  • N900 .

  • i don't trust this guy.

  • Entirely disagree with you. Really enjoyed Kevin and Rangaswami's comments. Good to have wide variety of perspectives. You should hear how an American accent sounds from this side of the pond (-:

Great discussion - particularly liked hearing Mikes passion for his new life with google voice. Sometimes its worth listening to those early adopters who are having a hard time communicating a major life change technology is making!! You can sense the frustration. Will be watching more of these.

  • You are completely WRONG about Kevin Marks, aka "the British guy". He was very much invited and, in fact, is a regular voice on the Gillmor Gang. Not only does he provide valuable insight to the show on a steady basis but IMHO his accent is sexy!

  • If you start using android is being really really cranky a side effect? yikes.

  • why does arrington look like he hasn't slept in a week?

  • I just have to say no one has mentioned

Maemo OS (NOKIA, N900) Looks Amazing

    and

Blackberry OS (BLACKBERRY, STORM2) Looks Amazing Aswell

I wouldnt be able to choose between the two but would prefer over the DROID and over the IPHONE and definitely Windows Mobile and Symbian.

  • I agree, The Maemo OS does look sick, and with reported 5+MP camera, and expansion of memory adding a 16gb microSD totaling 48gb I believe? It makes N900 a great competitor as well.

  • Um, Nokia is not dead. Nokia is the biggest mobile phone manufacturer in the world. They're as dead as Microsoft.

  • If the crutch pad comes loaded with branded nonsense I'm out.

    OR.

    I'll just replace to OS.

  • steamrolling along ... /touches nose

    he's lying

  • I have a iPhone 3G and lots of ader Handy 's (Sony,Samsung,LG,Nokia) and i can say: Apple PC is not the best, but his iPhone is so good sometimes i fink its from the future.

  • I think two distinct camps will (or have) developed.

    1. People who "just want it to work and be simple" will choose iPhone

    2. People who "want it to do more" and "be extensible" will choose Android.

Too bad the carriers (still) have so much to say about handset choice.

  • Good discussion, but you could have addressed some more of the fundamental differences between the two platforms. Such as background tasks, openess of the market (and not limited to a single market) on Android, and the "services" capabilities of Android (one app can provide services to another).

Scoble's complaint about the quality of Twitter apps on Android is just a "point in time" issue.

  • your fundamental differences are just a point in time too
