Ya'll can spit all the facts you want, but only ONE really matters. Honda NOT Nissan, has the largest percentage of vehicles sold in the last 25 years STILL ON THE ROAD. And I see WAAY more Nissan's broke down and blown up than Honda's. My Prelude has almost 273K, no rust, a GREAT motor, and is tight as a button. My moms Nissan, barely over 100K and TONS of things starting to go. And she barely drives it. Just a fact....HONDA FTW!
I can agree, my friend's g35 had an assload of problems in the short period he owned it. CD player doesn't work, squeaky seats, random interior trim coming off and falling apart. Driver side window motor went out.
my mom has a 2009 altima, and I got a 06 V6 accord. Altima is only 4 cyl but feels quick, but after sitting inside the accord, altima feels so cheap now
@DJOgurchik i was in vegas for a week and had to rent an altima. lemme tell ya, i missed my accord so much. driving the altima felt like driving a piece of plastic with the most disgusting sounding engine. ugh
@ShkeeShkee Im not saying altima is bad, it looks great, drives good too, the engine sounded like that cause of the cvt tranny. but accord is better for shou:)
@spacyfoil I have an 11 year old Focus that has never gone wrong. I think that the Fusion is more impressive then the Accord. Interior wise and drive wise.
@StangPowerfiveoh Dude i would smoke w/e ur 5.0 has with my inline 6... 5.0 sucks... no power for such a big engine and mods are so fckin expensive... slowstangs... lol
Mr grey shadow I have to say your 600cbr is on the slow side my busa is 0-100 in 3.2 seconds buy a bigger bike. As for the accord I own one too I love it very reliable and quick for an automatic.
My 03 Accord Coupe V6 6spd does that @ 5.9 seconds with traction OFF. Only have K&N air filter and always run it on premium, Engine all stock. =) great cars!
@SosiBibuSuka is it a coupe or a 4 door a have a 4 cylinder 4 door 2003 but thats my family car, i might just get a v6 6 speed if i can ever find one here on maui, any way how good is your accord? can you make a 0 to 60 vid ???
@mjeatsies The Camry has a 3.5L with a 6AT. It should be faster than the accord. I don't see how you are dissapointed. The camry has 24 more HP and more importantly 35ft lbs of tq more than the accord. The accord also only has a 5AT. Now a 03-07 accord 6MT will have no trouble hanging with the camry.
@mjeatsies never seen a camry do 0-60 in 5.7, maybe 6.5 tops. Plus this accord is auto, 0-60 6.7 tops. if it was the 6 speed accord it would do 0-60 in 5.9 sec, even faster in the 8th gen.
hey thats not too bad for a econobox. we are not talking about a race car either. Hell i have seen manual v6 accords run low 14s. Thats pretty good considering these cars arent meant to be raced no matter what any ricers says.
Do you or have ever owned a Accord? Do you know what a knock sensor is? Do you know what a Honda forum is? Do you know what a car review is. Do you know what a fuckin dyno is? Before you make yourself look any more retarded do some research.
Jumping on the "let me call him ricer so I can feel good" wagon is so old. and yes, higher octane fuel does produce more power, that is why race cars use 100+ octane. KID, stop watching Fast and Furious.
You've been watching too much Fast and Furious kid. The Si and S2000 do use premium, and it is recommended that v6 Accords use premium, but you wouldn't know from watching F&F.
yea dude 07350z probably aint a kid...read his username what do u think he drives fag slice....i bet u drive a shaggin wagon so until u let me kno what u got shut ur pipe
You believe he drives a 350z? Wow your the dumbest shit on youtube. So if I put NSX next to my name I drive one also? Get off welfare and get an education kid. Quit watching Fast and Furious.
if you got it out of new orelans after katrina it might be 7 grand. shit you can't even get a good 2002 Maxima SE that hasn't been beat down for 7 grand.
Higher octane fuel doesn't produce more power if you don't have a high compression engine. Most stock engines taking normal fuel will do just fine. If you have a high compression engine and you use low power fuel, the knock sensor will retard the timing in your engine, decreasing its power. Therefore, there is no gain from higher octane fuel, only loss from lower octane fuel in performance engines. Don't waste your money.
If the car is cheap, then it will use the low octane. If the car is over 30000 for new it is probably using those high compression v6's. You dont have a choice
I know, 90's are not as smooth or balanced as 60's, thats why I said 60. Honda has had the J engine for like a million years now and still not one DOHC head for it....
I dunno. I wonder sometimes if Honda engines are so immortal because they're so small. If the engine is small, simple, and compact, and drives a really light chassis around, maybe the lack of stress prolongues its life. So I think maybe Honda delays their DOHC V6s or V8s because they like their reputation and the econoboxes they sell don't "need" that much power.
i think they still use a SOHC V6 due to packaging. a DOHC head would be taller and require a taller hood. their 4 cylinders are pretty much all DOHC now. it's also slightly cheaper to build SOHC. as for a V8, one can only dream. i've been wanting to see that since lexus and infiniti leapfrogged the old legend.
Just to make sure we are on the same page, octane rating was created to show resistance to detonate by compression. Although I know compression causes heat the octane rating itself does not specially address heat.
In my stock 2007 Honda accord V6, i have gone 0-145 in 22 seconds. I tested it at a 2 mile straight track, running 91 octane. It has a speed limiter at 145, and it beeps the whole time after you hit 110, kinda annoying.
That beeping after 110MPH is your seatbelt that isn't fastened! lol
You also didn't go 0-145MPH in 22seconds. I have the same car and hit 0-110 in 20.4 seconds and use premium fuel and have I/E. Not even a new 09 6MT accord will hit 0 -145MPH in 22 seconds! But I love the accord none the less!
if you have a higher compression ratio in your car, then yes premium will help but stock accords can run fine on 87. Higher octane is used for many forced induction engines and race engines because there is alot of heat and the fuel may ignite before the spark causing detonation, this can hurt performance and fuck up ur car. higher octane makes the fuel harder to ignite from that higher heat, therefore helping performance.
yes you would if its a 7th or 8th gen Accord V6. We have a knock sensor and our ECU is able to adjust timing due to our knock sensor which can advance or retard timing as needed. where as the 6th gen accord v6 does not have a knock sensor and doesn't have the ability to gain power with the extra octane.
i love how this kids a dumb ass and didnt even put up a fight beacuse i called him out and made him feel like a dumb ass... manual g6? g6 0-60 in 6.5? just putting a intercooler in a g6? NOPE
wow dude vette doesnt have trouble making it to 60 in 6 seconds..... z06 does it in 3.7 c6 does it in 4.1 zr1 does it in 3.2 doesnt look like its having trouble to me. even the old c5s and c4s did it under 5 but 6? thats maybe an old vette like 60s.
i seriously need to see the dyno tests, cuz you are claiming something that a Vette has trouble accomplishing. 6 seconds? a TRUCK? i mean its, uh, heavy... perhaps?
i think the new ones do 5.6 so yeah pretty much 5.5 lol i timed this video at 6.9 but i know it can do it faster. i was just replying to the bozo down below that thought this was 8.4 seconds to 60...
Yeah, I bought the Charger mostly for looks, and it gets looks too! Every time I get out of it, I have to look back at least once coz it looks so bad ass. I couldn't ever see myself doing that with an Accord, but I know the Hondas are suppose to have superior quality. If you could have Honda quality with rear wheel drive & look of a muscle car, man, they would sell like crazy.
haha, i did that a lot when i got my new car. not only because of the way it looked but also that i couldn't believe that i finally got it after years of saving money! lol honda definitely creates some reliable and durable engines! but yeah i agree that theres nothing more badass than american muscle!

