  • one dumbass said it was that lcd and plasma are the same thing. bullshit

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you :)

  • also FYI, Plasma might have a realistic and richer picture but its not always better as it looks very dull compared to a Led/Lcd..

  • went to store to buy 3d led tv, sales guy kept insisting plasma is better so turned off the idea of buying either. Plasma Sucks balls but they try to sell you anyways because their sales are poor.. Boo you

  • @shui2hot4u Actually your an idiot, I work at stereo plus and design and I can assure you plasma does not suck balls and we do not try to sell it because sales are poors, plasma is better. Do your research.

  • Plasma tvs are shit and I know that, but your a good sales man you could prrly get

    Me to buy one lol.

  • i have done a lot of research since Panasonic launched the new plasma series, and i have to say the things that mad them bad where easy fixes. they have no more burn issues and built in anti-glare, last just as long. sports is a lot better to watch no motion blur, watching movies in blueray is so much clearer and gaming is a lot better also. i own a sharp led quattron 52 inch and i personally think the new panasonic plasmas have a better picture.

  • call me crazy but the screen on the bottom has way better blacks than the screen on the top.

  • This explained alot about the difference, thanks

  • Plasma FTW!!!

  • He spends the whole time talking about plasma tv vs old school lcd tv..lcd is dead ..backlit lcd led is leading the way

  • now i had one led 47 inch and sent it back to store the motion blur with the true motion that i could not turn off drove me crazy then i got a 32 led and looked lots better but still some motion blur gave it to mom lol ordered a plazma....cant stand the lcdled motion blur !!!

  • It is true that plasma has a very good picture the only down side to plasma is that as the gas in the tubes burn the brighter colors start to fade but new very good picture n with OLED out now I think OLED is going to replace plasma due to OLED has a very good picture just like plasma if not better m u don't have to worry about color fading

  • @HomermyHerro OLED has the same problem, the LEDs in it fade away over time, and its still not available and will be very expensive

  • Holy shit has tv come a long way.

  • is it true that plasma will die after some years becuse there's no gas left?

  • Yo prefiero un Lcd pero con un blue ray-I prefer a Lcd but witch a blue ray pardon my english

  • Never buy plasma. The "deeper black" jabber concerning plasma screens is just a red herring. And you can expect a plasma screen to be dead in five years. Not even as good as your grandmother's CRT television!

    Get the LED screen.

  • @tubewinkle wow thats just ignorance u dont know the facts. all hdtv manufactures of have admitted that Plasma is the better technology. They DO have better Black levels, accurate colors and the best motion handling. Have u ever heard of the Pioneer Kuro? to this day it is still the best hdtv and it is a Plasma. Reference quality. its critically acclaimed and now that Pioneer no longer makes them Panasonic's Plasma HDTV's are now the best HDTV's on the market. keep ur response friendly plz.

  • @tubewinkle IN 5 YEARS I BUY A NEW ONE NOTING LAST FOREVER

  • Why not throw DLP into the mix?

  • I'm going to buy a new big screen tv, my first in fact, and even though plasma has a better over all picture, I'm still going to buy a LCD. Just because of the burn in chance that plasma has. I game and don't want to chance of getting a burn in image if I fall asleep while playing, which I have done on more than once occasion. And I'm not one of those HDTV perfection guys, I just want a tv that I can watch tv and play games on.

  • Sony OLED 3d viewer is the best. all spec is perfect except of 720p only but a 150" size plasma is nothing.

1 60" plasma = 6 3d viewers. you can enjoyed watching movie without disturbance.

  • I have a Plasma and its shit... I mean I bought the plasma like 5 years ago but it burns the image and the blacks are not good like he says maybe the new plasmas are better but I won't ever buy a plasma again

  • i just like the thing on the tv. THE POLICE :D

  • LED is the second best screen, the best screen is OLED, soon we can buy OLED, is Organic LED display and the colors are real and black is black, real black

  • THIS GUY IS ABSOLUTELY RETARDED, IT GOES

    1ST: LED

    2ND: LCD

    3RD:PLASMA

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE FACT THAT PLASMA IS SHIT,

THIS GUY IS PROBABLY DOING SOME KIND OF MARKETING SCAM TO GET RID OF PLASMA STOCK TO BRING IN THE NEW LED AND LCD TVS, WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!

  • @MegaBiggy1234 lol, LED is a backlight, not a panel... Has nothing to do with LCD.

  • @ibanez0830 LED/LCD based tvs is what i meant for the first one.

