    set the hook realy well

  • @maxgreencurse Thanks for watching and the advice. My favorite bait for catching trout in this brook, which is only 15 minutes from where I live, is a gold spinner with hook and a bit of worm. It never fails.

I go to this little brook when I want a few pan size trout to fry up. The biggest trout I caught here was about 2 pounds.

  • nice vid. to avoid getting caught in the tree keep your rod tip low and cast it to the side.

  • @cwturkey1989

Glad you enjoyed it. I'll pass your tip along to my nephew and his son.

Of course I don't need it. LOL

  • You guys need to handle a trout correctly! Wet your hands, and cradle the creature, for if this is not done, the protective layer of skin, will rub off, and the trout, will most likely die, or get ill, from infection! Without being kind to them, none of you will ever be professional brook trout fishermen!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for your comment.

You are correct for catch and release. However, in this case we were catching a few small brook trout for the frying pan as was evident by the plate of fish at the end.
