God bless ya, Gordo, you are still the man. Yes, his voice is thin and reedy now, and his gorgeous curls just a distant memory, but the talent never dies. I consider myself honored to have seen him many times live in the 70's. I adore him.
Excellent as always is Gordon Lightfoot. I grew up in Jamaica listening to his songs, and it has always been a pleasure to attend his concerts.May GOD continue to bless him. Hartley C.
My daughter had an essay on historical events that helped to shape Canada as a country.
One of the big ones for Canada is the day Gordon picked up a guitar and started to write.
He is an icon that everyone here knows...we may not think of him everyday but to many of us he is like a founding father figure..
We may not hear his songs for a while but underneath we all hold our breath for his continued good health, gracious spirit and his singularity of soul with this country.
@zeroceiling I was very upset that they didn't do ANY Lightfoot material at either opening or closing shows at the Winter Olympics! Canada is Lightfoot man!
Three cheers for Gordon Lightfoot creating his own music, creating original works of musical art, instead of just singing other people's pop music. Well done !
Oh man. This is great - I haven't seen him solo since the 60's. I'd give my eye teeth to have him come play a small venue solo (apologies to Terry, Barry, Rick and all - love them dearly, but just one more time...)
Love this video. He mesmerized me then and he mesmerizes me now. If this doesn't prove he's still got it, I don't know what does. I never tire of listening to and watching this great man. Just let it ride............
Hey- I've been a fan since I was 10. That's 40 years of loving this troubadour. Hope ya'll keep putting this stuff of the computer, 'cause I can't figure out how to work my kid's dvd player.
You just gotta love the man! Every now and then you see the flashbacks of Gordon in his prime, but you have to admit it's great to see him still playing, still singing, making the fans happy. Talk about longevity. Talk about a legend! You go Gord!
@LinYouToo he does it for US the fan, lord knows he doesnt need the money. more than happy to entertain us i will be a fan until the good lord calls me home. i will be a fan thereafter as well
And my town of 60000 couldnt fill a 4000 seat arena for his show last night, this is what keisha and Minaj(etc) have done to our youth.

It's just tha?. He Is a timeless man? You now!
I have something of him! Guess what it is. Some old records... I found when I was young! collected his stuff!
Does he deserve this? Yes! All his stuff has been thrown onto CD... With a program that I have to create those scrathcy things...to perfection!
My grandkids.. will wonder what I was playing... you "don't know him?" Dowload off the computer and CD... to my grandkids... to capture..him!
The man is timeless...
