respect!! the other half is because he single handedly lost the last two games with his terrible play calling. who tries a 76 yard field gaol??????? salisbury, your just a raider hater!!!!!!!!!

Forgive Kiffin for wanting his own staff and players that fit his system which Davis dislikes because he doesn't throw the deep ball every other play. Davis doesn't know what he's doing he has all this talent and he doesn't know how to get his team to win.

I'm sorry, but it's been proven that Davis is detrimental to building winning football teams. Say what you want about Kiffin, but I guarantee you the Raiders will never have a coach even as good as him again. I've been saying since '02 that the Raiders will never have anyone as good as Gruden again. That still holds true.
