Will this work in a Windows 7? My soundblaster just died after only a few months. I am not happy. Tried using it with Adobe Audition multitract and was not too happy with the blaster support.
I have a question about the phono sockets. If they are left & right stereo are they still capable of recording separate tracks to your software? In other words are they 6 tracks or 3 stereo tracks? We are considering getting this card but we need all eight inputs for our rhythm section and scratch tracks combined.
would this let me use my mackie 1604 vlz pro mixer as an interface into the computer 2 record instruments and let me mix them after using a software..also wut software could i use to make that possible..thanks
i just bought this sound card installed the drivers but i still aint gettin any sound :( i have my stereo hooked up to my computer im not sure how it all any ideas ?
@SeanHutton - does your computer recognize it properly? Check Device Manager in Windows. I'm assuming you have your speakers hooked up properly to a pair of the analog RCA outputs? If so, open Delta Control Panel and make sure your outputs are balanced and the gain is up. The source should be mixer. Next, on the Mixer tab, make sure your returns and master are turned up. Play a tune and you should see the green meters on the mixer page light up.
Nice video thanks that gives me a better idea how it all looks. I too have a Emu 404 that works great. However I would like a sound card that can record at least 4 audio tracks in Cubase at the same time at high quality like the EMU 404. Any suggestions what I should get, please ?
@AlexMatteparamore Soundcard allows your mic to communicate with your computer. It's the interface. Your mic and soundcards play an important part in your sound quality. Your mic foremost.
i have this sound card and i can't record anything. the only use it has is lisnin to music straight from my pc, wich i cud do b4 straight out the head phones socket. i dont understand? who ever created the programme to go with it must of been on drugs or summit! on the first tab it sez - 'monitor mixer' on that page you have mixer inputs, and just bel;ow where it sez that it sez 'wav out 1/2' the hole lay out on the programme is complictaed and i dont like. end of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
@petecockcroft I'll sell you mine. Message me, serious only! I will put it on E b a y soon. It's a sick card though. Only selling for personal reasons.
@CALICOTV301 yeah i absolutly dont get it. the manual pdf is only available for the old software. the old manual is useless and bad descriptions in it. luckely i dont have the need to root my card :)
i have small problem with this card. when i try to plug in my mic it shows in m-audio control panel that my card is receiving the voice trough my mic but i cant record it from some reason. i have yamaha mg82cx mixer. and it doesnt matter do i connect the mic straight to the soundcard or trough my mixer. i have tested condenser mic and dynamic one. and it does show that the card receives the voice trough every channel. what should i do to get it working?
The only advantages that the Delta 1010 has over the E-MU 0404 is the following:
#1) Onboard Pre-Amp (alleviate the need of a pre-amp, D.I. Boxes, mixers especially when using condenser mics) 2) The extra six analog I/O Ports.
Anyway, , , ,Thanks claredowling for posting this video otherwise I wouldn't know anything about the Delta 1010 which is a new audio hardware interface to me.
the same way you install any pci card. open up your pc case. find an empty pci slot. remove the metal cover on the back of the case close to the slot. it should look slightly like the end of the pci card. then pop your card in.
Hey i just got an maudio1010lt for recordin purposes... but I have a slight problem b/c I want to record with guitar, but I dont have any RCA cables and thats all the M-audio takes... they have dual 1/4 to RCA cables but if I only have one line out how am i supposed to use this?? would a single 1/4 to dual rca stereo work if I wanted to record from my guitar amp? Plz let me know if you can help me thanks a lot :)
I just bought this (£110.99, with free P&P at absolute music uk), ... installed it yesterday, but i think it's faulty... there is this constant noise rumble for all the 8 analogue inputs, the volume is REALLY low, allmost in audible, and that mixer program doesn't do anything to the sound. volume level, mute, solo, no changes! - I'm running on intel core 2 duo, 2.4 GHz, 2 GB ram ddr2 at 667Mhz (I built it myself!)
... never mind. i fixed it now... to anyone out there with the same probles, it's the system IRQ conflict (with my on board sound card.). also, mess around with the motherboard bios (on board soundcard settings) - and about the non responbsive mixer faders, etc, you have to select / route "ch1/2 out" to the mixer.
These usually have a mixer but you have to access it through the computer options or Cakewalk (for example). One thing you want to do is make sure your levels are set WITHOUT relying on Cakewalk to "fix" them if they are too low. You might be turning up sound from the noise floor (and might not even be able to tell but will lose clarity once you have several tracks playing back).
ALSO! There is a better version of this card, it is going for over $400 in most places. You wont get it for less. It has a nice break out box and you can use 3 of them for up to 24 tracks. It looks more like a rack mount than the usual sound card and has preamps/inputs in the back and MIDI features up front. The M Audio site doesn't have it any more but it's on Amazon. I tried to look it up on the M Audio site for you and it still has the original price $750.
bloody awesome!
thank you for sharing

Is there a sound card for Laptops?
alvingb 7 months ago
@alvingb Yes, Maudio does the fast track, and youve got cheaper ones like the Lexicon omega. They are called external sound cards. Good luck mate!

@RGKDnBMC lol, you are right. the jumper settings are also crazy in the manual, i don´t get it. routing the card is a miracle. the software sucks.

I'd prefer the E-MU 0404 PCI based audio interface instead of a Delta 1010 Because of the following:
#1) Low Latency (2ms - 10ms even at 192Khz)
(2) Can render up to 192 khz SR
(3) It has S/PDIF
(4) It has optical signal I/O port
(5) It has MIDI I/O port
(6) Ultra low noise ASIO ports (Un-Balanced)
(7) Free of compatability issues with major renowned DAW softwares.
(8) Its Cheaper
(9) Burn proof as well as high toleration agianst high volume input.
LleviathanzZ 2 years ago
'(3) It has S/PDIF '
So does the 1010
'(5) It has MIDI I/O port '
So does the 1010
'(9) Burn proof as well as high toleration agianst high volume input.'
What do you mean high toleration against high volume ins? It'll either clip or it won't...