  • @MegaBiggy1234 How fuckin old are you to write your comment in Caps Lock, are you butthurt about his opinions? Fact is Plasma is better, it has better contrast, better black levels and better colors.

LED technology is the same as LCD, the only difference is the backlight. LCD are shit for a reason

The new and only technology that will surpass plasma is OLED but its still not available

  • @TurkishHegemony your an idiot, plasma is old tech stupid, LED is new tech, plasmas quality is terrible, it doesnt come close to LED. also opinion doesnt mean fact, dumbass.

  • IF U NOTICE WHEN HE'S ABOUT TO TALK ABOUT THE SHIT PLASMAS THEY CUT THAT PART OF THE VIDEO

  • LEDs are almost coming close to plasmas with the deep blacks, but not quite there yet. If I had a theater room with and could block out all light, I'd go for top of the line Panasonic or Samsung Plasma. If I need a tv in a well lit room, I'd go with a top of the line LED. OLED are the next big thing though.

  • First place goes to: LED

    Second place goes to: plasma

    Thrid place goes to: LCD

    Am I right? ;P....

  • led is newer than plasma or lcd, led/lcd tvs are way better than plasma, plasma is shit, u can see squares all over plasmas seriously open your eyes people, plasma is old tecknology, led/lcd is newer and way richer in quality than any plasma, look how cheap plasmas are these days, its because they are shit, omg why are people so stupid, this guy doesnt know what he's talking about

  • my pioneer elite 60 inch is still the BEST tv out there

  • Can i put screensavers on my Philips LED TV? lIKE AQUARIUM AND OTHER THINGS!

  • Not a mention of plasma burn in or image retention eh?

  • They should have recorded this in HD is they were going to cover the quality and the blackness on the screens.

  • What led needs to do is copy plasma's style, but instead of tubes, use leds. Its the best of both worlds.

  • So basicly, plasma is the same as cathothode tube displays, but with a lot of tubes instead of one. Explains why its better.

  • whats good for video games lcd led or plasma

  • @apolanco602 led

  • Fuck ya' all!

I have compraired many times LCD and Plasma and I found that LCD LED FTW!

Nowadays LCD went up! I'm Using FHD 47'LG650s with 850Hz + 200Hz TruMotion & 9000000:1 contrast which can't even be compraired with Plasma TV's... And I'm happy!

  • Very informative and clear explanation about the different technologies!

  • Haha, I punched my LCD to get a PLASMA lol. Got it one day after I punched the fuck out of my LCD LOL. FINIYP!

  • @67Zaka What a waste.

  • @WiremuH Asian ching chong shut up, your eyes goes like this - . -

  • @67Zaka Ahahahaha, you're even more of a waste of space, dumbass. Bahahahaha.

  • Good vid. Thanks

  • Plasma has best picture

  • Can i run my pc through a lcd or plasma tv at a constant 1080p resolution i.e 1920x1080 for desktop use? SOme lcd tv manuals say do not connect a pc to the tv via the hdmi imput port? I have heard lcd tvs limit pc input use to lower resolution than 1080p, is this true? I would not be happy if i could not run my pc through a lcd tv at 1920x1080 as this means i would not be able to view my movies at hd resolution running from the pc through the lcd tv?

  • Hi guys, after reading all the comments about TVs I got really confused. I want to buy a new 47 or 50 inch smart TV (good picture quality) for watching movies and Formula 1 but I am not sure which TV I should get. Can anyone help me to choose the best one, please.

  • I think it's actually the other way round. The plasma dark colours are horrible compared to the LED or LCD ones. But when it comes to bright colours plasma wins by far...

  • HiSense F55V89C: OUTSTANDING TV!! Could NOT ask for more!

I looked at this TV online for a week. I went to the h.h. gregg showroom and compared it to every other TV showing the same content. I've had it home for 3 weeks, i know I made the right decision. The picture is so brilliant and so well rendered, you feel you could reach into the TV and touch the people. The leap from 55 inch RPTV to this LCD 55 inch TV is staggering. I see detail in movies I never noticed before! This TV is AMAZING.

  • i would take LSD TV!

  • Imho Plasma is fine in a dark areas. For myself i had a Pioneer Plasma for 2 years and it got a very natural colored picture. In a dark room black seemed to be perfect. But there are a lot very cheap 320-500 bucks 42" inch plasmas out there they are crap. For my sleeping room i got a LED backlightet Samsung 40" and well i don't really like the Korean fancy color settings and most of the time they only look really good at this settings. It's way to flashy and bright it hurts my eyes.

