  • Awesome playing!!

  • carlos montoya was crazy

  • you look rike ross from friends

  • why does he have hole on the top of the guitar? to hear himself better? :))

  • It's good to see someone play something by Montoya.

  • I'd die to have this tab...this track is amazing...i know i wouldn't be able to play but still i'm interested in tab

  • Absolutely beautiful. I love your playing. How come you have no CD's? I would buy them. (Surely playing guitar is not just a sideline and you are actually a physicist or a builder or something!! lol)

  • @Lynseyroberts Thank you, my friend. I do have 2 CDs for sale. Just go to my website.

  • @mininocurro Very good!!

But i just wonder where you have got the notes from The Great Paco and stuff like that. For me it is absolutely impossible to have any notes or tabs.

    Keep going bro

  • tremolooooo my god !!

  • Hi Grisha i love your playing. Where can i buy/find the tabs to the songs you play? Particularly this one

  • Never seen a picado this good yet

  • Невероятно! Невероятно красиво и точно!

  • Yo just wanted to say thanks keep playing bud g.j.

  • yeahh dont get thrown off by jealous people..You are doing a &%R/&%/good job!

I play myself and aint got your talent..Most DONT! Many off us learn to play and have fun.

But toget so good takes real efford and talent...Gods speed to you..Ahh you already got it

  • perfect - grisha you are the maestro of this musical art form

  • Hey Grisha!! what a great pleasure to hear your playing, you are are master young artist, I'm a musician my self, and I really appreciate to see artist like you, I,ll be happy to buy your recording if some day you make one

  • Has Grisha Played with any dancers? or Singers? If so are there any videos of it?

  • I only want to say : Bravo!!! Give you clap:) but flamenco is not universal in taiwan so i'm very sad :(

You are Master in spanish guitar that i have ever senn!!

    i'm your fan hahaha....

  • If ur mexican and play guitar u r automaticly eddie van halen ! Wish i was negro !!!

  • niiiiiiice!!!

  • Damn. I was totally thinking, "I could play this!" until about 32 seconds when you start doing those uber fast rest strokes. How do I get my rest strokes to that speed? Your rest stroke sounds like an fricken tremelo! awesome stuff. Also, I don't have really long nails. . .will that prevent me from quick rest stroke? b/c I know it messes up my tremelos

  • most impressive i've seen since Barrios' "la catedral" palyed by denis azabagic, and the 1976 farruca by paco peña

  • nice touch

  • @Wario221 Sorry, friend, I never sold a video to anyone in my life. I do compose, and some of it is on youtube, but you can't find it as I don't tag my name to these vids. When I have enough material for an album, I will produce it. But I have another path in life, and I believe in playing other people's music in concerts.

  • @Wario221 why you would even post a comment like that is beyond me. Tard.

  • @Wario221

dude you can Listen to a carlos montoya cd but i personally tune in to watch it being played as id love to be able to play these songs as well. Good luck finding a video of Sabicas playing con garbo y salero or any of the masters playing a lot of their material. Grisha is like heaven sent for someone looking for videos of these masterpieces being played as skillfully as they're meant to be played

  • @Wario221 shut up u jelous fuck u wish u can play like him dumb ass

  • @Wario221 I guess the same should then be said for all the millions of people that play Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, etc.??? People play other people's music. That's just the nature of it. Is there anything in life that is truly original? Isn't there a quote that says something along the lines of "imitation is the greatest form of flattery"? I one wishes to be the master, one must first start by thinking like the master. This kid is well on his way to being the master. Rock on Mininocurro!!!

  • @Wario221

Dude, 1st of all, unless you bear some striking namely resemblence to the evil character in the Mario games, you have your user-name based on a computer game, and hey, I aint going to go around knocking computer games, but seriously, pull your head out of your arse and realise that this guy, regardless of the fact that he plays other guitarists songs (FLAWLESSLY I might add) is a genius, post a video of you doing the same and I will be silent, otherwise Fuck back off to Marioland!!!!

  • @Wario221

In what you are saying you are completely disowning the whole idea of classical music; in which a performing musician takes unto himself to represent and keep alive the works of the greats before him.

I find great humility and respect in trying to perform another musicians work into the greatest detail and expression, and Grisha does this with such seriousness and dignity.

rather than dissing him, admire his humility and musicianship.

