  • Omg my kids have watched this movie probably 100 times, I was like I really want to know what they are saying now that I do I like it. Thanks

  • I think that it kind of sounds like English and French words that have been stretched out and mixed up

  • Thumbs up if you read the book first and the movie wasn't as scary as the book.

  • best...lyrics...ever!

  • this song......always freaks me out O.O

  • sounds like "very scary toys."

  • It sounds so freaky !

  • This is not in ANY language. The language is gibberish. It's just to give a freaky effect, and I really think that they accomplished that.

  • Did you mean " please save our souls!!!" not " Please save out souls!!!"?

  • Tim Burton makes the best movies. Like if you agree!

  • @RainbowSkittlez1000 this isn't a tim burton film.

  • @OurBathroomStall yes it is

  • @AlexAisu Nope. It was directed by Henry Selick and based off a book by Neil Gaiman.

  • @OurBathroomStall *likes your comment 10000 times*

  • awesome!

  • always gives me the creep

  • this song creeps me out! nothing in the movie scares me as much as this song! just wanted to say that

  • @CoralineJones13 over reaction much, dumbass?a scary movie doesnt have to be MA15.

  • Oh, and most people consider this song to be Russian, if you've ever heard Carol of the Bells, the voices are very similar, Carol of the Bells is a traditional Ukrainian Carol, so they'll naturally sound similar. Lastly, the book and movie have Russian names such as Bobinski and the story itself traces its basis from the Beldam, a witch in European myths, that like the Other Mother, spirited children away. In other words, it seems rather fitting that a Russian song was chosen for this movie,

  • @greenbunnyluver it is based on it, if you listened to the movie before. the ghost children found were saying "Save us from the Beldam!" when they met Coraline. Thanks, now i know that its russian, just like many things I just happened to like, too.

  • @greenbunnyluver No. Most people do NOT consider this song to be Russian. Probably because they know what Russian sounds like, and this sure as hell isn't it!

  • Oh god I just so screwed up my last comment. I meant to say I've never heard of a single gibberish song, I feel so stupid now... Plus any songs with gibberish in them likely have English in them too, this song has zero English.

  • My proof is that I have heard Russian songs, and this sounds Russian. Furthermore, I have never heard a single song that sounds Russian, though I agree, these are definitely not the actual lyrics.

  • @greenbunnyluver What kind of "proof" is that? I speak Russian, and this is not Russian. Doesn't even sound remotely Russian, for that matter.

It was recorded by a children's choir in Nice. (that's in France)

  • wats the langeuge of the musi ?? c

  • Actually, it's sung by a Russian choir, and Russian isn't gibberish, so the director's stupid.

  • Epic ~_^

  • meow ~_^

  • AHHHH people! this isnt a real language! the director said himself that this song is just gibberish!

  • Are you sure those'r the real lyrics?

  • @Caramelldansin the lyrics are really just gibberish this person probably made this lyrics up

  • i love this song

  • Wow the song is so much creepier when it's translated.......

  • Ehm, What language was this in ?

  • @zelmanclocklove11 gibberish

  • anyone lese when watch the movie stay at the end of the credits?

because at the very end a message appears that says: fot those who know: yerk wad (or something like that i cant remember) and i REALLY want to know what are they talking about if anyone knows please tell me...or not if is a bigass spoiler (so sorry for my lame english i hope you guys understand what i type here)

  • @1stSecretInvaderEve I have the book and I'm reading and in the book the Coraline asks the cat his or her name and the cat says, "Cats don't have names. Now you people have names that's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are so we don't need names." The cat meant that we need names because we don't know if we exist or not but cats don't need names cuz they know they are here. Did u also know that Wybie is not in the book he is only an additional character!!

  • This was a book?! MUST... READ!!!

  • "swearing, smashing twinkie! NO!"

  • What language are they singing in?

  • @GamerGirl122872 french

  • @dinogirl71 no it isn't french , it's an imaginary language.

  • I remember when I first viewed this back in 2009, the line "Things won't be the same" just got me enthralled, because it completely reminded me of what the book was portraying. Many of the songs on this soundtrack really seem to fit better with the original novel, as I now believe that the movie (obviously) stereotypically expressed the moral w/ a whiny Coraline & her rude parents. The book has a darker mood and more balanced flow, just like these songs.

  • @SkellingtonFan5 What do you mean by that..?

  • This shoudl of been good for the Child's paly movie!

  • I love how the graphics goes. You don't need to draw it, you just need clay to move. I think it's harder than drawing it but it's worth it. Anyway, I am curious about the black cat's real name. Anybody knows who is he?

  • this is jibberish... french and i think dutch sounds were morphed together to create all these songs

  • ☻_☻

  • luv this song

  • Scary...

