Uh. Yeah that was lame, especially because a person who really knew how to drive would blow that Mini out of the water with a GTI. GTI is almost half a second faster 0-60, so the fact that it seemed slower here makes no sense.

@deingeist you trust too much of brands released datas..the mk5 was slower than cooper S on 0-100km/h (7,17 to 7,32s) and just a bit faster on the 0-1000m....the new one produces 231hp at the dyno (211 declared...bah) and is around 6,65s on 0-100...with dsg...anyway..it is a turistic car for ignorants rumenians,too powerful for an FWD..nothing more..moreover VW (and logically audi..) had huge mistakes on speedos..very well made cars in general, but not funny to drive or for sports ambitions

ive had both of those cars, and the golf would have the cooper s in a straigh line but cooper is better around corners, all this prooves is golf driver here is shit at driving.

@ericjackson40 I hate it when people have no idea how to take off. tire spin makes your car SLOWER not faster. think of it like this, when walking on hard wood floors with socks, you dont have any grip so if you run you wont be as fast as if you had shoes. or a better example would be running with cleates, or however you spell that, on grass with wet dew. more grip=less tire spin which, in turn,=faster take off.