  • @Wario221 I guess anyone who's ever played Beethoven, Bach, Mozart , Paganini, Chopin, Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi or Handel should just put down their instruments then? Did it ever occur to you that this chap might have a wider repertoire then what you see on you-tube? Hahaha, I suppose you'd say the same thing to Hendrix for playing some of Dylan's music? You moron.

  • @Wario221 Man,don't speak when you don't know what you're talking about...if you knew what Grisha really does then you wouldn't have said that.Yes,he plays other people's track but yet he innovates them,he give those tracks his own mark.

  • he has a hair dyeing;

product it's called grisha formula ha ha

  • u guys see this mans face right? now picture him making the same face and head movement without the guitar in his hand and tell me what u think............please comment.

  • You should get at least a dollar for each view !!!

  • SKILL

  • Great Grisha ! You play great!!! good luck men:)

  • I've seen several of your videos. Very good!

  • mmmmmmmmhhhh Carlos!!!!super..........

  • rlly thnk u

  • im speechless and watch it again n again, absolutely excellent techniques for all your aspects.

  • Wow, 73,000 views and I think at least a thousand are me!

  • amazing

  • does any one know grish really teaches in boston?

  • Yes, I can assure you! :)

  • My mistake. I wasn't talking about "videos", but about the CDs. Anyway, it is not my business, but I was just a bit fed up with watching you everywhere playing other people songs...

Otherwise, good job. But I think the way you play is bad for your back, ask a specialist. I know it's how any "paco" play, but you'd better take a sit for your right feet.

    Cya

PS : I'm pretty curious to see one of your composition, do you have a link for it?

  • @Wario221 Thanks for the advise. I now use a guitar support and it's great. Can play both classical and flamenco with it. If my videos irritate you, why watch them? I understand that I can't please everyone. I do not pretend to be the author of the compositions I play; if you wish, you can call me a classical guitarist interpreting compositions by flamenco masters. As for my own music, it's a work in progress. Especially, since I discovered Riqueni. Type in "alegrias falseta take 2" for a taste.

  • @mininocurro your falseta is ery good, you should play more your own stuff, i know that your technique is great but with some innovation you could become the next great guitarist, better then paco tavarish!

    Spasiba

  • Wow,

thanks for posting this.I have been an aficion for decades of flamenco and carlos montoya. I must say I am impressed by your skills at recreating carlos's tone and flambouyant technique. I have my own flamenco blog and shall be posting about you soon. Cheers

  • Does anyone know where I can get the sheet music for this? Ive been looking everywhere

  • you can't. he eared it

  • wizzards do live i have just watched one thank you that was brialiant its not posible to rate this video i aint see any as good to compare with it

  • wow, i always thaught my dad was a genius when it comes to guitars, but after seeing ur video i really am speechless

well i have to show it to my father and even if he's very skilful with guitars what u did is a real masterpiece...respect

  • at least he can play....on the other hand...I bet you can't even play this style of music...or play music in general...

  • just brilliant.. your so skillful.. !

  • Fantastic guitar playing. What incredible technique.

    Very passionate piece.

  • It's passion and I love it!

  • no comment his guitar speaks for him.

    great musician

  • genieal

  • When i think that 20 years ago i would have sold my whole family to be able to purchase a cheap fuzzy VCR copy of anything played by Grisha,( actually if my family read this, don't worry, it's just a figure of speech, i would have sold only half of you guys). Now we all can witness this incredible talent at will, learn what a perfect tremolo sounds like ( while still wondering how he makes it look so easy) and spend a life time trying to duplicate it . Thanx for sharing your gift with us...

  • Carlos Montoya was a complete monster player, he had great technique. When you hear him play on a record, it actually sounds like he is smashing his guitar, really violent playing like ive never heard before.

  • Carlos had his bag of tricks and had a good career, but Grisha's technique and control of the instrument are way superior.

  • excellent!! quelle talent!

  • I'm going to learn this now, thank you- Perfect

  • great!

  • me da gusto que te preocupes por subir videos que nos acerquen aalgo tan fino como estas interpretaciones de grigory goryachev

  • Up till the 30 second mark I was somewhat worried, in that you appeared to be playing a piece that even I could play! Normally (and this case is no exception) you play only the most technically challenging and impressive music.

  • Carlos would be very proud! Goryachev is more than a classical guitar genius, apparently he is a flamenco genius as well. The trems are especially masterful.

What in the hell is this guy talking about Aces High for? It's a good song but it doesn't belong here.

