I know it may not help much now, but remember that all our precious "Babies" cross that rainbow bridge and wait until they can meet up with us again. Even in the bible it tells that ALL of GOD's creatures will return to him. I have had some experiences after the loss of some of ours that they are still nearby to watch over us whenever they want to.

They give their all to us, unconditionally, and expect little in return.

This video makes me sad...for tomarrow I have to put down my Harliquin Great dane...he has a brain tumor, I am 15 now and got him when I was 6...It is truly heartbreaking...I really dont know what to do.

so sorry..i know what its like to lose a loved pet. We had to put down two of our dogs this July from old age. Its so hard to watch and when youre done your mind is in such a shock that the world is still around you. But they will always be in your heart, no matter what.

I understand the loss of a pet... I had to have my Shadow put down 3 weeks ago... He was a Great Dane,wolf,german shepard cross and he belonged to my mother before she passed away. Shadow was 15 years old which is ancient in doggy years.

I just lost my beautiful 11 month old Fawn "Aslan". He was a wobblers dog whom we decided to have surgery on. He then spent several weeks in rehab. He had problems walking on his left side, the rear leg would drag. Finally, on June 5th he was outside playing with us and fell down in a seizure. We rushed him to the vet, but it was already too late. They put him down that Saturday morning. I still walk by his empty crate looking for him. May he rest in peace and run the hills of Heaven.

I am so sorry. My heart would be broken if I lost my Dane. I have had several different breeds of dogs since childhood and there is no dog as loving as a Dane. You must miss him terribly, I'm so very sorry.

i'm sorry for your loss. danes, i believe, truely are the best dog you could ever have. they're so huge and have such destructive potential, yet they're so incredibly gentle and loving. i had to move 6 hrs away from home where my dog is and i rarely get to go home and visit. this video brought back memories and tears. once again, i'm truely sorry for your loss. i hope you can find one that fills that holes in y'alls' hearts.

We lost our dane in June 2007 while we were on vacation in Spain. She travelled every year from Belgium to Spain at a distance of 2200 and return after 3 or 4 weeks. She has been very patient. Zoë was a loyal friend and companion. It hurts so much to watch your video. It is a good thing to share with us the great moments you have captured. They are regal and proud yet obedient.

I'm sorry about Titan. It's so very hard to lose a true companion. I've recently lost my 12 year old Great Dane / Rhodesian Ridgeback boy. He was such an amazing dog; I posted a video response of Duke running on the beach during his last year.

There's nothing better than a Dane for a best friend. Best friends come and go often in our lifetime, hang in there.

we had up to 3 danes in the house at one time. simba was the protector, sheeba was the fat queen, and sasha was the spoiled brat.

2 fawn and 1 black.

simba was 10, sheeba walked away from the house she was 6, and sasha is still around.

I remember the neighbours and everyone else were just terrified of it, but Bola had the gentlist and most loving nature imaginable.

Great Video, I´m a Dane (from denmark, not a dog), and i love these dogs as well. In Denmark we call them be their french name: "Grand Danois". In spite of their size they sure are gentle creatures, like the Danes (he he). But they we not breed in Denmark, it was some german guy who breed them, and then named them: great danes.

As an update, Shelby, our Merle took quite a while to come out of mourning, but is now happy with her new "pesky" little brother- A beautiful Blue male 16 month old. He has put a lot of life back into the house!

Our Great Dane is 7 years old now, I was 17 when I got him as a 6 week old pup. He's grown up with me, matured with me & been my best friend. I will be totally devastated when he goes.

If only I can repay him with the love and happiness he's given me, it will all be worth while.

I have lost 2 very precious dogs in my life and I am worried as to how much longer I will have her. Titan was a beautiful dog and I'm sure he was a best friend and companion.
