haha. "ow. oh no, ow." lol. my friend was reading 100 years of solitude, but she was so bored with it, that i'd read it outloud to her whenever she couldn't force herself to read it.
sadly i don't remember anything that i read to her. lol.
Some of the strange faces/voices you do at the end of your videos remind me of Jim Varney from the Earnest movies back in the 90's ... and I love that...
YAY garcia marquez. Except that's so not his best book.
Read Love in the Time of Cholera, I think that's his best. Someone else told me A Death Foretold or something like that was his best work though so hmm..I dunno?
Haha, I've had that book for a year now and I haven't read it yet. Maybe I finally will... :-D You should read The Poisonwood Bible...also quite good.
They say when are in a relationship you start to develop and pick up your partners characteristics. You now say some phrases like Stevie. It happens. It is interesting. It is cool.
A hundred Years of Solitude a great great great book!!! amazing writer, he is Latin!! yay he won the Nobel Prize for that book. it's a great book everyone should read it. xoxo
OMG I love One Hundred Years of Solitude, but I read it in the original Spanish because to me the English version does a horrible job at expressing the thoughts and such from Spanish =S But nevertheless the book is AMAZING!!!!! The ending blew me away! Lol...
if you like that book you should also read the house of the spirits by Isabel Allende....somewhat similar with the time theme and stuff...its really really good
THAT IS GREAT JOE!! Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a Nobel prize winner and that is one hell/of-a-book xD I got the book in Spanish (I bet your sister recommended it)! you should read more books from Garcia Marquez! two thumbs up for you and that book!
woo i bought a used copy of that book 7 months ago at a book sale but never got around to reading it! thanks for reminding me i'm going to quickly run downstairs to get it..
i think ive seen love in the time of cholera, the movie..
does everyone die in that book? cos i just had a look of it on wikipedia to get what its about, and it says at the end of like each character that they die. blah.
it spans a lot of generations and chronicles different characters that are not living at the same time. So, yes everyone dies int he book, they're not immortal. they don't die at the same time.
the nick name of the author, so you can say it out loud, to impress the gents obviously, is GABO, he is Colombian, by the way (Guh-Boh, strong accent on the a).
just a little tid bit of information, that book is by a Colombian author originally printed in spanish, and you're right, it is really good lol, i haven't read it in english yet but it's ultimately the same thing... oh and, he also wrote "love in the time of cholera" if you've ever heard of it, or wanna read more books by him :]
Ugh . i used to take color theory. what a horrible class. the colors had to be PERFECT. i mean PERFECT. i love art. but being an art major sucked. that's why i'm a vet tech major now :) nice painting btw.
LOL, see, I was excited when I bought OHYOS but it just wasn't fast paced as I thought, so it took me about 6 months (had to put on hold for a couple of weeks) to read it. And dang those character names are confusing!!!! =D
There's a book called "Blindness" by José Saramago and if you liked OHYOS you'll love it.
You should read The Very Old Man with Enormous Wings by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Its a childrens story but its really good. If you like Marquez then you'd probably like that story.
I was pretty disdappointed in the sims 3, i mean you pay 60 dollars for it and they barely give you any items/furniture because they want you to go online and buy more. You basically start out with less than the sims 2 had. What a rip off. And you still can't see inside work or restaurants.. come on.
I actually didn't like that book too much. I mean, it was good, but it wasn't enough to be on a list of my favorites. Maybe I'll try reading it in English, to see if I like it better that way.
You saying that you lost internet reminded me to log onto MY school's website to check on assignments I might need. So... thanks for that! lol because I would have totally forgotten.
