  • Awesome thanks, you made replaceing the 4X4 switch easy

  • Thanks duder, but you coulda done this in the fuckin daytime.

  • why couldnt you make this video in the fuckin day

  • thanks for the video...i was able to hook up my ipod cable with no problem

  • Thx this really helped me! Keep up the good work!

  • Thank you

  • do you have a video showing how to put a amp and speakers in. ive tried alot of different things but the amp still doesnt come on.

  • thanks!

  • i have the on steering wheel controls for the HU, is it possible to hook them up to an after market unit? thanks for the help!

  • This is a very helpful video. I have an 2006 Trailblazer with an aftermarket radio installed, and everytime I open my door the radio comes on for a brief second then shuts off without the key in the ignition.. Any suggestions????

  • do these instructions apply to a 2008 trailblazer?

  • Man thank you so much. This really does help. It will save me a bunch of money. Best Buy (Geek Squad) wanted to install it for me for 325 dollars. I was like no thanks. Ill just buy the stereo and put it in myself. I put in 4 6 1/2'' Sony Xplod's in my car. Really cheap for really good speakers. Now I'm waiting to put in a 10'' Pioneer sub, with a 1000 watt amp.

  • This video was wonderful I really appreciate you taking the time to show us how to do it.

  • Thanks just what I needed my original stereo is having issues

  • thank you rizzo!!!! great step by step video bro helped me out a lot!

  • Hey thanks alot man that was a big help

  • THANKS MAN!!!! i just stole three last night damn!

  • what exactly are the chimes?

  • Thanks for the tips. I got a 02 trailblaser and for some reason only the right front door speakers and the driver side tweeter are working I think it has something to do with the head unit. I do have the bose system but I dont know if there is a stock amp in there. If so that might be the problem. I would like to keep everything stock if posible and maybe a single external 12 inch sub in the back. But thanks for the great tips. If you got any info on it i would on it I would appreciate it.

  • Saved me a lot of time! Thanks

  • i put an aftermarket cd player in my trailblazer but for some reason it won't shut off with my car, it stays on even after the keys are out of the ignition and the door is opened...i just turn it on and off manually but any suggestions??

  • It sounds like you connected the ignition wire from the stereo to constant 12v power which is why it stays on. You have to connect that wire to your ignition power on your vehicle so it'll turn off whenever you take out the key. hope that helps.

  • where is the ignition wire that i can hook it to? it's the accessory that is hooked into my fuse box under the hood right now...i was thinkin about getting one of those "add a circuit" fuses and running it to that instead but i was afraid it would just do the same thing...and yes i have the harness that doesn't keep the chimes becuase i had no chimes to start with

  • I have radio I'm about ot put in my trailblazer 03. The guy who sold me the radio didn't give me a wiring harness with it. Do I have to buy another and do I have to buy that GM thing you were talking about?

  • @frankrizzo442 where do i find the wire at, is the a spot in the fuse box

  • there is a plug and play adaptor that u have to get from the radio store. if i am not mistaken you hooked it up using the regular adaptor that doesnt have the chime.

  • its simple, but more complicated then I thought. great vid though you'll save me at least an hour of work.

  • i have an '06 trailblazer with onstar & Bose system (ughh...). I picked up an Axxiss i-pod auxilary adapter (AIP-GMO1-ID) today and the guys at circuit city (and the instruction book it came with) say it fits. i'm going back to circuit city tomorrow to have them install it, but if i can do it myself and save $75, that would be good. Any advice?

  • Very good video and informative. Thank you. I got the job done, thanks to you!

  • Glad to hear! =)

  • I'm from sweden I might add :)

  • Great video! a question,i have an -02 tb,and it,s not to easy to get those adaptor things for the chimes, what would happen if i went witout it? any ideas? thanx again

  • You would have to find all the wires for the power, remote, antenna, illumination. Alot of stuff. The clip just makes it that much easier. Try Ebay. That's where I bought mine.

  • helped a lot thank you

  • on th factory stereo can you hook up a basic monster cable for ipod or no?

  • great video...but i have a problem i bought the GM wire harness that says is compatiable wit my 02 trailblazer...wired it up and got nothing but the cd motor spinning inside...really need suggestions are welcome!

  • Very helpful. The back speakers aren't working on my Trailblazer and I want to double check to make sure all the connections are engaged. The radio was serviced by the dealer when my sister owned the car and I suspect they never plugged in the back spearkers. Your video will help me get the job done. Thanks!

  • Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks !!

  • Why did you say "good luck" to those who own a TB with a bose system? Is it hard to remove? or is it bad?

Oh and thanks for posting the video! - Do more if you can my man. :)

  • Since I don't know what's required to remove a bose system. That's why I said goodluck.

  • awesome vid- thanks- was searching for trailblazer stereo removal instructions and this was perfecto!!