  • this guy is lost....

  • Okay I paid 2000 for my Samsung plasma 59" 3d with 600hz and few days ago went paid 1200 for 40" led Samsung that was a year older and looked way better just saying don't matter about Hz really all you need is 120hz can't tell a difference after that

  • The led has wayy better pic I have both plasma and led and the plasma is newer and the led still looks better ;)

  • @jlammchops depends how much you pay i have a exspensive 60 inch lg plasma n a exspensive 46 inch samsung led the led honestly sucks when playing games i get annoying outline of purpe when its moving alot its jsut les sucks 120hz vs 600hz i watch alot of sports so it all depends what you do with the tv

  • wat i care is about the Burn-in! and graphic motion!! i want to use them to play HD games!!

  • this fat guy is dumb.

  • How many of u think the lcd had the better pic lol?

  • Plasma is always the best and cheapest flat panel tv !!!!

    Plasma colour&contrast >> Led @ Lcd

  • People always get drawn to LED's because of the brightness but if you actually know what you are looking it plasma's almost always have a better picture. A lot of it depends on where you are looking at it as well. Many show rooms are set up to show off LED's and LCD's because they have more of them. I sell TV's and see them every damn day and there is no doubt that a good plasma is better than LED, you just have to know what the hell you are looking at.

  • Anyone has the Samsung UE40D5003 LED tv? Or another Samsung LED tv? I wanna buy one, but I want to make sure its a good tv.

How is the video and audio quality? And is it good for HD gaming?

    Pls respond,

    Thanks.

  • so then... What Tv is good? and Samsung or Sony or from what company?

I want it for playing and watching movies.

  • Plasma or LED for playstation3 gaming? what is better? pros and cons anyone? thanks in advance! :D

  • @StunnedMutha plasma all the way bro. if you want smooth and vivid gaming in flawless 3d go with plasma. if you want choppy motion resoloution, shitty black levels and 3d with ghosting, go with LED. LED might look smoother at times, thats because most LEDs have a setting that adds frames to make use of the 120hz refresh rate. Plasma has a 600hz sub field drive (refresh rate), which is capable of more than twice the smoothness, with the right source. Mind you, xbox and ps3 can only output 60hz

  • @luckynumero I know your right but its a little too late, oh well :P The TV i WAS using with my ps3 was a 10 year old rear projection, so in a sense even a potato would have been an improvement. Also i play in a very bright room and i heard plasmas can get a lot of glare, either way im happy mate :)

  • nice

  • Helpful

  • Very nice review. but the camera man is awkward.. hahaha thanks that was very informative.

  • lol the lcd's have better contrast

  • Thanks, very informative

  • omg is it safe to poke them screen :O hes poking them! :O

  • @daryltanael LOL, but in most of TV store, there's a big announcement that said

    "DON'T TOUCH THE TV !"

  • Comment removed

  • thank you so much for the information! :D

    Very easily understandable!

  • i am dissapointed to here that some lcd tv manuals say do not use the hdmi connection for connecting a pc. I thought lcd monitors and lcd tvs would be the same with hdmi connections. they also dont have a dvi port usually and only a old style vga pc port. Will this mean less quality using a vga rather than using a dvi port for pc connection. why can i not use a dvi to hdmi connection for pc on a lcd tv.

  • @210482fmj just get a dvi to hdmi converter, lossless quality i did that over 6 years ago.

  • there so many different types of LED t.vs u really can't compare plasma or standard lcd to them. a top end samsung lcd tv will look better than a mid grade led .

  • @BillyBodyBag666

why cant you..compareing is how you decide which is better and plasma is still the best picture period..anyone who says different has purchased an lcd or lcd based led tv and has to say that because its to late to take the tv back and get the better unit..ive had them all spared no expense over the years and now that plasma tv's last longer makes them an even better choice

  • @BillyBodyBag666 srry dude, the panasonic vt-25 puts LEC and LCD to shame; flawless infinite blacks/vibrant colors, 600hz sub field drive gives incredible smoothness for gaming, and the pixles produce a sharp yet warm picture that looks true to the eye; most LEDs are too sharp and the picture looks fake when things start moving around, creates a lot of aliasing around most edges as well. The Aqas has some pretty good colors, comparable to plasma, but still not even close

  • @luckynumero i didn't say led or lcd is better than plasma. i was just sayin that there are so many LED technologies out there and you can't really say its better than Plasma or standard LCD.