  • Carlos Montoya would be proud buddy!

  • i want this :-(

  • wonderfull, just wonderfull

  • It's beautiful.. really.

  • generalghruff. Are you under medical care?

  • no.

  • why do you think he plays acces high by iron maiden ?

  • Don't feed the troll! and Goryachev is a classical guitar genius!

  • So beautiful! Outstanding playing!

  • OK I am going to quit playing now or just play all of the time that was unreal

  • wow!! I love it!! I could watch and listen to this for a long time!!

  • Oleeeeeeeeeee ... Great ..!!!!

  • just kidding but It kind of looks like it lol

  • the amazing part is that hes blind.

  • wtf...no hes not??

  • I can't see how anyone can play this better! Non human technique!

  • Me too! I'm looking for sheet music or tabs, but can't find the song. If someone posted more details it would make my month(s)! :)

  • i cant find this song anywhere!!! is that the real name of the song? Granadina? someone tell me please!!!...by the way, this guy is just out of this world, AMAZING!!!

  • ok this was absolutely amazing

best 5 minutes I've spent on here

    kudos to you

  • I love Carlos Montoya. This guy is amazing! Carlos would be very pleased.

  • This man is amazing! What a pleasure to watch him play the piece. I like this song by Carlos, but the rendition by Paco Pena is perfection that this one cannot match.

  • Paco Pena is expressive but but does not have the technical level that Grisha has (specially in the fast scales department). You may like Paco's aproach better, but his fast lines do not sound as clear and well defined. By the way, both Paco and Grisha are way better guitarists than Carlos Montoya ever was.

  • Totally agreed. I think Carlos Montaya's playing is vastly overrated...

  • Oops, accidentally misspelled "Montoya". Gah.

  • do you and montoya pick strings upwards like a bass player??? please tell me

  • there are loads of flamenco techniques but yes he's picking upwards some of the time

  • some say ... i want to play like my idol, and when you reach that point ....they say you copy someone ..... i say ... you accomplish a dream ... Soon ... some will say that they want to play like Grisha !

  • hes russian, hes fantastic he has alot of videos on here search for grisha and they should just come up

    Tom

  • Wow, this gentleman is incredible ! Great performance. Thanks for posting this....

  • WOW!! that is simply breath-taking!! from where is this guy?!:)

  • verry fluid. like hes not trying.,,, sick

  • The way in which he blends classical and flamenco IS his style, I believe too many people are overlooking this. The romanticism of Russia shines thorough in gifted musicians like Grisha and if he isn't yet on the same level of notoriety with musicians like Rostropovich, he will be in due time.

  • hes pretty dam good, i would like to see more original work

  • you dont really know much about music or playing an instrument

  • It is too easy to say that Grisha should develop his own style. He is obviously a master of the genre and plays extremely well - with speed, emotion and lyrical sense. Those who emulate the giants of music are standing on the shoulders of giants.

  • I think Grisha has his own style. Sure he covers a lot of songs, but he does his own thing with them.

  • No question this guy has talent. He's technique is impecable. However, I do think he needs to develope a sence of his own style. I've read he's also an acomplished classical guitarist. Grisha maybe the next generation Williams-Sabicas all in one package. That's what makes his talent scary.

  • Considering that he is not from Spain, but, living outside, in some part of Russia, I believe that he does better than others that live and play in Spain. I was in Andalucia last year and I saw worst players than ninocurro.

No question that He still needs to develop his own style.

  • la granaina sta regular...no todo es escuela ay que poner un poco de tu parte encuanto a inprovisacion(yo no se tocar pero se cantar)

  • hey, who made that guitar?

  • this guy is hypnotized by his own music, amazing

  • well, just a few...

Notice at about :50 when Carlos' soul envelopes him....and at about 1:20 when he leans into the upper sound hole to hear Carlos "tell him" how to proceed....Grisha, the monster, so willingly succumbs.....that is a true maestro composition when the music itself speaks to the musician during its execution such that they become entranced by the maestro's will and spirit. Just simply brilliant!!!

  • Man you shouldn't be talking... your playing is the worst and most mediocre that i have ever heard.

  • Oh yeah, definitely. I'm absolutely horrible for someone who's 15.

    /sarcasm

    Honestly, get a life.

  • i wasn't talking to you!

  • You gotta be KIDDING me,your going to talk shit about Goryachev's playing?? The man plays like the legends.

