  • 1:21 angel with wings... He's the angel :)

  • Bon choix. -

    Buona scelta.

  • The film talks about a Polish family. What Visconti was looking for was clearly a blonde boy, with an angelic face and hair. For me, seeing this clip, it must have been Björn Andresen ....

  • there was no other choice for Tadzio. I'm just sorry it ruined his life.

  • It's extraordinary how Bjorn looks in the test exactly like he does in the film. Usually you don't believe the actor is the same person in test and in the film so much work is done on the person but that's not his case. He was totally ready to be Tadzio, Visconti just needed to put a camera on his stunning beauty. It's an extraordinary moment in the movie history.

  • @JoeBLOG5 Tadzio was not mean to be passionate at all, but an Apolinean god. You're accusing him of not having human emotions, but that was exactly what Visconti was trying to achieve: his beauty was otherworldly, not subnitted to our mediocre humanity.

  • In life he has proved to be an asshole.

    Ugly character.

  • The other kids were cute, but Andresen had a sexy, beautiful aura about him. Almost elegant in a sense, and he looks childish and innocent at the same time. That is why he is the best choice! Andresen all the way:)

  • I don't know... None of them made my heart stop like Andersen

  • a crane standing in chicken farm? bahahahahaha!! right!!!! well said!

  • ugly??

  • Incredible beauty, inside and out...And is such a fleeting moment in time..perhaps a couple of years. I wonder how he looks now. He is 55 now

  • I want to cry - do not get undressed, Bjorn, run out!

  • some of the kids were pretty ugly...

  • @yellowwitch1 I'll bet a few of them have seen this video and read your comment.....

  • Oh my good! It´s a so precious material!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for posting it! Bjorn Andresen was Tadzio with no doubt since the begining...

  • is it something like casting?!

previous boy didn't took off his clothes)

haha...Danke schön! Aufwiedersehen! thats all I understood)))

  • @StolarovVA: It is casting. I've been on several & if the director ask that of you, you do it. (W/in reason of course. lol! I think I was asked once to disrobe, but not completely. Thank God!) When director or casting agent is looking for something in particular (s)he instinctively knows what (s)he wants. If the boys weren't really wanted, then Visconti isn't going to ask them to disrobe. He knew from the start that he wanted Bjorn, since he was photogenic from head to toe.

  • I agree with you jodisweet. Luchino still had a lucky break with Bjorn though!!

  • Troppo grande visconti, che raffinato.Mi piace da morire.I suoi film sono eccezzionali.Mi sarebbe piaciuto conoscerlo.Grazie per quello che hai creato.

  • Björn era cosí bellissimo!!!!

  • Bjorn was the obvious choice. He seemed to take the interview in his strde!!

  • Bjorn was the obviouse choice but I think the boy at 6:08 was a close second, could have been a contender :->