  • im With a Sony Bravia LCD HD-Ready and im Happy with my PS3 hooked up to it

  • lol the plasma looks worse in the vid

  • @jfb112697 No, it just has a lot more glare from the ceiling lamp right in front of it

  • @dovaje I know it had glare i didnt know from what but still ironic

  • @jfb112697 it doesnt look worse. Its just tha led's are brighter so you "think" it looks better cause of the bad camcorder.

  • @morfeas1000 Nope it looks worst in person and I viewed nearly all brands from samsung to sony it was just bad and the cam isnt showing how bad it was lol

  • @Rakyiia Then you are definitely looking at the wrong plasmas.

  • @jfb112697 he even tells you that in the video. lol

  • @jfb112697 I was just in a store interested in buying the plasma because of online reviews. Who is going to tap on their tvs like how he did lol and second the plasma has been the worst and i was really disappointed in the quality vs the led pictures. I kept going to led tvs I don't know what bar he is talking about as well but it was horrible viewing them side by side the plasma was blurry and color was not very clear.

  • @jfb112697 lol bad camera ankle lol

  • He is saying Plasma is more accurate in the dark, ironically its shows that the lower tv is more accurate that the top which he is pointing as plasma

  • @coolferds06 think abt where the light bulb is ...

  • I wonder how many people actually went to one of their stores out of the303,528 people that watched it.

  • you should really record in HD

  • Plasma tv is the lower portion and the lcd tv is in the upper portion, YOU'RE IDIOT.!!!

  • @coolferds06

First of all, how do you know that? Secondly, if you're going to be rude and call somebody an idiot, at least do it with proper grammar. "You are idiot" just seems ironic. If English isn't your first language, then that's all good though.

  • @piip4 Then listen to him carefully, (what is is saying and what he is doing) he is really an idiot man or he is trying to support the lcd because he is pointing the other way around Plasma tv is more accurate in the dark and if you will notice the bottom tv is the plasma, because its rich color and contrast. Yah my grammar is incorrect, but i'm more concern how this demo can trick a lot of people. If i am wrong, then i apologize. I have Plasma and LCD and i knew better which is good

  • @coolferds06

Yeah I see the bottom one looks like it has better contrast but that could just be because the top one is at an angle where it reflects a lot of light. I have an LCD and it can create black levels like the bottom one in the video.

  • @piip4 Yes sir you're right you notice the difference , One main reason why LCD is inferior against plasma because it easily changed its natural viewing in different angle. I have Plasma and LCD and i immediately noticed their differences especially in viewing angle. Try to watch your lcd at different angle and its sucks!! thanks for the reply.

  • @coolferds06

Yes I have a friend with plasma and it looks magnitudes better.

  • @piip4 im sure the plasma scren is gettin hit with alot of light , thinkg abt what if the light bulb is just on top of the plasma screen would make sense why its so bright on the top screens

  • how can be the plasma better of the Led Tv...this video is tricky

  • thx

  • Go to LED and LCD Store

    amazon.com/b?node=540734&tag=snca-20&creative=396069&camp=213765&link_code=ur1&adid=0RYEBZYQR4FKR51WJY4V

  • thank you

  • Plasma are the best, and more cheaper ( 200 - 1000 cheaper ) awesome !

Led sucks, high end model have display default, all plasma are perfect

  • Panasonic Viera plasma TVs and Samsung plasmas are always in the top positions in the ranking of the best high definition TVs, much better than LCDs, LEDs

    fact

  • oled tis would dominate them all if they made them cheaper

  • Its so simple, PLASMA is the best when watching movies. i have lcd and plasma

    lcd is trash.

  • is like the money more money better jajajajja 1080p

  • how does a Sony PSP 3000 games screen compare with a good LCD TV?

  • @dreamcastII It doesn't. :P

  • please tell me which is better plasma720 p or LCD 1080 p.

  • @gustavo88115 1080p is better.

  • @gustavo88115 You will never go wrong in choosing plasma. You only need bd or dvd player for upconversion to 1080p and you're problem is solved.

  • sony led is the best!!! diggas

  • Is it true that the plasma tv's, even the new models 2010+, lose their black levels after about a year? Does this happen with LCD or LED? Even the loss of black levels on a good panasonic plasma, would it still outperform an LED or LCD in black levels and picture in about 3-5 years of use? Thanks

  • @NewYawkCityTimes Panasonic has claimed that their new VT30's do not lose black level like the previous VT25's did. Additionally, it's been found that the Samsungs (the next best plasmas) are pretty good about not losing black level. Even after a year or two of use, however, the older models (VT25&C8000) would have far better black levels that comparable LED/LCD's. In fact, even after the black level decay in the VT25, it still had the best black levels of any TV including the C8000 Samsungs.

