@louiebones I have looked it up. Lloyd was never a part of Metallica this video is misleading. He only wrote the solo. which is different from Dave's version on the afore mentioned demo and from Kirk's KEA solo. Dave IS the FIRST and ORIGINAL Metallica Lead Guitarist.
Lloyd was never in Metallica.....i read somewhere that james and lars drove to his house with a 4 track recorder and he laid down the solos to hit the lights right there on the spot in only a few takes...he never played live with them or anything..

@JackFriedRice Well yeah!!! Because Not to many blacks I know are into metal. In fact outside of the internet I'm the only black person I know who is in to it. I remember being in highschool and bringing metallica and justice for all to school ( a predominately black high school) and all the kids who heard it saying "what the fuck is this"!!! So its very surprising.

@SinistaMinista666 I went to Sam's Town casino to see the Big Four in theaters and then a security guard stopped me and my friends, I thought we were in trouble, but turns out Megadeth and Metallica are his favorite bands! And a cop pulled my Dad over and let us go because he saw our Megadeth shirts. Cool stuff. Rock on Man!

Ron, Dave, Lloyd and Jason should be more respected for being part of Metallica's history, Cliff is obviously respected and we all know why and Rob is part of Metallica now, Jason and Dave are more known then Ron and Lloyd but everyone, it doesn't matter how small the role should be equally respected

Metal Massacre was recorded in june 14 1982 . Mustaine played on ron mcgoceneys demo where hit the lights appears on march 14 1982 obviously before lloyd

@louiebones I have looked it up. Lloyd was never a part of Metallica this video is misleading. He only wrote the solo. which is different from Dave's version on the afore mentioned demo and from Kirk's KEA solo. Dave IS the FIRST and ORIGINAL Metallica Lead Guitarist.

Lloyd was never in Metallica.....i read somewhere that james and lars drove to his house with a 4 track recorder and he laid down the solos to hit the lights right there on the spot in only a few takes...he never played live with them or anything..

@bukofjob Actually you're wrong. Metallica jamed with Lloyd more than just the Hit the Lights recording, it wasn't for very long but it was more than just that one time. He didn't record hit the lights with a few takes, it was only one take. And the reason James lost interest in him was because he had trouble keeping time with the rest of the band.

@rageagainstboxhead He only played the Hit the Lights solo for the Metal Massacre compilation not for KEA. He was just a friend of Metallica, I don't know they recorded in some house or a studio. If you listen to the 1982 demo's, Metal Massacre and KEA Hit the Lights solos each one differs from the others so his solo didnt last