  • this song gives me goosebumps

  • Just to let EVERYONE know, all the songs in the movie are sung in gibberish, nonsense language. It is not French, or Hungarian, or some lost form of Latin. GIBBERISH.

This is just someones interpretation of what they think the lyrics would mean.

But don't go searching Google Translate to try to figure out the lyrics, there are none!

  • @TheEternalMusic actually, theres a chance the language is a mixed language, made up from mixing some languages together

  • I thought it was in French?

  • 12 people got eaten by the witch

  • @flashcodec9999 by the belldam

  • @bakuganfangirl67 by the evil witch wag who tried to sew buttons into my eyes!!

  • Comment removed

  • i think that the run and save us is actually something like "she's coming for you to

  • i think that the run and save us is actually something like "she's coming for you

  • @SkellingtonFan5 its 12 now. xp

  • where did u find the translation?

  • I like what it says even though these words are just make believe. I like this song. Now I cant get it out of my head.

  • @hawktondog Your face looks a lot like your ass, I see how she got confused.

  • I am in love with the coraline soundtrack! And the movie!

  • does anyone have the words to mechanical lullaby (the one in the very very beginning where she's sewing the doll)?

  • @missbelarae98 They're all gibberish songs, no real lyrics.

  • thumbs up if you think Coraline is a horror film.

  • the other mother missed me and sowed a button to my butt :(

  • @SkellingtonFan5 don't you mean the BELDAM

  • @SkellingtonFan5 don't you mean BELDAM

  • ohhhhh GOD when i saw "the witch will eat you too" I was thinking i would be SO scared if i was in her place!

  • ☻_☻oooohh creepy

  • i think you've been duped, not unless the lyrics that are said more then once have multiple translations

  • @karla7707560

Very nicely done. You think you've really captured the spirit of the movie.

  • I got goosebumps lol

  • ☻_☻

  • @kindykids100. How do you make button eyes?

  • @jaycoob1 copy, paste. WE CHEATED!!!!!!!

  • Creeeeepyy the movie was good too .

  • If my mom gets a house i'm gonna make sure it has a small door that leads to the kitchen. So when she says DINNER i can go through the little door made of cotton...

  • even though the song is gibberish, the translation is cool and creepy and also fits well

  • @jaycoob1

    so true.

  • this song gives me chills

  • I Love coraline! I love it so much i just sang it the other way, eventhough i had no clue what language it was i went : selis selis frightend girl selis seis ahhh dum dum selis selis FRIGHTEND girl selis selis soooo :P

  • 11 people let the other mother sew the buttons.....

  • ok i love this song <3 i dont know why its just AMAZING. remember...the witch will eat you too :)

  • @ally895babe

Yeah, I picked up on it after I watched it all the way the second time. My mom didn't even notice it and she had to rewind it back to listen to it herself. She had to tell me that the doll Coraline had was watching her because in some scenes when it was facing away from her, it would suddenly be facing toward her in another scene like when the cat happened to notice it was in the windowsill when it wasn't before. Creepy.

  • @technologick1183 haha i love the movie Coraline

  • @technologick1183 keith david is AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • It's not gibberish... If you buy it on iTunes it even says "Hungarian" on the top while it's playing.

  • @TeamSeymour

Sorry, TeamSeymour, it's not Hungarian. The composer made a statement that the French Children's choir sang this song in phonetic word and syllables so that ANY person could enjoy the music without understanding the "language" . Any "translation" is purely genuine and not his own.

  • i just got finish watching this movie

  • Now I understand it. Finally!!!! OMG that's some scary ass lyrics right there.

  • Isn't the original language French? But they just made it sound like gibberish? I think so.

  • lol there are no actual lyrics, the song is gibberish. It's not a real language

  • Comment removed

  • @Animelovers101s Do you still have it?

  • Comment removed

  • i sung it in english while it was playing

  • Can you tell me what font you used?

  • I love this song : )

  • watz da name of da song????? cuz i wanna play it on violin.

  • isen't it a mix of english and french?

  • HA! these lyrics are wrong! after the boy sings his part at 1:08 the choir goes back to the same words sung at the beginning of the song rather than what the boy just sang. So..... damn... now I'm even more confused....

  • I don't understand how there can be a translation for nonsense? Did the creator actually give this english "version?" or did you make this up as what the ghost children would say? I mean, how would it be possible if the words were nonsense? Does that mean there's no alphabet? So literal translation would be impossible right? .....ugh... I need to lay down.... @_@

  • Actually its a nonsense language. Look it up on wikipedia

  • Actually this song is in french. It's just the way they sing it that makes it sound like that.Besides.Bruno coulais i think is french.

  • @posidonyaoi Tried translating it to English. It's not French.

  • Thank you!!!! So much for posting this....