  • very well explained dude....thanks a lott!!!

  • Which one can resist a fist better? -:)

  • @Sinjinator i think thats a plasma ...ahaha

  • Great information and you are really cute too. Thanks, now I know what I want!

  • do you watch south park?

  • Plasma is the best in viewing movies, LCD is suck especially in angle and in contrast.

  • @coolferds06 The colors are weird on the LCD i want a Plasma

  • so what about plasma's burning in still images? where lcd/led does not?

  • best review iv heard thanks man you no your stuff .... panasonic plasma and Pioneer are the best ....i had a samsung for 1 years and a bit wont turn on no more .so i got a 50 panasonic plasma and its amazing .......

  • this guy is an idiot lcd looks blacker to me

  • LED is the best. Plasmas suck, if you leave a game on pause or something for too long it will burn into the screen.

  • @marcusman0192 yeah and they use so much more power i hate Electonic Consumers say Plasma have deeper blacks when most LED/LCD tvs have black correcter settings its so silly to even consider plasma now when LED tv are so cheap now even top brands.

  • @marcusman0192 if you bought a plasma 6 years ago then yah... this is 2011, the neo phosphers have anti image retention, which means there arn't any burns, once you start playing the game again and give the pixles a chance to re adjust for 0001 of a second, it will instantly go back to normal.

  • Thanks for the info, I am buying today and was leaning towards a Panasonic plasma so now I feel better about my choice.

  • Does your store sell remote controls?

  • r u supposed to do that with the screen? tapping on it.

  • Comment removed

  • Really great and useful video thx

  • LCD and LED more deep black than the plasma this is big problem because you can't see the deference between the black and other colors

  • which is most reliable

  • Just got a LCD samsung with color enhancers can really tell the diffrence

  • I agree with you on the points about plasma screens, but newer LCDS are also displaying pretty good contrast levels.

For a good and simple overview explaining the main differences between LCD, LED and Plasmas in Laymens terms, try googling lcdledplasmaguide

    Cheers'

  • OLED

  • I aint gonna lie to you man, im 50tyson, but aside from that. I dont notice any difference what so ever on LCD,LED,PlASMA. It's all the same display to me, no joke.

  • Comment removed

  • whats better for xbox 360 LED OR LCD OR PLASMA

  • Comment removed

  • the bottom one looks better

  • I swear Currys (electronics retailer in England) have all three (plasma, LED, LCD) adjacent to each other and it seems LED has the clearest picture.

Yet this review claims plasma it slightly better. Im confused. Any more information, anyone? please ..

  • @BoyBangla plasma tvs can show better black levels, can be seen from almost any direction, and look much better than any other tvs in dark rooms. one issue with them is their glare when in rooms that are lit up a lot, like most stores. and it depends on the actual tv and manufactuer mostly

  • will it blend?

  • Good 42 inch LCD - 600 bucks, good LED LCD-1000 bucks....is it worth it?

  • @ballsthatclank yeah it is worth

i showed the difference between two samsung LED and LCD more than 35 % that the LED is better

  • I've just ordered a new smart tv.. which is LED so I'll see the change from lcd which is now in my room and the plasma downstairs..

plasmas normally get offered a 3 year warranty from shops but they tend to break shortly after those 3 years are up so no guarantee.. so even if the picture may be better, LED or LCD is the way to go for better value

  • What about the issue with Plasma's where if you (for example) pause a game and leave it paused for a long period of time, the image gets "burned" into the display causing a watermark-like effect?

  • @MADMANx511 I experienced this with the original PIoneer plasma tv's back in 2001 new plasma's have a screen refresh utility that eliminates the effect of stuck screen burn in Plasma has always been the benchmark but because of its bad history it isnt as popular then the LED or LCD tv's but it does have a slightly better picture

  • i bought a panasonic plasma tv 2 years ago for over $1000, now it's broken.

    model: th-42px80u

  • @xxxiamthebestxxx no way I bought that exact same tv 2.5 years ago for the same price and now mines broken as well! Maybe this model is faulty do you think?

  • @ult1m4t30wn4g3 hey dude, u'd better report it to panasonic. i did. but i can't think of anything else to do :((

  • i don't like watching sport on plasma tv's. Anytime i watch football or golf, there seems to be a comet effect behind the ball. It doesn't do it on my led tv.