I counted 6.6 which is not bad considering its an auto. That was a pretty good launch. I was expecting at least 7 seconds since its a slush box.

That's like 6.7 sec? Not impressive, but definitely better than my 4 cylinder 2002 Accord.

wow dude vette doesnt have trouble making it to 60 in 6 seconds..... z06 does it in 3.7 c6 does it in 4.1 zr1 does it in 3.2 doesnt look like its having trouble to me. even the old c5s and c4s did it under 5 but 6? thats maybe an old vette like 60s.

Stock C6 = 4.0s
Stock Z06 = 3.5s
Stock ZR1 = 3.2s
just to clarify ;)
and yeah, 6 seconds was deff. not a current/recent vette.

xKILLZONAx 2 years ago
your funny, who would want to have a peice of shit Cherokee LMAO, thats the most busted ass american junk car that has ever been made
InfiniteMaC 2 years ago
i dont see hondas scaling mountains. jeeps however?
drfrisker 2 years ago
actually a cherokee is quite a good car, very reliable, cool, comfortable. not near as cool as a land rover but heh, still a good car
corotor12345 2 years ago
Unless your Cherokee is supercharged, you are not doing 0-60 in 6 seconds. Fail.
johnkimble555 2 years ago 2
its not, and i wasn't really serious.
xKILLZONAx 2 years ago
i disagree. my cherokee is pretty damn fast off the line.
it could actually destroy most cars....however it does have terrible rolling acceleration.
But 0-60 in 6 seconds can be possible with those 4.0l
Brutepaintballer 2 years ago
i seriously need to see the dyno tests, cuz you are claiming something that a Vette has trouble accomplishing. 6 seconds? a TRUCK? i mean its, uh, heavy... perhaps?
corotor12345 2 years ago
ill do a pull today, and ill ask me dad to do a pull in his cobra
xKILLZONAx 2 years ago
its ok cuz i already checked other vids out and ur right. i just didnt expect a truck to pull a 0-60 in under 8 seconds unless it was an AUDI Q7
corotor12345 2 years ago
i didn't think a truck would do it unless it was a jet truck. lol

I also clocked 6.8 (6.83). Lowest I've seen in a magazine was 6.5.
Random: What's quicker, the 05-07 Hybrids or the 06-07 V-6s? Far as I can tell, they're equal. The torque of the Hybrids is nice, though.

I got 6.59 but i think i started a little late by like a tenth of a second. I agree with dmelkumo

Did u even bother using a stop watch for God's sake??? 0-60 mph was in 6.9 seconds!
milo814 3 years ago 8
I thought the V6 Accord could do 0-60 in around 5.5 sec? I get 5.5 sec in my V8 Charger, but it's a larger car.
CrazyDood69 3 years ago
i think the new ones do 5.6 so yeah pretty much 5.5 lol i timed this video at 6.9 but i know it can do it faster. i was just replying to the bozo down below that thought this was 8.4 seconds to 60...
milo814 3 years ago
Yeah, I bought the Charger mostly for looks, and it gets looks too! Every time I get out of it, I have to look back at least once coz it looks so bad ass. I couldn't ever see myself doing that with an Accord, but I know the Hondas are suppose to have superior quality. If you could have Honda quality with rear wheel drive & look of a muscle car, man, they would sell like crazy.
CrazyDood69 3 years ago
haha, i did that a lot when i got my new car. not only because of the way it looked but also that i couldn't believe that i finally got it after years of saving money! lol honda definitely creates some reliable and durable engines! but yeah i agree that theres nothing more badass than american muscle!
milo814 3 years ago
I got 6.8 ... definitely not over 7 sec.