  • When I watched the movie last night I listened to the end credits music, and Im like,''Whata whata what?'', But now I understand!

  • Hell this is creepy. Although Coraline is a children's movie it's pretty scary and grim. That woman killed those kids.

It's not the creepy singing of vengeful ghosts that'll kill you if they get you, but it's like a warning or something. Eesh. *shudder*

Thank you for uploading this! I better not put it on my Ipod though; I might scream in public when it comes on if I'm not prepared for it XD

  • It does sound kind of French and has the rhythms of French; not surprising when the guy writing the music is French. However, it's utter gibberish and has no meaning other than that which the listener gives it. Clever bloke.

  • Noooo guys it's not jibberish it's hungarian. Look it up. The Children's Hungarian Choir sang this:/

  • HAHA, it is jibberish, anyone who tries to translate needs to get laid and get a life. It is sung by lucky children in hungary from Nice.

  • I love this!! Yahhhhhhoooooooooo!!

  • That song is creepy when its translated..............im scared of that song lol

  • this might be gibberish but it probrably isnt because i dont think that they could make such a good translation if it wasnt gibberish. GOOD JOB

  • Comment removed

  • @TheG3ORG1NA Hungarin however u spell it

  • How did u know the translation?

  • why would it be gibberish anyway? thats a let down :(

  • Hmm, the first four lines rhyme? But the rest of it doesn't...

  • I sooo love this =D

  • by the way i cheked it up and i think theses are the actuall lyrics they might not be but it makes perfect sence

  • yer its gibberish but the english translation u made up is freaky the bit bout your next well thx for datt jk

  • ahh thank you!!

  • even though it may have been gibberish, the english sure makes it seem like it WAS an actual foreign language.

  • Like many have said before, this gibberish, it's not german, it's not chinese, it's not a language, just a bunch of made up words.

I think the point of it is to activate your imagination. Y'know, make up your own lyrics and believe whatever you want to believe.

  • @eXcite8D i think so to but it is great=) so at least someone made lyrics about it

  • umm...there's isn't an english translation...it's all made up words lol...gibberish!

  • you know the lyrics are actually gibberish right, they aren't English or any other language, they are gibberish

  • @Lozlovesmusic No it's Hungarian

  • @Lozlovesmusic actually no there is a english version and this is it. you can translate the words from gibberish. its like translating each word they say into english so yea there is a english version and people who thumbs up for your comment are idiots. its like translating each Spanish word in english. there is always a translation,

  • @Lozlovesmusic Actually its a nonsense language. Look it up on wikipedia

  • @Lozlovesmusic it is words. it there own words. it actualy means something.

  • @Lozlovesmusic It's a pretty good translation anyway.

  • @Lozlovesmusic duhh this is for the people who are wondering WTF is that song saying!

  • @Lozlovesmusic it's a real language, its just older and deader than latin. this is lishinish

  • @envysdaughter howd you know?

  • @flashcodec9999 i was taught it when i was little, my family is in love with their heritage

  • @Lozlovesmusic Really? I thought it was in German or French, or something like that- one of those creepy languages that they always seem to play during creepy movies like this one... but, yeah, as soon as I heard the OP and the ending, I really needed to hear English Sub cuz I was curious.

  • apparently, 9 retards missed the like button. -grabs baseball bat- perhaps we can fix that

  • what language is this originally in???

  • @ExMyHeartOut No, it's just gibberish.

  • @coralinejonesish it is? oh, well its a nice song anyway

  • These lyrics are utterly fake. They're fan lyrics. The language is gibberish. The words are.... Completely made up. Bruno Colais even said so.

  • love the song but it crepped my parents at 1:00 am :)

  • In what languaje they are singing? I don't recognize it...

  • @mx060990 no language, unless you count gibberish as a language ^^ it's totally made up, actually - seriously ^^ people keep swearing it's french, but i know french and none of the words match up to any french. so there you go ^^; sorry if it's not very helpful.

  • @kristibitch oh! it's Ok! so interesting information! thank u very much! :)

  • okay, i'm telling u guys, this is NOT french. it's similar, but all evidence points to the fact that this is indeed just gibberish. if there really is a 'translation' for it, i'd say the creator of the song probably just made it to satisfy the audience's curiosity. btw, did anyone notice that the end of the song actually repeats the beginning, and yet the 'translation' says it's different words? like i said, gibberish.

  • Acually this video is complete bullshit considering the writer of the song said it's all just gibberish

  • this is creepy and cool

  • did the directors and creators of coraline create the song specially for the movie?

  • what language is this in?

  • @signup2comment

    hungarian i do believe

  • what font are you using!? i love it!!!!!!! -plays this song on Halloween to freak people out-

  • lol i took gibbrish, so its kinda easy to kno
