The worst part is people don't even bother to countdown or whatsoever.
The entire 'countdown' was so dead that I didn't even realised it until new year was over. It was totally wasted.
The chaos after that was the worst part, the crowd control, IMHO, was terrible and the metro wasn't up to expectation, for me, at least.

everyone standing by the eiffel tower was expecting fireworks - it was the biggest let-down. Just one single banger that a tourist let off. Go to London for New Year - it's much more exciting.