  • I have no words.....

  • Amasing ! It is all I can say.

  • this man is not human

  • Would love to hear Don Ramon Montoya, I have 2 CDs of Carlos and although he is awesome his father is supposedly way better!

This guy rocks! I actually think he plays it tighter than Carlos himself!

  • Yes, He plays tighter than Carlos himself. In fact he plays the difficult parts basically tighter than anybody else. Grisha is a monster.

  • man i keep watching this

in response to luchito316 yeah i searched for more videos he has been playing guitar for a LONG time trust me :-O

  • WOW this is very good, I wonder how long this guy practices?! he is very good in all his videos. I'd like to know how many hours he spends with his guitar.

  • this man is gifted...

  • very nicely done. you seem to be mastering both of your hands.

  • incredible pill rolling action with the right hand, never seen anything like it.

  • The blues is a form of music i've learned to play in my roughly 14 years of playing guitar.but classical flemenco is another form i've only started.I wish like hell i could play stuff like Granadina, like the Blues classical especialy spanish classical flemenco is played from the soul and NOT from a book.Alas..i fear though my mind plays it just like on here,my fingers will prob never play this.

  • very nicely done. years ahead of me.

  • AMAZING!

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • una palabra: duende él lo tiene

  • He feels, he hears. Wonderful.

  • I agree with ubertommy. This guy's guitar face makes him look like he's being phalated. He's damn good though.

  • hah we have the exact same name, how stupid

  • WOW, my God this guy is really good!

  • None of you seem to recognize class. Lo Siento.

  • truly amazing player... although it appears he is being sucked off judging by that face

  • he's good but his guitarface is cheesy

  • Hey, wait a second: how come all those notes aren't on my guitar! Believe me, I've looked.

  • Is this dude is too poor to buy a guitar pick? He's gotta use his fingers. HA HA!

  • omg u cant be so nerd.... Flamenco is played without pick lol. UBER NOOB.

  • Amazing, the best I have heard it played. I really am impressed with this guy's control and emotions when he plays, he is feeling the music. I can only wish I could play like him.

  • Even if it weren't for Paco, Tomatito, Seranito etc..if Montoya was alive today he'd easily 'own' Juan Martin's ass..technically and musically..virtousity is at the heart of gypsy/gypsy influenced music styles..

  • Bravo! Casi lo mismo!

  • Impressive! Check my video also! Thanks!

  • That was awesome! Great job! Montoya was a true master!

  • No olvidar que el auténtico maestro y genio fue Ramón Montoya...please, don´t forget that the authentic genius and master was Ramon Montoya, uncle of Carlos...Carlos was a very good pupil...ragards

  • Anyone who plays like this guy or Montoya has reached mastery regardless of who taught him. Mozarts and Paganinis fathers botht taught them, but they were not on their sons levels in any way.

  • vale, pero también a veces los hijos de los genios no alcanzan el nivel del padre, como es el caso...ok, but sometimes sons are not on their father levels, and I think that´s the case...Don Ramón Montoya is a Milestone in flamenco guitar...

  • Can you find CD's in music stores? Or is it a specialty item you would have to order? I would be very interested in hearing his music.

  • I don´t know in the States...Montoya´s CDs are easy to find in Spain in music stores...you can try: flamenco-world dot com/tienda/autor/ramon-montoya/235/

  • Awesome playing!

  • Good Job. I wish someone would post the Maestro,Carlos Montoya on you tube. Lets not for get Doyle Dykes while were talking about masters.peace, bobby redondo

  • ti otshen chorosjo igraesh na gitare!

    spasibo za video!

    tseloejoe iz Belgii

    xxx

  • Man thats my fav.from Montoya and Gorachev pay it dead on perfect!

  • Thank you! Glad to see I am not the only one who loves this music. It's different, and it's romantic. Modern flamenco is great and really complicated, but I am still mesmerized by the honest sounds of old flamenco (if you can call that Montoya's personal take on granadinas). Why think in terms of superior and inferior? If it touches your heart it's great. Simplicity definitely has its advantages, and is nice to experience once in a while.

  • paco is not the only great flamenco guitarist , great job bringing montoya to life

  • Thank YOU FOR PLAYING MONTOYA's music...his music is being forgotten and ppl like you can bring his music back....

  • i consider myself a good fingerpicker but thats amazing- great execution

  • Olay ßudur.... ( Perfect )

  • perfect
