@thenotseenkill No, they wouldnt make a lighter version of the m1 garand, i have one and its perfect. The m1 carbine was a "carbine" meant for the mortar crews and 1919a4, not a6 but the a4 model as there was no other weapon for them to carry(light weight) It wasn't modeled after the M1 Garand. Just because it has a wood stock and that it has a bolt at the top doesn't mean anything. Thats like saying the M4 is basicly a lighter version of the m16. it was just made for diff uses.
