Mr. Frisell is truly the John Coltrane of the guitar. And Sidiki Camara and Kenny Wolleson on drums... I wish this group would come back together and perform again.
I just met him at Trading Musician in Seattle. Very humble, laid-back guy. I'm happy to have him for a neighbor. His cover of 'Chain of Fools' smokes!
Frisell is an honest to gosh repository of music sensibility in this crazy world. If there were a global apocalypse and we could only save one musician to instruct the survivors on a new planet - he'd be the guy.

just saw bill for the first time live @ Largo in L.A. awesome show. it was the first show with his new band, and there were some ... shall we say uncomfortable... moments, but even then they were great. this is music about freedom, after all. and freedom is not often perfect.
This man will NEVER cease to amaze me. His technique, his resonance, his delicacy, his passion, and his utterly down-to-earth humanity unite to make him one of the finest (albeit underrated) guitarists in the world today. Thanks to everyone who uploads videos of any and all of Bill's many projects.
