This is built by JR. JR builds servos gyros etc for the hobby industry. Its nice tech, but nothing revolutionary. This robot I believe was released after Futaba (JR's biggest competitor in American and Japanese markets) released theirs. Hitec have also got a human like robot just like this. Nice toy, but a toy nevertheless.

RC tanks would be ridiculously hard, because everything would have to be operated by machines and that's hard, even today's tanks have many software/AI controlled operations but still requires humans to "pilot" them.
